I started reading this book in need of a new perspective of my life purpose and I had to put it down because I couldn't wrap my head around it.. does that mean that i am not ready to ...Awaken to My Life's Purpose! Is there a book that I should read before this one?
a favorite of mine ...I read it...re-read it...read it again...and learn something new every time I pick it up- if you like this you have to check out "The Heart of Yoga" T.K.V. Desikacher- keep smiling Ellen and I'll do the same! peace!!:)
Actually Ellen is much wittier than Oprah! Is it that hard to comprehend that two talk show hosts like the same book? It took me reading it twice to get my head around his theories...still working at it.
WOW, I must say this book is WONDERFUL! I am a positive person by nature however I experience times of deep depression. I came across this book and it has really helped me discover why I have been going through these times. I must say I am spending less time in my "pain body." I am dealing with things a lot better and will never put limits on myself again. Thanks for sharing your books and I have made up my mind that I will be starting new eating habits as well. Thanks again and may you and your family continue being blessed.
WONDERFUL....This book, Absolutely amazing. I had, for so long, no choice but to fall victim to the circumstances which surrounded me, until I read this book. I feel peaceful and powerful and with greater clarity, accompanied by a strengthened ability to articulate my needs. Living life and breathing deeply in a place of unremitting mindfulness. Thanks Ell, for shedding, overdue, light on this book.

I read Echart Tolle's book. It changed my life. I began to really see myself from the inside out. I learned how to deal with the "pain body" I learned how to better deal with the day to day stresses in life. I learned how to be grateful foe who I am and what I have. I learned where I am in my life now(my current life expierences) is directly related to causes I made in the past. I learned to forgive and that happiness in not a thing but a feeling. And to be happy means to generate thing that give me good and positve feelings, like giving and helping others......This is a great book for anybody of any age......

I haven't read this book, but another one by the same author called "The Power of Now". Since I'm usually too tired to read after a busy day, it took a lot of time (several months), patience and persistence to read through the book. It was difficult to grasp the ideas in the beginning, but once I slowed down to really think through what Eckhart Tolle had to say, it made sense. So for anyone who is frustrated at not "catching on" quickly, don't feel bad. Take your time and enjoy the journey of discovering new ways to view and live life.
