It's great that you caught George and what better way than with Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan of the Cincinnati Reds Big Red Machine? I grew up in Cincinnati and loved my Straight A tickets too -- only wish you had had time to interview them -- they were a huge part of any child's life growing up in Cincinnati in the 70's!

Hi Ellen,
I watched the repeat of the show with George Clooney and the Big Red Machine. I was a huge fan of Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan and was fortunate enough to get to see them play in the World Series in the 70's. I also have a little trivia that you may already know. George's Dad had a TV dance show in Lexington, Ky. in the 60's. It was called the Nick Clooney Show and was our local version of American Bandstand. Only local high schoolers were allowed to participate. You were considered very lucky if you were one of the ones chosen to be on the show. It was something we all looked forward to watching on Saturdays to see how many of our friends we could see.
