I read this book years ago and do own it. I have come through an incredibly challenging, heart-wrenching year. I think it is time to read it again and re-adjust my compass. I'm a writer myself. I'm SO excited that you are a reader and are posting books. I believe that your endoresement could make a good book go through the roof, not unlike the Oprah touch did for many authors. I would dearly love to see you having a regular book spot on your show, encouraging folks to "Buy The Book"! Great name for the bookstore on the FIRST Ellen show, by the way! A huge group of us, about 30 lesbians all got together and had a party and watched your 'now famous and classic' Coming Out show at the close of that first hilarious series. Ive had this book for years now. It is a life changing book, and is one i can continue to return to time and time again. Its change from the inside out.
I own this book and enjoyed it also. It allowed me to have another outlook on life. very interesting. We have a lot of the same taste in books. Be well!
This is a fantastic book if you're looking to broaden your horizons and see life in a way you may not have before. It was recommended to me years ago and I've kept a copy close by ever since. Such simple thoughts, yet they can change your whole perspective in every situation. My personal favourite: Don't take anything personally. It'll change your outlook on life. So great to see it here Ellen, you have good taste!
I was reading a magazine that listed this book as one of Ellen's favorites(gosh, probably has been close to 10 years ago now). I took her recommendation then and it opened up a whole new perspective that changed my life. Some day soon, I'll be sitting next to Ellen, in one of her red chairs, discussing one of her new favorites...."Heavenly Birth". I'll personally thank her for being one of many who helped prepare me to overcome adversity in the midst of my daughter's leukemia and Heavenly Birth. :0)

I loved this book and will re-read it later and often.
It is a very special book. My Minister carried it in the church book store what a treat.
