Ellen DeGeneres' Message!

Hey!

What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be out buying my issue of "O Magazine?" I want this to be the best-selling issue ever, and I'm gonna need your help. If you're one of these "computer people," you can click right HERE and order one on my website.

Also, Dough-vember is still going strong. I've been giving out a lot of dough -- and even a few cars! I still have a lot planned and you never know who I'll choose next, so keep watching! I've also got $25,000 to give away at the end of game week! Why shouldn't I give it to you?!

I love giving away prizes so much, I want to do another giveaway, but this time it's just for my newsletter subscribers. So, if you got this message from a friend, you might want to sign up now. If you're a subscriber already, enter HERE for your chance to win.

Good luck!

Now stop reading this and go buy yourself an "O."

Hi, Ellen!

How are you? I am glad.

I love you and your show. On a day that I cannot physically see it when broadcasts in the morning, I tape it and see it the next time I sit down to relax. There are many laughs that I cannot wait to have the next day, like the web videos and "What is wrong with these photos?" And God bless you as judge on "American Idol".

Thank goodness for your show. It is the only reason I have a sense of humor at all. My living environment is just like being caged up. I have no privacy, the air circulating around my apartment is foul, and I owe for rent and utilities. There are of course credit card and loan bills. My health is waning by the month because I do have money to even go to my doctors.
I am forced to move again because of shortened income and substandard environment. My desire is to move back to where I was born which is New York, but apartments and houses are like 3 times the amount I am trying to pay.

It would really change my life if I can be a contestant on you show. I wish I was there when you had the 12 days of giveaways. That was so exciting, especially was interviews and bits were interrupted.

Hi Ellen!!!
My name is Leticia and I am 13 years old. I am one of your biggest fans in the whole world and absolutely love to watch your show every day after school. You always make me laugh even when I am in a bad mood. I love to see all the good things you do for other people and how you change their lives when they are at rock bottom. The first day O magazine came out, I rushed out to get it.I hope one day to meet you because you are my idol and such a good hearted person!

JUST KEEP DANCING. THAT IS ALL YOU NEED. LOVE THE SHOW AND HOPE THAT YOU HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY SEASON...

Ellen, We LOVE your show. You bring me & my husbend Randy alot of joy. A thought to pass on, how blonds truly think. How dumb is this old saying? A watched pot never boils! But an unwatched pot boils over! Hope you smiled. Yes I am true blond, Happy holidays to all.

Hello Ellen,

Congratulations on you cover of "O"..You look amazing. Ellen my family and I watch you show every day, from different houses. You inspire me every day that your show is on. Your energy that you have, I wish I had! Ellen I along with many other people across the United States have suffered financilly the past year and half. I moved from California to Arizona in June 09 to start a new life. I lost my job last year and then things started to go down from there, my townhouse I had to let go, my car is in the stages of being repoed, and I keep moving on telling myself things will get better. I took a part time job in Phoenix because that is all I can find for the time being. I have my 15 year old son that lives with me who is the one that is missing out on the necessary essencials for everyday living.( Never Complaining ) my oldest daughter had to come home from college in June because I could not pay the $4000.00 dollars to keep her at Oakland University in MI. My middle daughter just gave birth to a beautiful son on Oct.22nd in California, and I A NEW GRANDMA have not been able to even lay eyes on him, due to finances. I am living with my girlfriends mother who opened her home to us because of our situation. After all that we have been through, I have managed to stay sober!! I will celebrate my 10th. year of sobriety on NOV. 26th 09 THE DAY OF THANKGIVING..I ask you to find it in your heart Ellen to help me out in this troubled time. I know their are alot of other people that need help too so if you feel it is best to help them first, I understand..wow Thank you for letting me write to you! Best wishes always, Marilyn

