These two authors may be blunt about what you're eating, but then they offer a guide to making educated decisions about your diet so you can be a skinny bitch.

I agree with Jenny's comment about watching all the "meat" substitutes, alot of them have some kind of animal ingredients like dried whole eggs caesin etc etc, This is a fabulous beginner book for those looking into going vegan, its a really easy read, that is straight to the point and very easy to read form cover to cover in just one siting. For those who have already gone vegan and are looking for a more complex book that is very imformative and interesting I reccomend ready "the China Study" by Dr Campbell. It is a very good book, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is vegan or is trying to be.
Although I mostly eat raw, I still am a huge fan of this book. It really is a no-nonsense approach to explaining why one should go veg. I wouldn't call this book choice boring at all. These girls don't hold back.
Are these really the books you are reading? Boring! How about some great fiction! Let me know if you need some ideas.
Have you read that book by Maria Munroe It Gets Better! very inspirational, very good outlook on life!!! available online at any book store
Loved this book and lived by it religiously for almost a year. Just be careful with all the soy substitutes for meat. Stick with the natural ones like tempeh, tofu and miso. The faux burgers, chicken, etc usually have soy protein isolate, which is processed soy and just as bad for you. Too much soy is NOT a good thing. If it grew that way, eat it!

This is one of my favourite books,
and one of the main reasons I went vegan.
Everyone who doesn't understand why people go vegan should read it.
