Dear Ellen;
My name is De'Borah and I just wanted to share a story about my daughter. Her name is Britt'Nee and she is a special young woman. Now let me tell you about Britt'Nee, she was about to finish the eighth grade when my divorce began, but her world just came to a complete stop. There was an eighth grade graduation something they do here in Baltimore, upon being accepted to the high school of choice depending on your G.P.A. No problems there she was accepted to City College and I was proud of her. The fall of 2004 Britt'Nee went to school cute as a button. It must have been the third day of school she was wearing a purple and brown shirt and brown slacks. I waived goodbye and she was off. I stopped by the office as I had done the previous day building a rap ore and letting the staff know I was there for my daughter. I soon returned home and went on with my daily activities and then it happened the strangest knock I had heard in some time. It was Britt'Nee hey mom I have to use the bathroom. I was dumbfounded I just stepped back. When Britt'Nee returned from the restroom she simply told me that school is not for me.
I looked around and spoke with some folks and called city school officials yet I didn't have a problem with my teen being a problem to me or drinking or smoking or doing drugs or skipping she just wanted to be home with me. So they didn't help. I was in and out of court and constantly thinking I should just reconcile with their father. In my work at their school being a P.T.A. President I remembered there was home schooling but could I teach her what she needed. I purchased a program and the rest is history.
Britt'Nee maintain a 3.8 at home and two years ago I enrolled her in a Christian Program wear she continued to grow and soar. She was socially and mentally ready for anything. I spoke to her about completing her last year in a prestigious public school. We had two options. But my heart was set on one school in particular. Western High School! It was an all girl school with high standards for students, and it was next door to the school where her younger sister would be attending. While we were waiting for the other school to contact us I got an appointment with western. Once we meet with Mrs. Matthews it was an open and shut case. She was in. Wow we were so excited. Britt'Nee has continued her volunteer work tutoring children and helping with the S.P.C.A. when she can. She also assist me along with her sister with a Campaign here "The Campaign To Stop Underage Drinking and Smoking. It is now a few months before she graduates and we were told because could not take here HSA test until just last week. It likely she will not graduate with her class. She will not receive a Western Diploma because she didn't complete four years of foreign lanquage with Baltimore City, she will however receive a diploma from Baltimore City and were okay with that. She has been accepted to many schools, some offering Scholarships and some without. Her heart is set on Warren- Wilson. located in Asheville, N.C.. We have mailed the deposit but how do I tell her $5,000 and moms not so good credit may mean she wont' be able to attend. Please if there is enough money in your stimulus package after so many other deserving people please consider Britt'Nee. In closing Britt'Nee is ranked number 6 in her class and I am very proud of her.
De’Borah Horne
Bless you and your staff

Your wardrobe is awesome! Love the way you dress, and yes, do you pick what you wear? Seems like your "Look" has changed, and looking good, babe--?!
okay this may be a dumb question, but do you dress yourself? i mean, does someone choose your outfits for you for the show or do you get a limited selection and choose the final yourself? or do you do it all?
ellen, the people need to know. and by the people, i mean me. i need to know.
thanks! ♥
It's been two months(March 5th)since the California Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Proposition 8,the shameful and discriminatory, Ban on Same-Sex Marriage.Early next month, the court will make their decision.
Review of the Arguments:
1)Is Proposition 8 a constitutional revision?
2)Does Proposition 8 violate the constitutional separation of powers?
3)Validity of 18,000 same-sex marriages performed before the Nov.election.
The U.S.Constitution,guarantees:
"Equal protection under the law."
"We the People"means"All the People",for Fairness, Equality,Civil Rights and Human Rights.
What affects one State, affects "All" States. And,"We"will stand together.
Thank you,for your time.
Michele
