I must go and lie down now, because I got them all!! I am so chuffed. Anyway, 2010 is going to be cracker. Not only will I be going to see the new film "Alice Wonderland". That film is going to be a blockbuster!! I will also be watching the World Cup in South Africa.

Ellen, I have always liked you. I know everyone has a sad story, so here is mine. My husband died at age 40 and left me and 2 small children without life insurance so we sold our home just enough to get out of the loan. We have moved 6 times since the death and have went a few days without food. I work at a high school but it isnt enough. It seems like the government doesnt want to help the ones that are trying. Because I work I cant get any help and I wasnt raised to live on welfare. My kids are older now and they have their own lives. We live in a 2 bedroom apt and I sleep in the dining room. Well, I just wanted to add my story. It never gets easier.

Love your show, would like to keep watching you but, cable will be shut off soon and internet can't afford them any longer. Here in Peoria,Il. "Caterpillar Capital" my life here is bleak . Recently was layed off from a job that tracked Caterpillar's engines over seas & waitressed on the side to try to make ends meet. Then they closed due to the economy.I'm on unemployment now which doesn't pay for my car payment(which i'll lose) rent and phone. My frig. went out i have been living out of a cooler, now can't afford the ice. Can't get any assistance from anyone!I never thought i would ever be in this kind of situtation,i raised my daughter while working 3 jobs, couldn't even get my grand daughter & my daughter a birthday card last week, how sad is that,I've never felt so useless, now i can't find one job. Can't believe i'm 49 yrs old & living this way & i won't even go into my health issues.sorry to ramble on guess i just needed to vent. Thanks you for making me laugh.tammie c.

hi Ellen, i had tears in my eyes when you gave that lady the car. but like denise said in her comment their are alot more people worse off than that lady in her nice home. i live in ann arbor on section 8 in a duplex on the bottom floor that makes me live half under ground. I saved up enough money to move but my allowance for rent is only 920.00 amonth. ann arbor has one of the top public school programs in the country. i have two kids in the special end programs for learning disabilities they have. although i can move antwhere in the u.s. i decided that my kids come first when it comes to their education. thats why we stay in this house. this house has black mold growing between floors, no insaltion, gravity takes hold whenever anything happens upstairs, most of the electical outlets dont work and when it's time to have my inspection the landlord puts up his bandaids. please understand i love you and your show, you make me laugh at the little things you do. keep doing what you do, your a great person. thank you for letting me tell my story.

Dear Ellen,
You probably will never read see this e-mail. I just finished watching the show, where you gave the car to the lady in Vegas.
I live just outside of Detroit, which you know has been hit hard by the economy. I work part-time at Wal-mart (part-time is all they offer) and my husband can not find a job. We are 4 months behind on our rent. We have nothing left at the end of the month.
My car is a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix, 23 years old. Not only does the air conditioning not work, neither does the heat. As you know, it gets quite cold here in Detroit. The drivers door does not open; the passenger door can only be opened from the inside. That means we have to leave the window open; 24/7, rain or shine; to be able to reach in and open the door. The wipers do not work on high, so if it rains hard you can't see to drive. The transmission slips badly, the gas guage is broke.
There are alot of people who stand and wait for the bus (in the cold and unbearable heat) who would be happy to have even my car.
Although that story was nice, I just felt you should know, there are alot of people who are in much worse need.

HI!!

1 - boy's necktie/bowtie
2- the laptop (?)on top of the stack behind Ellen is off-center
3- something hanging from Ellen's pocket (her left side) is longer in one picture than the other
4 - the toilet seat handle is up in the picture on the right and down in the left
5 - toilet seat cover on the left picture is attached to the actual seat.. looks like one big seat
6 - bottom part of the necktie in the picture ont he left with the bowtie is still showing
7 - int he picture on the left the boy with the darker blue button up shirt has his left heel raised vs. the picture on the right where his left foot is flatly on the ground.

This was super fun! Keep up the awesome work everyone! I seriously love coming home and watching the shows. Thank you all for it!

Big Hugs,

Hello Ellen Iam a 45 yr. old wife and new grandmother we are a family of five and I lost my job February 13, 2009. It's been really hard with all of the bills we have and mortgage, having creditors calling starting from 8am until 9pm. It has been tough for my husband who has to work two jobs to support the family. And my olderest daughter has also been working at Mac Donalds to help out. Put loosing my job and the income, has put a big toll on me and my husband's marriage. Life would be much better if we did not have creditors calling us. Please help us Ellen.
