Message from Ellen -- Week of September 21-25

Ellen DeGeneres' American Idol Message! This week flew by, and boy are its arms tired. So are my arms. Not from flying, though. From doing this all week.

I cannot get enough of the Shake Weight, which a lot of people find surprising for some reason. But I love it so much, I gave one to my friend Queen Latifah when she stopped by.

I also gave one to Jennifer Aniston when she was here. She thanked me by singing. She's a fantastic singer and a good friend.

Speaking of friends, the lovely and talented Courteney Cox-Arquette is gonna be on the show next week. Speaking of lovely and talented, Jennifer Garner will also be here and I'm really excited. Speaking of being excited, Ricky Gervais is stopping by and he's never been on the show before. Not that he's not lovely and talented, but I wasn't speaking of that anymore.

We also have a surprise guest next week! I can't tell you who it is, but I can give you a hint. It's not anyone I've mentioned in this message. Because it's a surprise.

Next week's shows are going to be great. Although I do have something bad on one show. Don't worry, it's just Bad Paid For Photos, and were doing it LIVE with the audience. I'm also gonna show you a never-before-seen picture of me. I can't tell you too much, but I'm wearing a dress. And I'm with a man. So you don't want to miss it. See you then!

Ellen

I want you to know that somedays I dont have alot of time and I watch your short clips and I always laugh. You give me what I misplace sometimes and remind that their is good people in the world. You remind me that it doesnt matter how little you have-that being who you are is the key to be happy . I admire you! Hi Ellen,
Really looking forward to your new season!!! My partner and I always DVR your show!!
I've emailed you a few times regarding a subject of interest for your show. I play senior softball with a 55 and over team. We play all over the U.S. in competative senior softball tournaments and won the gold medal for the Arizona Senior Olympics. My team -The Castawaz was recently recognized by the Az Diamondbacks baseball team and we were introduced on the field. We are going to be playing an exhibition game at the new Diamondbacks spring training facility in the spring, as well as playing in the World Championships and the National Senior Olympics.
I think we are an excellent example of how to stay young and active for over 50's (aren't you over 50???). We would love for you to come and not only watch us play, but play ball with us. You don't throw like a girl....do you? Well if you don't, then prove it!!! If you do, we'll teach you how to PLAY BALL!!

P.S. If you don't take us up on this fabulous offer we will have to give Oprah this wonderful opportunity!

Hi Ellen,

I am old enough to be able to tell you that i fell in love with you and your comedy through HBO when you were still doing stand up. you are SO funny..... I read your book and have stayed a fan through your sitcom and your talk show. I am from Oregon and just got through fighting cancer, a very rare kind that not too many people get (about 1 in a million)and even fewer live through. I would like you to dedicate a show to sharing these types of cancers to educate the masses and develop a following of people so that people can meet and know others who have had them, but more than that educate doctors and care-takers on them so people can diagnose them sooner and save lives.......my story is very interesting, i was diagnosed with cancer of the appendix and had two options......to die or to go through what they call the "mother of all surgeries" in Washington DC by the founder of the only cure......the details are intense, but worthwhile to hear. I hope that you contact me...because I think it will be worth your time and could potentially help sooooo many people.

Hi Ellen,
I can't wait to see who the unknown guest is. I thank you for all the laughs.
I have been writing Yay May songs, & sending them in with my Yay may entries, for Yay May! I keep telling my co-workers I know your gonna call! hey it could happen. We have 2 days of work left.

Hope to hear from ya Connie

Hay Ellen,

You are soooo hella funny !Iwatch your show every day and you make me live, laugh & dance ! You really do inspire alot of people ! Cheryl

I just can't believe that Mississippi and its school district are so backward. These parents need to stop and think about how they would feel if this were their child. They fail to understand that we should not make gay people, or any people for that matter, especially young adults feel like outcasts. This is part of the reason they commit suicide. Thank God for the support Constance gets from her family.

Today is feb. 16 2010

Hey Ellen, Went to order the magazine but it was sold out. Wish I could have been in Chicago at the Oprah Show when you visited her. Chicago is where I grew up, got married, started my family.

Dear Ellen - First I'd like to thank you for all the laughs each day. I look forward to coming home after work and tuning in to see your show - the best way I can think of to unwind after a stressful day! You truly make a difference in the lives of many people through laughter and your generous spirit!
Secondly, I have a question - Why don't Canadians get a chance to enter your contests? We're your fans too!! I was looking forward to entering the 12 Days of Giveaways contest on-line only to feel very left out to learn that the contest is only open to residents of the U.S. Don't you like us Ellen?? We love you!!!

Sincerely, a Proud Canadian and Sad Ellen Fan,

Hi Ellen,
I am a 68 year old woman who is retired and started a sewing business out of my house "Creations By Barbara". There is so much sad and awful things happening in the world today that I just love to watch your sew and laugh! I used to quit sewing about 4:00 P.M. everyday to leave my sewing room at the back of the house to go to the livingroom to watch you. I finally got myself a small flat screen TV for my sewing room so I could continue to work but watch and listen to you. My husband knew nothing about you until he heard me laughing out loud all by myself every day and finally came to my sewing room and said what the H are you laughing about? I told him to watch and he would laugh to. He now is a big fan and enjoys you as much as I do! Thank you for as Oprah said in her article "just a delight"
Sincerely,
Barbara Burris

Hi Ellen. I've written you before. Matter of fact I got a note today (11/13/09) dated from you in September 09 asking if I'd like to be on your show. Of course I would. I'm an independent Romance Author and have six books published so far. I'm just learning how to do all this computer fancy stuff. Didn't think you even got my original message since I didn't hear from you. I LOVE your show. I laugh with you EVERY day. Best part of the day. My true wish would be for my grandson, Andrew, who has junior diabetes. He is nine now and has had it since he was six. He campaigns around raising money for research to find a cure.
I also have a brother who is struggling because of layoffs. He lives in Colorado Springs, CO and has two children. He could use a visit from Jeannie to help with bills. He is an awsome person and hates what this is doing to his kids.
Hope to hear from you now that I've figured out Facebook. Your future friend, Bev Faitz (fights)

Dear ellen on halloween day my grandson gave out thank you papers because he could not give out pizza after people gave him candy. i think that was so cute to me.
