Everybody's Talking About Adam Lambert

adam lambert

Adam Lambert may not have won "American Idol," but right now he is arguably the most talked-about contestant from any of the eight seasons. His glam-rock style quickly caught attention, but what kept everyone hooked was his incredible voice. No one could stop talking about his performances of "Mad World," "Whole Lotta Love," and "Ring of Fire."

Although a favorite of fans and judges alike (after one performance, Simon Cowell could only respond with a standing ovation), Adam came in second place to Kris Allen. But he's stayed in the headlines ever since the show ended.

Most recently, his overtly sexual performance of his first single "For Your Entertainment" at the American Music Awards created a firestorm of controversy, however, nothing can take away from his pure talent.

He just released his first album, "For Your Entertainment," on which he collaborated with some of the most successful people in music, including Lady Gaga, Pink, and Kara DioGuardi.

When Ellen finally got to meet Adam for the first time, she was clearly impressed. Since then, he has stopped by several times to sing -- including on her birthday! He most recently stopped by to perform a stripped-down version of his Grammy-nominated song, "Whataya Want From Me." Be sure to check out his previous performances of "If I Had You" and "Strut."

Hi Ellen! Love you and love your show and LOVE Adam Lambert. He has so much talent and charisma he's destined to become a Legend. Please have him on again...I never get tired of hearing him sing!

So glad to see Adam on your site. I was beginning to think you had deserted him but that didn't seem likely. Hope he's on your show real soon.

I love Adam Lambert. He has the most incredible voice and is one of the most honestly interesting people I have ever seen. I hope his career last forever. I loved seeing him on your show. I still have it recorded on my DVR and watch it every Saturday. He was so excited. I have been to 5 of his concerts, seen scores of videos from other shows and feel very lucky that I get to see his last performance of this tour on 12/15. I look forward to seeing him on your show again.

Tonight my husband and I will be glued to the TV to see him on the E! True Hollywood Story.

Do you know when Adam Lambert will be coming to Texas? His tour is all up north! We would love to see him here!!!!!!

Great interview and performance...wish there had been more of Ellen and Adam dancing...soo cute!

Love them both.

As to the fashion style...no robbery...Adam responded to that tale a few days ago that he had been rockin' the look when Bill K was in middle school. They both are very creative; we need to enjoy.

oh god no ones going to like me... as much as i love Adam i personly think he should just admit that Bill Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel inspired his look. please don't hate me i do love Adam.

I love your show and was so excited when I seen Adam was going to be on again. What a great birthday present! Thank you for sharing your birthday with us and allowing us to enjoy Adam, too. He is such an amazing singer and he seems so nice, great to look at, too! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Ellen! What a great show, and how fun it was to see you treat your audience to all the awesome goodies! Didn't anybody tell you that the birthday girl is the one who is supposed to *get* the gifts? :) As for me, my gift was getting to see Adam Lambert. I love any opportunity to watch this amazingly talented singer perform. I'm really hoping he comes to Houston on his tour, otherwise, I'll once again be taking a couple of days off work so I can travel to see him, as I did for the Idol tour!

Happy Birthday Ellen! I enjoy watching your show and I think you are kind hearted, funny and smart.

Thank you for inviting Adam to your show for the second time. He is truly one of show business' / music industry's greater discoveries and I believe that he will be here for the long haul.

Adam is amazing. Thank you Ellen for supporting him. He makes real passionate music. What I love most is his honesty, sincerity, compassion, and passionate. His here for a very, very long time. I am glad I am joining his journey.

Thanks again Ellen, you are so sweet for choosing him to sing on your birthday special. I know he is special in your heart. Cheers!

And...

Happy Birthday Ellen!

Denise Russell in Conroe, Texas

I just want to say, how much I enjoy Adam Lambert. I am hoping that he will start to tour. I will be a very happy person amd also I would love to meet him in a meet and greet. He seems like a great person. Thanks Gen R. Ellen you are one of my favorites can not wait till I can come to your show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Job!!

Adam Lambert is deffinetly one of a kind, and amazing.
it was great to see 2 of my favorite celebs on the same stage when Adam was on Ellen.

Adam is an amazingly talented vocalist and performer. I do agree, he stated on your program, that he got a bit carried away during his AMA performance (I love the video on his website by the way) but there was definately a double standard as Lady Gaga's performance is far more offensive in my opinion. To take it even further at least Adam was not pretending to be something he's not just to get a reaction like Britney and Madonna and other women have done on live TV.

first off I'm 50,soooooh!!!!!! I think adam is the bomb, I love his ways, he is cool to watch and great to hear, everyone knows he should have won Idol, he is unique and rare, parents need to watch and care for their young children, we cannot loose his talent because some idiots let thier kids watch,I say!!!! go to bed, read them a book, pop in a chritmas movie, and let the rest of us see this really awsome talented guy. I do not want him to change, if he does like some of them do, then they get lost and you never hear of them again, do you remember when metalica tryed to cange a few years back? you can't change what people allready love, they did and it didn't work.
so, don't change, you will get lost in the crowd.

Thank you so much for having Adam Lambert on today. Ellen's interview with Adam was fascinating, and Adam's performance was breathtaking. Adam is the most amazing singer I have ever seen, and I am so happy that Ellen recognizes his talent.

Everybody is talking about Adam Lambert. Why aren't they talking about the other performances on AMA's? For me his performance the most entertaining if not exciting. Lady Ga Ga second favorite and probably more risque. Double Standard?