oYOU ARE GREAT

Hi, Ellen! You are always the highlight of my day! I watch you in Tennessee and my daughter watches you in Missouri. We talk often about what has happened on your show. They say that laughter is the best medicine. By now, you should have received an M.D. in every specialty there is! I'm writing on behalf of my daughter, or more accurately, my 3-year-old grandson. My grandson was born 12 weeks premature and weighed only 2 lbs. 13 oz. He is a fighter. He is now 3-years-old, but at 1 year, he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. He still doesn't walk or talk, but we pray for him every day and hold on to optimistic hope that those precious functions will come to him one day. My daughter had to quit her full-time job as a cosmetologist when my grandson was born. Her days now are spent taking him to therapies every day (physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy). We are blessed to have those available where she lives. But...she is driving a hand-me-down vehicle with 172,000 miles. They live in the country, and every time they leave for a therapy session, we hold our breath hoping that her car will make one more trip to town. With the economy so tight, and with her inability to work, it is very difficult for their family of four to make ends meet, and a car payment is absolutely out of the question. I know you are not a car dealer, but if there might just be a vehicle available, it would change the world for this family. Thank you, Dr. Ellen, for listening to me, and you can bet that our family will continue to listen to you!!

Hey Ellen I think your wonderful and you brighten my days. I'm hoping that you could help me because I have had a terrible time the last several years. I have a severly handicapped child who is also blind and another one with food allergies. We have hardly any money coming in and my house keeps going into foreclosure, I can barely pay my bills. My childrens dad made only 11,000 last year and so far this year he's around the 5,000 mark. I never realized that I was in the...poor...category until I heard Obama say that the middle class was 150,000 and I thought, Oh Lord, I'm dirt poor according to that. My child that has CP has been in the hospital on life support back in May for 2 weeks and I have to drive back to Pitts. every 2 and 1/2 weeks for her pump to be refilled. She has severe scoliosis and has started having seizures and I just came back from WVU hospital, I'm trying to get someone to see if they can fix her spine. She really needs a bed called the Crib Bed which was featured a while back on Home edition special make overs. The man that builds them in located in Lewisburg W.V. and he does this for special needs children, without making any money for himself. You can seen the bed on Cribbed.com. My daughter needs one of these beds so badly, she's been in the same bed since she was 2 and I cannot afford it, it's around 3100.00. I can't get any help because W.V. doesn't have a CP foundation and I've been trying everything I can possibly think of. I'm afraid that she is going to fall out of her bed, where the new bed is made like a crib for a small baby and it's a twin size for bigger kids. My daughter is 19 but only weighs 59lbs, so this bed would be great for her and my peace of mind. I have a 9 year old who has never really had a Christmas because we were flooded out in July of 2001, in a carwreck in Jan. 2002 and my mother died in March 2002, My father in law in Oct, 2005 and I lost my dad in Sept of 2006, so we have pretty much know one to help us. The contractor messed my house up and a lawyer has been trying to get my money back for almost 9 years, I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. I was in nursing school but had to quit to help take care of my mother and now I owe quite a bit in school loans that I can't pay back. I get very depressed around the holidays because we have no one and spend them here at our home by ourselfs, I have never had company on the holidays. I can't work because she require 24/7 care, not counting I have health issues of my own, diabetes, diverticulosis, degenerated bone disease, thyroid disease just to name a few. I've had to have aprrox. 9 surgeries in the past 2 years for other reasons. We use to do fairly well but because of the economy we can barely make it, compared to now I feel like we were rich. We have never even been on a vacation as a family. I'm constantly back and forth to Dr.s and I am trying to do the best with what I have. I have no help with my child and I am spending everyday this week at appointments hoping to get her help with her scoliosis, which is so severe, she's at a 66 degree curve in her spine and cannot sit up properly, she falls over to the side and cries alot because of the pain. I'm hoping you will help us, I'm just about at my wits end. Your a very special person and may god bless you...:0)...

