Adam Lambert may not have won "American Idol," but right now he is arguably the most talked-about contestant from any of the eight seasons. His glam-rock style quickly caught attention, but what kept everyone hooked was his incredible voice. No one could stop talking about his performances of "Mad World," "Whole Lotta Love," and "Ring of Fire."
Although a favorite of fans and judges alike (after one performance, Simon Cowell could only respond with a standing ovation), Adam came in second place to Kris Allen. But he's stayed in the headlines ever since the show ended.
Most recently, his overtly sexual performance of his first single "For Your Entertainment" at the American Music Awards created a firestorm of controversy, however, nothing can take away from his pure talent.
He just released his first album, "For Your Entertainment," on which he collaborated with some of the most successful people in music, including Lady Gaga, Pink, and Kara DioGuardi.
When Ellen finally got to meet Adam for the first time, she was clearly impressed. Since then, he has stopped by several times to sing -- including on her birthday! He most recently stopped by to perform a stripped-down version of his Grammy-nominated song, "Whataya Want From Me." Be sure to check out his previous performances of "If I Had You" and "Strut."
