I can not believe you actually took the time to comment on Ellen's website - the nasty things you said. I am a born-again Christian and No, I don't believe that her lifestyle is Godly, however, that is her life...not yours. What she does in her personal life is none of your business! I think Ellen is a wonderful person! She is honest and genuine and I believe she will be a terrific asset to American Idol. I suggest the next time you have something nasty to say about a celebrity, you go some place other than their website to comment about it!!!!

I tried to copy and paste my husband's letter but I don't know if I did it right. So I will send this again with the hope of getting it through. Thanks a lot, Ellen! I hope I can dance with you in person and hug you and I will be in heaven.

You may call me a "homophobe", but I am entitled to my opinion. I am perfectly happy for Ellen's success on her daytime show. She is a very committed, hard-working lady and deserves any rewards that dedication brings her way. But, I just can't stand her personally. She irritates me beyond belief. I do not find anything about her comedy routines humorous. I am terribly disappointed that they have chosen her as an "Idol" judge. I truly don't think will ever be able to watch the show again, and believe me, I love American Idol. The last thing I want to hear are her stupid jokes that I am sure she will direct to all the contestants and fellow judges. It's bad enough that they have kept Kara as a judge. She has no personality a all. But at least she brings a life-long commitment to the music industry. What does Ellen contribute? Nothing that I can think of.

You will be a great asset to the show. They could not have chose anyone better. I've only watched 1 season. I will be watching. You are so funny.

I have read some of the hateful negative posts that some have put on here. Are some of us out there a little homophobic???? No matter what the bible tell us it also tells us Judge not lest we be judged. And how someone could condemn Ellen for being successful is beyond belief. Her success has allowed her to be able to help people in need and give of her time and money to help in many good causes. How about you quit wasting time and energy hating Ellen and direct it to praying for world peace, end world hunger and genocide,donate your time volunteering or giving a donation to some of these causes that need it.
Whether you think Ellen is funny or whether she can dance or be a good judge on American Idol is a personal opinion and like they always say "opinions are like A--holes, everyone has one." And although it makes no difference really, the real ones that do the judging on that show are the American People and I am sure not all of them have profession background or knowledge in music. With Ellen's love of music, I think that she may represent the public opinions better than even Simon or Randy so what's wrong with a non-professional being one of the judges. And if you don't watch the show, so what, that makes it even more petty to be so hateful. GROW UP!
I don't expect everyone to agree with me, cause this is all just my personal opinion. I know that not everyone is going to like me, and I am sure that Ellen realizes that too. So unless you are perfect or God himself, take your time and energy and do something worth while.

It is a wonderful thing because you love music and they need our point of view (music lovers)... Looking forward to watching your first show... I normall don't watch it but since you will be on I will watching!!!
