Melissa & Ade's Beautiful Dance

When Ellen guest judged "So You Think You Can Dance" this past summer, Melissa Sandvig & Ade Obayomi performed a touching piece inspired by breast cancer. Ellen invited them to share it again today to honor the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Watch it here.

Hey Ellen u rock over all the talk shows. I think ur the best and very funny.

I thought the dance was beautiful on SYTYCD, but it seemed even more intimate watching it on your show without all the extra lighting. Melissa and Ade, you were both beautiful. Ellen, thank you for bringing them on to perform it.

Hi Ellen,
I have been trying to email you for over a year. But when I press submit the page kicks back to my information and says that I have not completed some box that was erased somehow and I keep filling it in and it keeps erasing. What am I doing wrong?

I was trying to let you know that my husband and friends and I saw you in Oakbrook Illinois in the 80's. You were very much into plaid and you had on slacks, blouse and a vest with your curly hair(I love your hair now.) Anyway there were some rude people in the audience and you scolded them for talking. Being a pisces I was scared that you would scold me too! So boy did I sit up straight. Why didn't you tell me that you were going to be famous, I would of asked for your autograph...another missed opportunity

Luv ya , Nancy

first time i saw this it was very emotional- gives you chills. thanks ellen for sharing it with us again

thanks for sharing melissa and ade! you give of yourselves so genuinely and generously. that goes for you too ellen! my mother is a survivor. i'm racing for the cure tomorrow. i read above that someone is buying cheerieos for the cure. anything and everything helps. it means a great deal to me when people support the fight against breast cancer. thank you ellen, from the bottom of my heart, and my breasts ;)

The dance didn't reduce me to tears like so many other people talked about. I felt like it was waaay over-hyped and although beautiful, it wasn't amazing or over the top. There were far more dances on that show that moved me to tears without all the back story there to set me up. In fact, this piece annoyed me.

Hi Ellen,

What a hot show today, keep on rockin' us, baby!

I just love you guys!

Hi Ellen:

I knew you would have this dance on your show when I saw you as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance. And why wouldn't you--the music and dancing is extremely touching and moving!!!

I was just wondering how your audience was effected. The camera didn't pan out to them. Especially the women survivors of cancer. I really wanted to see their reaction.

It was beautiful. Thanks Melissa, Ade,and Ellen!!!

I had no idea that a dance could move me to tears until I watched that night! I didn't even hear the story before the dance, so I didn't know what it was about. It was so very moving!

Ellen!!

Yes I remember watching that night and thinking.... WOW! That is beautiful. I also remember getting 3 tissues from my kleenex box!

I bought a box of Cheerios today with a pink ribbon on it! Thinking of getting another box as well...its on sale 2 for $6! plus I'm fighting cancer! I also donated at the cashier as well!

Hopefully we can find a cure for all cancers. Patrick Swayze....still in shock.

Love everything you do for humanity! YOU ROCK!

The dance was amazing! Who's the artist that sang the song?????

Hey, what happened to all the 93 negative comments about all the size 0 people!!

The dance itself, is a beautiful piece of art.
Ellen,Thank you for having,Melissa and Ade on your show.

Ellen, I loved that dance. I ball my eyes out every time I see it. My mother was 59 yrs. old when she lost her life to breast cancer. That disease is aweful, to see someone go through it, we have to find a cure. It will be 10 yrs. Oct. 17 that I lost my mother and I do the walk around the Charles River in Boston every year. What ever i can do to help someone else not see there loved one suffer from this god forsaken disease I will do.

I to thought that the dance was breathtaking!! Their moves moved me to tears. Ellen does do alot for Breast Cancer research. I need the research because I am battling Type IV Breast Cancer now for 6 years and the more research that is being done, the more years that I live. My mother and I were diagnosed with it the same year, but my mother lost her battle 4 years ago. Thanks Ellen for all you do for Breast Cancer. Lets find a cure!!!

I thought the dance was absolutely breathtaking! I could feel the emotion with every move. I love what Ellen does for Breast Cancer Research. It is very personal for me as I am a survivor who has lost 2 sisters to the awful disease.
