Are You Near Lake City, GA and Able to Help Felicia?

dough-vemberIf you watched the show today, you saw me surprise a viewer, Felicia McCurdy, at her home in Lake City, Georgia. (And if you didn't watch my show... why not?) Felicia and her family are struggling financially, so I sent Jeannie to surprise them with my Golddigger machine. I loved them so much, I ended up giving them some extra cash to help pay down some of their debt, and while talking to them, I decided I want to do even more.

Felicia and her husband are strong people who are doing everything they can to provide the best for their children, and I think some of my viewers can help. If you are reading this and think you can help them out, write in and tell us. Thanks.

Ellen,
When I saw that you had helped someone in Georgia I had hoped it was my friend Kim Key whom I wrote you about. Helping Felicia pleased me just as much as if it were Kim. I called the electric company today and pleaded with them to turn her lights on with the money I had left from my SSI check and God made it happen. Keep up the good work my friend(you are the true definition of "friend")God truly blessed you.

hey ellen, love your show and your heart, just seen felicia from georgia , GOD BLESS YOU, made me cry i was so happy for her. keep up the good works.

Dear Ellen -- I have to tell you that the video of you surprising Felicia just made my entire week! I was moved to tears and know that Felicia and her family will sleep well at night and get ready for their new baby because you have taken the burden off for a little while. And I bet through your readers she will be further blessed with a job and a whole new circle of friends! That's what it's all about, connections, we're all int his together and people helping people. I wish I could be as generous as you, and I try so hard in my own little small town way. I have seen so many struggle through such trying times, that it makes my trials a lot easier to bear. I love your show and wish I could watch it more. I have several episodes taped, for one of these days when I get a day off I am totally going to rest and do nothing but catch up on episodes allll day long. For now, I am soooooo blessed to still have a job. It may not have been my 'dream job' when I tarted, but I've stuck with it for 25 years and am soooooooooooooooo proud and lucky now!!! Best wishes to you for continued happiness!!! Ohhhhhh and I can't wait to see you soon Cover Girl!!! How exciting is this!!!??!! Much love, a big fan from Maryland.

Awesome!! What you did for them - just awesome, Ellen DeGENEROUS!! Bless you for passing some of your blessings on to those who need it.

I just got done watching your show where you gave the family in GA so much to help them. You are truly a God send and it is amazing when you do the things you do. You will always be blessed because if anyone deserves it you do. Thank you for taking the time to show America how we should treat each other. With compassion and caring. I wish that I could help in GA but I live in NY so I volunteer here and help anyway I can. Thank you again.

Ellen, I watch your show everyday.I think what you did for Felica and her family was great,it brought me to tears. The world needs more selfless people like you." God bless you!"

Ellen - I took the day off b/c I thought I was over worked. But it appears that I should be thankful more than over tired.

With that said - I would like to try and help felicia. The company I work for is looking for people in Atlanta, GA.

You can have her email me and I will talk to HR and see what I can do.

You are truly first class gal.

Take care-

My husband and I watch your show and we are in awe of how generous you are to help out these people that are struggling so hard. You are totally unbelievable. We have worked hard all of our lives and raised our children.(2) I took care of my parents for the last 8 years of their lives and now it is just he and I and our little dog. However before my parent's passed away we had purchased a large home to accommodate all 4 of us. This home is too large for he and I. Now that he is disabled he cannot keep up the yard which is 1.25 acres and we had hired a service but I find that difficult to keep up. While my mom was sick and I was trying to work and take care of her I had a lady that came and did major cleaning once every 2 weeks. I let her go back in January. My business has been slow these last few months and my customers are slow paying to the point that I cannot draw a salary to pay my household bills. As a result I am in danger of foreclosure. We wanted to sell the house and move into something smaller and more manageable, somewhere other than Florida. But I don't see that happening in the near future. There is more but I am embarressed to go into it. It is nice when you help those other folks that have no work and are having such a hard time. Any way we will survive and overcome this as we always have just right now it seems so hard. Things will get better because we have been down this road before and we always survive and things do get better. But I think that is the song. "Sounds like Life to me"

Ellen,

I must tell you, that you are an Angel! With so many people struggling today the generosity that you show to people is AWSOME!!!!!! What you did for Felicia today brought me to tears. Your Mom has to be so proud of you. You should be very proud of yourself. You may not hear this very often but, You ELLEN are a true HERO!!!! The way you step up and help total strangers, just because you are you. It is great to see that someone out there still has a heart.
GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!!!
LOL (Lots of LOVE)

I am the queen of "happy tears" whenever something heart-touching happens. Watching with the rest of your fans, I was absolutely broken down on your kindness and good-will. YOU PAID HER BILLS! Everyone in America is struggling, especially Felicia's family... and for you to make such a specific change for them is unremarkable. You are a blessing Ellen... and I hope you are continually blest just like you help so many! One day I will get out there and come to the show and dance, dance, DANCE with you in the aisles!
With Love,
Annie Malander

Oh My God Ms. Ellen You are truly God sent.
As I watched the show with the family from Georgia it was truly comfirmed that You are a great great person. Even though I am going through hard times right now (family and I), I was just so happy to see what you did for that family. Your last name says it all, You are truly The Generest (Degeneres) Person I know.
May God continue to bless you and your family so that you can continue to do what you love to do.
I LOVE YOUR SHOW especially when you dance and tell the real stuff that you do. I feel as though I know you personally, you are so personable.
Maybe one day I will be able to come to one of your shows. I have been off work for 1 1/2 years and I don't know how I am making it, but I am with the help of God. So when I get some money, I am coming to your show.
Keep up the good work.
Christha

i just want to say that i thuink its great how you help people and how you cheer everyone up that watches you . i watch you daily and have been since your sitcom days thanks for making my day brighter

Dear Ellen,

I just wanted to say that was such a wonderful thing that you had done for this family. I too had my heat shut off for over 3 months which was over the summer, thank god, but now I saved up enough to get it paid off to get it turned back on. I am a single mom taking care of my 2 year old daughter and younger sister but I work and thats even hard to do by myself so I think that you are such a wonderful person and good people deserve to be helped especially if they are trying themselves.
