Hi Ellen,
My name is Chris Rodrigo I am 16 years old and I'm writing you this letter about my mom.My mom is 32 years old and has many health problems. One of them being a small inoperable brain tumor that has cause her nerves to become irritated and she deals with daily debilating pain.Somedays she might have an ok day.My mom has changed alot and she always trys to do her best. She always says she"s going to get better one day and work again to help my dad out and give us what we need, but her health is just no good. She always has other problems going on with her.She always has to take medicines and antibiotics. My parents don't have great health insurance and owe alot in medical debt.My mom crys ,because she always needs to see a doctor, but all they think about is money. My little sisters and I just want our mom to be normal again and if there is anyway you can help my parents out Ellen I would be so grateful.I just wish there was a Dr. who could fix my mom and my parents wouldn"t have to worry about my mom getting care and how much more money they are going to owe. Thanks for reading my letter Ellen.

Thank you,
Chris Rodrigo

Dear Ellen, Your Amazing; We heard about your doughvember give aways and was overcomed with ideas. My name is Jamie Hunley. When I heard about you helping people the way you do my grandmother came to mind. She is an amazing woman also. Shes not only my grandmother but shes my angel. She raised me since i was 3 weeks old. Shes now raising my 4 children. Shes 65 Yrs old. In 2003 my husband, the father of my 4 children, had a real bad car wreck and was brain damaged. He had to learn everything all over again, even walk. That day basically destroyed me. I had a happy family one day and lost it all the next. I got on drugs real bad and ended up losing my children. So i wouldnt loose them to the state my grandmother took custady of them.I am now off drugs and trying to put my life back together. My grandmother is on SSI,and doesnt have any money but she does the best she can.Shes over 70,000 $ in debt now and had to sign her house over to her son so she wouldnt lose it just to give my children the best she could. She is a dedicated member of Vestal Baptist Church and so are my children. The house is falling apart, The wiring is so bad you cant plug anything up without fear of the house burning for the second time. There's no heat other than electric and all 5 sleep in one room to keep warm. She hasnt had a car since my papaw died 10 yrs ago so she walks everywhere she needs to go. My mom does all she can to help. there's a million things more i could share but have limited space. Shes an Angel and needs a Angel like you to answer her prayers. Please help her and my children Ellen The best way you can. Words cant explain how much that would mean to her and me, if anyone needs help she does. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU SINCERELY, JAMIE AND TOMMY

I can't believe what you are doing to help people around the country. You are truly a blessing. I am in dire straits financially and did send in an entry, but even if it isn't read, I'm enjoying seeing what you are doing for others. It shows that no matter how bad things get, there still truly is hope. I've been a widow for 10 years, and watching you and Portia together has brought back such good memories for me. Enjoy every second you have together. When my Bob died, I didn't allow myself to fall into the "why me" trap. We had 7 years of a relationship that some would give their lives to experience 7 minutes of. I see you and Portia and thank God for the gift I had been given. May you have a long and happy life together.

Dear Ellen,
My name is Tamara Rushing,I am 35 years old.I was diagnosed with breast cancer the 4th of june. I've been in and out of the hospital, also have had 3 surgeries and mastectomy on november 13,2009 i've been out of work for 15 months, im not able to work, i'm trying to get disability. I'm on the verge of losing my apartment. I have 2 kids to worry about.I'm trying to move closer to my mother.CAN YOU PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, here it goes. I was pushed out of my job in 2006. I had some money to last me about a year and a half. It's been three years now and I'm sure you know that the automobile industry is hanging by strings. (Thats my industry.) I have 22K in credit cards bills and 12K auto loan. All I am asking for is a loan to payoff all this stuff (at a really low interest rate) and I would pay payments to you beginning in January. I'm actually down to 3K (Money in my pocket)right now and could really use the help! Thank you!

Thank God for small miracles! Ellen, you are special! This is a time of need for many families, myself included. This year has been rough. On my 31st birthday I had surgery to remove a small tumor on my jaw, only to find out that it was cancer. I was recently laid-off from my job and now am among thousands seeking work. I have 2 little boys and planning for Christmas is not looking good at all. The medical bills alone are burying me and my family. We looked into a Home Equity Loan, but of course - there is no equity in our home. Our lives are day-to-day. And we are blessed to be close to family, but it's come down to choosing where to go (gas prices) and what bills to pay (what we can afford). Thank you for reminding each of us that there are people out there that can and do help each other.

you are a wonderful person and god will bless u ten fold for the things you do for people in need. god bless thelma

Ellen,
My x-husand and I live together and I divorced him because he had gambling problems and wouldn't pay his bills. Well we have been back together for a little over 3 years and he is trying to watch his gambling (horses) and is doing a pretty good job but he has nothing but bad luck. He had to file bankruptcy and if he would have known at the time that this was going to happen he would have included one of his bills in the bankruptcy. He had went to a lawyer to fight a workman's comp situation and won and they were to pay his medical bills. Well 4 years have passed since that time and his bills were not paid so now the bill collector is coming after him and he does not have the money to pay them and they are threatening to take him to court, etc. This would be a really good Doughvember if his bill could be paid. I watch your show about every day and when I can't watch I usually record it. Thanks for reading this.

It is my daily dose of laughter and it makes my soul feel with joy:) I even record your episodes and when I am sad, I know I can watch your show and I will feel up with happiness! I know despite my circumstance, everything will get better! You give me inspiration:) You are such a wonderful person and it is so kind of you to do the things you do for others! Even though I have a hard time right now taking care of my own family, you have inspired me to do for others and give to others as well. It makes me so happy to see someone else smile! Thanks for being who you are and making a difference in all of or lives! I hope to get to come to your show some day! Thanks again! Love Gwen G and family

Ellen,

I think you are amazing. You looked so happy on the Oprah show with your wife and I loved the holiday cover of O. You do great things for your fans. You deserve more, like your own holiday. Just a thought. Keep being you.

Ellen! Hi - I had the great pleasure to see your lovely and charming wife at the SAG screening of the season premiere of 'Better Off Ted'. I was in the front row with my sis! I'd seen Oprah earlier that day but was not prepared for her grace, wit & beauty - inner & outer. You are one lucky dame! Does she have a brother?

Ellen - I'm broke. But I have everything I need. I love my life!

Wow I am a single mother also have a 5 year old son and only work but 10-15 hours a week. I could not afford to get my car fixed and registered so I am sharing a car with my mo until I can come up with the money to get it fixed. I would love to get help from you like you did for the women on the show the other day. That was great you gave her a new gmc. Can you help me out at all.

Ellen,

You're an ANGEL!
You're Mother must be so proud of you. You are truly going to Heaven.I get tears in my eyes everytime I think of what you did for the single mother. I'm married and my husband is very involved and it's still hard... I think you ROCK!

This is my sister!! My family is so greatful for the generosity Ellen shared with Tania. I know this was a dream come true for her. She works so hard to provide for her son and herself and it seems like for every step she gets a head something pushes her 50 steps back. She has always been a fighter and never gives up on her dreams and goals, especially now that she has a beautiful boy to take care of. She is the first person that would help someone out even if it were her last dollar. I am so lucky to have a sister like her and I just can't thank Ellen and the show enough for making this happen. This show is my family and I's favorite show because of how uplifting Ellen always is. I think we are all so lucky to have Ellen "in" our lives!! Thank you again Ellen for making this once in a lifetime opportunity exist, you are one of the most AMAZING people on earth and I think everyone could gain something from watching your show!!