Hopeful in W.V.
Angela Privett

Dear Ellen, I'm writing to you because my husband and I are having tough times. he got laid off , and my hours were cut from 40hrs to 21 hrs a week. However every day that I'm off I'm out there putting out applications. I have been doing this for week's. And have not received a single phone call. We have been married 23 yrs. though we keep a positive attitude. At night I find my self figuring out a budget. And no matter what I do or take away there just isn't enough money. We can't cover our bill's with my little bit of income , and his unemployment. We are behind in our electric by 300. + and well our vehicle payments are behind, every time I hear a vehicle I fear there here to Repo one of the vehicles. I already had the house phone cut off. We are barely putting food on the table. My mom who is 70 lives with us. and she just got out of the hospital. and is going through several test.my oldest son is 18 and a senior in high school who has a pt job working at walmart. and he pays for his own car insurance. but he offered to give me 25. a month. Thank you for listening. We love you, Keep doing what your doing girl... God Bless !
Love Engle Family

Hi Ellen I just love u and your show have been watching it since u started it and love it. I have my own business http://www.allhalreysales.com and http://www.allmotorsales.com and I work hard. I took a dream and went with it and glad I did. I don't make much with it and try to help people who are selling cars and bikes. I sold my car to get this business going and I hope my gamble pays off. I would love to have a used car to help me out. However on the other side many other single moms and others need it more than I do. I'm having to move for I have a landlord who won't fix anything. I have water in my kitchen sink that won't drain and have to wash dishes in a container. I have had the housing codes out here. I have some pets and I won't give them up at all. I would love to have a car to help me out. I would love to see your show in person for your great. I told my friend that when I can afford it I'm going to your show. It is on my bucket list. Your a prime example take your dream and work hard and it may come true. Starting this company was a dream and hope it works out. Some people who have cancer etc I won't charge to list the cars for them. I do hope it does come back to e for I want to get a office going and hire people and it my web sites done better so I can have a office and help people out with jobs. Love you Ellen and protect our wild m Mustangs in the West

Ellen;

I am sure you have recieved many e-mails regarding your give aways. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and togather for 25. In the past few years we no longer have any 401k. We have used all our savings and my husband has lost his job 2x's in the last year. Once due to outsourcing to India and the next because the last company filed for bankruptcy. We no longer have any medical insurance and can barely afford our rent and car. The past few years he has taken many pay cuts just to keep a job. He has been in the computer industry for 20+ years and is soon turning 50. He returned to school because he lost the chance at decent jobs due to no degree. In the past few years he has sold his Taylor guitar, Dewalt scroll saw and really anything else he could. We have no longer bought any presents for each other and felt really bad that we couldn't buy a present for our beautiful grandson. Last few Christmas's I have just wrapped empty boxes to make it look like we bought each other presents. My husband has maintained a 4.0 grade point average and we live on my social security disability and his unemployment insurance. We have fallen behind on everything and just struggle to make rent and the car payment. I would love to boost his spirits and quit borrowing money we have no way of paying back right now. At this point he has lost hope and just hope we can pay our rent and car. We pray he can find a job when he graduates next year and we have a place to live. Thanks for just being there and giving a place to post my frustrations.

Hey Ellen I have a dilliema, I have been trying to get tickets for your 12 days of Christmas shows for about 5 or 6 years now, and am constantly checking online for days that are opened up, because I have spoke to a few people at the studio and on your line to the studio where I actually get a live person to talk to and I have asked and inquired about this dream of getting tickets for then and everyone says that I have to request tickets from the online website or be put on a waiting list. Well I have requested them online I have also e-mailed you every year and have made numerous phone calls and also have atttended a show awhile back and inquired then in person, AND I KEEP GETTING THE SAME RESPONSE "GO ONLINE AND THAT YOU HAVE TO BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST" WELL ITS BEEN 5 OR 6 YEARS NOW AND I AM STILL WAITING TO FIND OUT HOW I CAN BE PUT ON A WAITING LIST OR HOW I CAN GET TICKETS. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME IN FULLFILLING THIS WISH OF MINE??????

Hi Ellen, I am 66 years old, and have several medical problems that cause me to need to go to the doctor quite a bit. I am on social security, and can't afford to have my own car. My husband works, so, he has to have our only car. He works an hour away from home. Please keep me in mind when you are doing your give aways. I feel bad to have to call around trying to find someone to take me places. I love your show, and, will still love it wheather I hear from you or not. Thanks for listening, Linda Hanson

God bless you Ellen!!!!!
