I love your show, but it looks to me like everyone that is in the audience is there for one reason only, to get free stuff. If it is only a CD of someone they have never heard of the go crazy. I don't understand people. I am thankful to God everyday for everything I have, my family, my husband and a great job. Maybe the world would be a better place if everyone was thankful instead of looking for a handout.
Hi Ellen! I am a huge fan of yours. I watch your show everyday here in the Philippines. I am sending you messages and I hope one day it reaches you. I am a single mother to a 14 and 11 yr old wonderful daughters. I, together with my girls really love you and your show so much! though we missed to see the early years of your show. We started watching end part of 2006. And since then on we see to it not to missed a single episode of your show.

I got laid off because of the present economic crisis. There are times I feel like giving up.. but I always thought of my girls. Also, you and your show uplift my spirit without you knowing it. Thank you very much for bringing joy to us. You are a very kind and sweet person. We know and we can feel that. We hope you, mama betty and Portia get to visit our country so that we can meet and see you in person.

I have to tell you that my one hour a day with you helps me greatly. I can't work anymore as I have neurofibromatosis. It is small or large tumors on nerve endings. Some days are really bad and your show takes my mind off. But I really loved when you couldn't get Chris Matthews after just talking about it, it was so funny.
But what I am calling to ask is if you can having your money blowing machine come to my house. My two daughters have lived on their own for about 4 years. Well one is coming home. Her school loan are breaking her as well as my husband and I. We have had to give her $400 a month for the last year. My Social Security disability is only $359.00. To make matter worse my husband who was also hurt at work and collects SSD only knows that I signed a $20,000 loan for her for school and actually I did it twice. So we have been giving her the little we want to save every month to go on a little Disney trip. Disney World is my my favorite place to go. So now in two weeks Diana is moving back, lock, stock and 2 cats. And did I mention I do love these cats but Oliver the 2 year old is like babysitting a 2 year old child.
Thank you for letting me let it out. You are such a sweet person and one of these days they will get that proposition 8 passed and that it didn't in November was so wrong. I know you and Portia will have a wonderful life together.

Love your show Ellen! Would love to come and be on the show but my finances won't allow it. I have lupus along with the other conditions that go with it and there are many! I live on a disability pension which is not very much ($700 a month). I live with my daugher and granddaughter and try to help them out. My daughter is 36 yrs old and had her breast removed because of cancer. She takes chemo and hormone drugs so I have to take her for treatments at the hospital which is a forty minute drive from home. They say they are 99% sure they got it all so I am hoping and praying they did as my granddaughter doesn't reeally understand the whole procedure, she is 8 yrs old. Anyway I can't afford to travel there to be on your show so will continue to watch it at home as it always make me laugh and brightens my day for awhile. I find it hard to cope with things these days and watching you makes things a bit lighter for me for awhile. Keep up the good work and thank you. Marlene

Dear Ellen, I watch your show everyday with my two sons. I recently watched the episode where you gave a lucky couple the honeymoon of their dreams. I hope someday to be married and be fortunate to go on a wonderful honeymoon!! My fiance and I both feel like we could be waiting a while for our dream wedding. My fiance is the only person currenlty employed. I am a stay at home mom, and am coming due for a vacation, ....Maybe you could help us and give us some pointers for saving up for our dream wedding and honeymoon!!!

Hi Ellen, I love you,and wacth your show everyday,along with 2 of my 7 grandkids brook is 12 & daniel is 8 . I live in savannah ga with my son he's a single dad ,(mom is worthless )
we both got laid off in jan, my car quit on us on or way too east tn for christmas to see my other son and his kids , ,...never did make it there ,, i hope you find me worthy of your giveaways , ... sure could use a car

Your nickname should be Ellen "The Generous" as you fill many of us with laughter and hope in these trying times - like giving Carol and her family a car today and some cash to fill in the economic gap they were experiencing. I have been reading the e-mails that people send you & it really is kinda depressing that most of them are talking about their problems and could you help them out. I really enjoy your show and you crack me up. Good Luck on the O magazine cover.
