What News Personality is with Ellen?

Answer: Tom Brokaw

Early in his career, he worked as a tour guide at the Gavins Point Dam in South Dakota.

He is the only person in NBC history to host all three of its major news programs; "The Today Show," "NBC Nightly News" and "Meet the Press."

He moderated the second presidential debate between Barack Obama and John McCain.

When he retired from his daily duties, he was regarded as the most popular news personality in the United States.

I just watched the show where you gave the young girl in Las Vegas the car and money. It brought tears to my eyes. I think it is so great to be able to help people like you do. You are a very sweet, kind person.

Ellen, I LOVE your show, when I am able to watch it. My absolute favorite is the hawaian (sp) chair. I almost pissed my pants watching that.
I am writing to get into any of your contests!
I am a single mother to an 11 yr. old wonderful daughter. I am also self-employed. This has been an unbelievable bad 2 years for us. My work has diminished to almost nothing, because of the economy. We were hit pretty hard in Sept. 08 from Ike, and are still waiting (6 months) for our insurance to repair the inside of our home.
I am currently very behind on mortgage payments, and the IRS is breathing down my neck. I started documenting all of the "weird bad luck" in my life
last year.....it is pretty amazing I'm still alive. I was thinking of turning this into a book
and would like your opinion on a title. So far my two ideas are CIRCLING THE DRAIN or THE BIG FAT BLACK CLOUD THAT I CALL MY SHADOW. I can e-mail you these events, you'll get a laugh...and probably not believe this all happened to one person in such a short amount of time...but they are all true and I have witnesses.
Again I LOVE your show and you and Porsha look so wonderful together. You both just glowed on your show the other day. Congrats to you both!

Hi Ellen. My daughter and I watch your show as much as we can. You always bring us a laugh when things aren't going so well. We love hearing about your animals, the studio cat, and Portia.
