Rocking for 25 Years: Bon Jovi

bon joviI've had a lot of amazing bands perform on my show, but few get as big a response from my audience as Bon Jovi. It was clear from the start that they would be big, but I don't know if anyone could have predicted just how successful they've been.

It all started 25 years ago when a 20-year-old guy named Jon Bongiovi was hired by his cousin to work as a janitor at the Power Station, a famous New York recording studio. He took the opportunity to record a few demos for himself. One of them, titled "Runaway," quickly became a hit on local radio. Soon after, he formed the rock group Bon Jovi, and they've spent the last 25 years creating hit after hit.

Hey Ellen, thanks so much for having Jon Bon Jovi on your show again, yes he really does make that band number one. I love his voice when he speaks, laughs and of course his singing. Bonjovi would never have been so wonderful without him. All the guys are so charismatic to watch and wow what a performance. I am coming to the States next year to see them, and I cant wait. all the way from South AFrica. hey Ellen, are you impressed with me?

i really want to have the opportunity to win tickets to see Bon Jovi.. please! please! please! Ellen give me that opportunity please!

I love Bon Jovi!! I actually invited Jon to sing Bed of Roses at my 50th Birthday party last year, but for some reason, he never showed! LOl!! I still love him and will always be a loyal fan!! Thanks for making my day Ellen!!

They just keep getting better and better! Great talent and wonderful to look at! Everyone of them! Keep Rocking!

Thank you for bringing Bon Jovi into your show. love them!! but at the same time I am dissapointed that they have turned into a money grabbing group. Their ticket prices start at $29.50, but you have to seat on the top, behind the stage...for you to have good tickets you have to buy one of the VIP packages and pay more than $300, they go up to $1,800. I think that with the times we are living and this groups that is to be portraited as a regular people oriented group, they are not serving their fans. Their ticket prices do not reflect that.
I was really excited to go and take my son that is a huge fan. My son grew up listening to my cds of Bon Jovi, he took to his first show and tell my "slippery when wet" cd as his favorite and still is.
But as of this moment he is in for a big disapointment. I was willing to pay around $100 per ticket, but that do not even get me out of the nose bleeds seats. So for know we will watch them on you show.

From a dissapointed and heartbroken fan!!!

Thank you so much for having my favorite men on today as always with your show my DVR is set. I have been devoted to them for the last 25 years and I have been to 29 concerts. They have gotten me through more than half my life with their great words of wisdom through there music as well as all the wonderful attributes in which they contribute to the people. I blow up my facebook wall each and every day with what I call my Jovi Buzz..lol so all my friends are up to date in NYC. I truly need to smile right now. Love you Ellen your show lifts me up each and every day!!

Thanks Ellen for putting Bon Jovi on your show again......he's the bomb! Gorgeous smile, hair and butt. Oh, and talented too....lol! I am a HUGE fan of them and of course I have every CD and trying to get every DVD and movie ever made. My collection keeps on growing with memorbillia from his figure (doll), t-shirts, purse, etc. I even decorated my computer room or should I say my "Bon Jovi" room. A shrine of sorts....no it's not creepy! That smile of his can turn any frown upsidedown.

Thanks again :) for having them on so I can "Have a nice day"!

After 25 years of loving Bon Jovi, it's still a total THRILL to see them in any way........Thanks for bringing them into my living room Ellen!! ....hoping to see them for my birthday July 24th at Gillette Stadium!! GO PATS!! GO SOUL!!!
