Im a monthly donor, and love this organization. As a dog, cat, fish, guinea pig, pot-bellied pig, duck owner, its so good to know there is such a great organization to help those of Gods creatures, that cant help themselves. Bless Ellen for supporting them!
this is one of the animal abuse charities that my husband,Jeff, and I have given to.also. Even thru the tough times we had this last year we did our best to donate a lil something to these folks. they do such wonderful work trying to save all the animals possible. People can be so cruel to our four legged friends and I myself don't see how someone can mistreat an animal and look in the mirror at themselves and not feel guilty for it, but those people are out there and these folks aere there to save. I have to say thank you for what you do.Kudo's to you all.
The A.S.P.C.A IS A great group to have in you area,we had to get in touch with the a few times when i thought something was goin on in my neighborhood. They cam to my call and checked it out and saw what was going on. they rescued the dogs and all my neighbors took the puppys, to have a safe home .They checked the puppys ,out and gave them all shots and cleaning and all is well .
Greetings Horse Lovers!! At Flurry's Hope, we believe that we must speak up for those whose lives are in danger. As many of you know, blind horses are often pointlessly killed. Their tremendous ability to be great mounts is not understood by many, and so their lives can be considered worthless. Thank you for taking a moment to see what we are doing with these special horses and all of us who are involved. We are a non-profit based in Madison, North Carolina. Please visit our website and thank you for caring,

Dear Ellen,
I see you help so many people and I have a daughter who is 57 years old. Has had cancer 4 times and two major surgeries. We, almost lost her on the last one.
She now trying to raise a granddaughter and the child is seven years old and is quite angry because her parents cant keep her. My daughter works a full time job and still is barely making it, she has a vehicle that we are just praying will stay together. Her husband does not have a very good job and is not able to work more. I just wondered if you could help in some small way. I thank you a concerned mother. Jo-Ann Cain
Dear Ellen,
Ellen I love you and I AM your biggest fan. I have been watching you since you had your TV show and feel "they" did you bogus all because you wanted to free yourself. But look at you now and where are they. I'm a single mother with four children and I want to give them so much but I can't. I tried to move from our neighborhood but can't afford it. Ellen I feel I can tell you this because we are best friends in my head , I have a bug problem (roaches) and so my daughter won't bring friends over. I keep a clean house but when you live in a duplex you can't keep your neighbor house clean. I have decided that the same way you were determined to be on the cover of O magazine well Ellen you will get an email from me everyday and I will tell you a story about my life be it past or present I'm gonna share it with you. Ellen I love you and without you I would be bored for a hour everyday. Well gotta go email you tomorrow. You want world domination and I want this. :)
I live in Tennessee where as of lately has been in the news with the ASPCA because of the puppy mill raids. As an animal lover, I was very sickened by the findings in my home state. I joined the ASPCA nearly 2 years ago to give these animals a chance to survive. Animals are living beings and should have the chance to live the best life possible. Even though I am unemployed due to job loss, I still find some money to send to the ASPCA because I know they are a reputable organization and have the best interest of all animals.
ASPCA, In our small community we are full of farm animals the ASPCA only takes small animals, sad because so many of the animals in need are the large animals, We have a few caring hearts that do take the horses and cows but not enough room or money to save them all. The next county will take the animals but unfortunately they don't follow up on the animals after they are placed. For example the horse I have taken in...
This horse was rescued by the ASPCA, He was a beautiful black arabian stud that was locked in a barn for 16 years of his life. Never knowing what the outdoors was. They gave him to a girl that then gave him to someone who knew nothing about studs, horses, and had no means of taking this horse. She was scared of him and unable to handle. His bloodlines are some of the best and his beauty and composition exceeded the rest. Instead of facing the facts that she couldn't handle him, just having him registered and selling him. She gelded the horse at 17 years. After years of neglect, he was subjected to it again. Left in a pasture with no food, water, or shelter with several other horses and animals, she left the barn, leaving him behind, worthless now with no papers, no training and an 18 year old gelding(that only knew he was a stud), no one to take care of him, he arrived at my barn for what was thought to be a short stay, I now have had this horse for over a year but with this economy this has become a burden on my finances. There is nowhere to turn, I have tried to sell him(give him away) and yet there is no one that wants a 19 year old gelding that doesn't ride and never knew what a tree was until he came to my farm. I have worked with him but due to physical disabilities after an accident I am unable to train horses anymore. I don't know where to turn, the rescues don't want him back, there is no large animal SPCA help in our county. In fact, the director and half the board resigned due to scandel. Networking with the rescues has led nowhere. I am asking for any help that will lead to re-homing this horse to a farm where he can live out the rest of his life, happy, safe, and without neglect. The other rescues around this area are over 100 miles away and discourage taking in animals from so far, is there funds or grants that would help with the welfare and upkeep of these animals? I see how active you are with the animal rescues, but in the community I live in we are limited. Thank you.
