Message from Ellen -- Week of September 21-25

Ellen DeGeneres' American Idol Message!This week flew by, and boy are its arms tired. So are my arms. Not from flying, though. From doing this all week.

I cannot get enough of the Shake Weight, which a lot of people find surprising for some reason. But I love it so much, I gave one to my friend Queen Latifah when she stopped by.

I also gave one to Jennifer Aniston when she was here. She thanked me by singing. She's a fantastic singer and a good friend.

Speaking of friends, the lovely and talented Courteney Cox-Arquette is gonna be on the show next week. Speaking of lovely and talented, Jennifer Garner will also be here and I'm really excited. Speaking of being excited, Ricky Gervais is stopping by and he's never been on the show before. Not that he's not lovely and talented, but I wasn't speaking of that anymore.

We also have a surprise guest next week! I can't tell you who it is, but I can give you a hint. It's not anyone I've mentioned in this message. Because it's a surprise.

Next week's shows are going to be great. Although I do have something bad on one show. Don't worry, it's just Bad Paid For Photos, and were doing it LIVE with the audience. I'm also gonna show you a never-before-seen picture of me. I can't tell you too much, but I'm wearing a dress. And I'm with a man. So you don't want to miss it. See you then!

Hi Ellen. I've written you before. Matter of fact I got a note today (11/13/09) dated from you in September 09 asking if I'd like to be on your show. Of course I would. I'm an independent Romance Author and have six books published so far. I'm just learning how to do all this computer fancy stuff. Didn't think you even got my original message since I didn't hear from you. I LOVE your show. I laugh with you EVERY day. Best part of the day. My true wish would be for my grandson, Andrew, who has junior diabetes. He is nine now and has had it since he was six. He campaigns around raising money for research to find a cure.
I also have a brother who is struggling because of layoffs. He lives in Colorado Springs, CO and has two children. He could use a visit from Jeannie to help with bills. He is an awsome person and hates what this is doing to his kids.

Dear ellen on halloween day my grandson gave out thank you papers because he could not give out pizza after people gave him candy. i think that was so cute to me.

Hi my name is Allie and I live in Pismo Beach near Santa Barbara. I am thirteen years old and I watch your show everyday. That is what I do everyday at 3:00 right after school. I grab my snack and I sit down and laugh at your funny show.I can't wait until you are a judge on American Idol. I love that show too, because I LOVE TO SING!! I have been singing since I was four and I haven't taken one lesson. All of my family and friends say that i am good. I love how you love the world and that you help those people that need help and that you are saving up for the breast cancer foundation. I have a friend that has breast cancer and she had to take Kimo.

Well if you do read this Ellen I would be honored.

Hi, Ellen
I just wanted to let you know that I think you are a great person and you deserve all your recognitions. I'm not asking for a car but just help to get back on my feet. It is so hard to live check to paycheck very month, I have a degree but since Im over fifty employers don't
pay you what your worth. All my retirement when to court costs when my son was involved in an accident. Now I have no income to fall back on. I would like a second chance to at least be paid for I'm worth. If not try to work from home. Is there any clerical job I can do for you from here or anything. All I want is a peace of mind not to worry if I can pay the rent or have food on the table. I'm a hard worker and quick to learn. If I'm helped I would pass it on to others

I can't understand why you say you on your show that we can go on your website to enter in drawings, such as today the 20 ipods, and then when I go there it does not let me enter. It keeps going back to a screen that says, sorry there are no tickets available for the show. I didn't even ask for tickets, because I am sure I could not afford to get there even though I would like to. I do, however like to take advantage of some of the prizes you offer, since I watch the show almost every day. Is this a gimic? Please let me know. Thank you!

Dear Ellen:I watch your show when the television here at Safe Haven isn't F*CKED-UP and we then can't get our cable channels. When you first aired I was an avid fan who had a crush on you (I love blonds), but when you married I was both happy for you and crushed. But that's me. Let's talk you! I love your show and can't get enough of you, or, for that matter, Get Smart (I have the first season DVDs) Are you coming out on DVDs? I'll collect!

Dear Ellen, it seems like I have known you forever, I watch your show everyday and have followed your life ever since I saw you do standup. Ellen the reasn I am writing, it's not for me or my Husband, it's for my 2 dog's (Ranger and Angel Marie). I know you are an animal lover and my dog's are my children. I used to demostrate your Halo dog and cat food at Petco in Oceanside, Calif. My Husband just had a stroke and I had to quite working to take care him, we get meals on wheels but the dogs don't have any food. Just wondering if you have any samples laying around. Laugh, Dance, and kiss your pet.

Hi Ellen, I love your show and do not miss it. It is on at two different times here in CT, so if I miss the earlier show I can see the later one. I would also like to refute Cathy "The Pie Lady". I am your biggest Scottish fan, and I have been baking for 39 years. Every one always asks me to make a dessert for them. I have a great idea, you can have me and Cathy come to your Scottish show and have a bake off of anything you want us to make. Hi Ellen, Just a quick "hello" to you from East Texas. Our little community is called "Fairplay" . One gas station, no traffic light. .Anyway, I have a "REQUEST" for your show. Would you think about having one called "ALL THINGS SCOTTISH". ???? I am originally from Helensburgh Scotland and have lived in the USA for 29 years now. ( Istill have the strong Scottish Brouge). Anyway, you could have guests like, Sean Connery, Rod Stewart, Craig Fergeuson to name a few, of course "ME" as I would love to meet you and of course the Scottish guests. I could share stories , recipe's and make you the "MOST MOUTH WATERING" HOMEMADE Coconut Cream pie, or chocolate if you don't like coconut. I would like to say thank you for having such a great show. I haven't had the chance to see the new show. But starting next week ,I finally can, today is the last day of my job. The store went out of business after 33 years. No I am not sad [maybe a little], I feel everything happens for a reason. Now maybe some friends and I can come for a taping.I really just wanted to say thank you for everything you do for the good of the people. I hope your show will be on the air for many years to come. Hey Ellen,

My son (aged 9) and I simply love your show. It airs in SLK at 1400 hrs and that's lunch time for us. We digest both simultaneously:-)

Since the shows are not current, could you perhaps, have the show's date displayed at the bottom left or right of the screen so that we know what point in time a particular show was aired?

I know that I'm not that impotant to you,but I
expected at leasdt an email from stating that you couldn't help me by contacting abc and extreme home makeover home addition, I could see you blowing me off but I kind of took it very personal
becuase the makeover was for my mothers home shes eightythree years old and her home was built in 1907 and sold the year she was born in 7/15/1926
she is the mother of all mothers she gave birth to twenty two children of her own and she is the last seviver of her generation and the babygirl of twenynine siblings.She is a women of greatness
