Hey Ellen,
We need tickets to your show. No, I REALLY mean it. I need you to send me four tickets to cheer us all up. No gold digger, just tickets. We lost our mom about 10 months ago to a long battle with Cardio Pulmonary Hypertension. I want to cheer my big sister up. Since our mom died, both of us have been layed off. I want to make my sister smile again. I think you can help. We have always enjoyed you for the last 20 years in various stand-up and T.V. shows. Please please please please please PLEASE please please PLEASE please please please please please please PLEASE please (wow that word looks weird if you type it alot) PLEASE please please please Ellen Ellen Ellen Ellen!!!!!!!! Do it do it do it!!! This is a subliminial message. Please please please please!!!! With a cherry on top, or your favorite ice cream topping. Nuts? Fudge? Whatever it takes, I'll put it on top. Thanks Ellen!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ellen... were do I begin? I am a big fan and love everything that you do for others. You are a angel sent from about... I have been watching your show since the beginning and always cry when I see you do something great for others. I always thought to myself, I should write to Ellen, I could use some help! I am a stay at home mom to 3 beautiful kids, my husband worked with his father and brother in a family business up until 6 months ago and now we are trying to make ends meet. Although we could use the "gold digger" machine right about now... I would much rather you send the "gold digger" to my husbands cousin.

She is a WONDERFUL woman... She would do anything for anyone and that is why I thought maybe I would try and do something nice for her. See, a year ago she lost her 3 and a half year old son. He started out with flu like symptoms and by the time we found out what was really wrong with him I think it was too late. To this day I'm not too clear on all of the details but I know that he died of Ecoli poison and TTP. Their health insurance paid for most of the bills but I know that they also had to pay quite a bit out of pocket. She works part-time as a relator, her husband works full-time but I think he may be losing his job soon, they have two older kids, and have been blessed with a new baby! However, the bills keep piling up for them and I would love it if you could send some good fortune their way. Although my husband and I could use the help, I think they could use the help more.

Anthing you could you do would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Ellen...

Please enroll me in gold digger I am cook at local middle school i have problems like everyone else and no one cares. I have two childern and work three jobs and need a break. So if you ever get to Flemingsburg Kentucky look me up on Mudsock road. Thanks for all the laughs after work I really appreciate them.

Hi Ellen. I am a Retired Teacher. I taught 22 years 16 years after I broke my neck. I also have had 7 back surgeries.Believe it or not I am still walking. I had been told after the broken neck I would never walk again. My wife and I have always bought clothes, bikes, food, school supplies, and other things children have needed through the years. Last year though I had to purchase copy paper and other supplies for my wife because the school system was cutting back. Now that I am Retired and not getting any raises this sort of hurt our budget. My wife still helps students but this made it where we couldn't do as much. I would like to see your Gold Digger Machine show up to her school and the money to be used by the Classroom Teachers only for needed supplies. We watch your show everyday. We copy it on our DVR and watch it when my wife gets home. Our local station didn't carry your show for a year. My wife had withdrawl and was so happy when we started getting you again.

Hi Ellen! We love your show, we watch it everyday! I live in Aurora, Colorado and I wanted to see if you could send Goldigger my way. I lost my job two months ago, and last week I finally found another one which I was so thankful for because we have not been able to pay our bills. But this morning as I was driving to my first day at my new job, my car died on the highway. I had it towed to a shop and was told its going to cost over $1000 to fix it. I also did not make it into work becuase that is our only car we have, and I was told they were going to have to offer the position to someone else. So now, I have no car, no job and no way to pay my bills. I have four children and I am so worried on how I am going to take care of them. Please Ellen, I need to play Goldigger!!

Thank You!

Ellen,

My husband was laid off at the end of April, so our health insurance went bye with his job. He just started a new job Monday making a lot less than he was making, and his insurance won't start until a month after he's worked there.

Saturday night, the unthinkable happened. My seventeen year old son had a seizure. We took him to the ER and he was admitted to the hospital. He was diagnosed with AVM, a condition in his brain he was born with, but we were unaware of it, and it has started growing. He needs emergency gamma ray surgery to prevent sudden death.

He's such a wonderfully talented person who feeds homeless kitties and who, when he was little, stopped opening his Christmas presents because he had seen a show about homeless kids, and he said he got too much and they got nothing. He's got a good heart.

I know you can't help everybody, but maybe you could direct us to some foundations that can. I'm afraid my husband's new insurance will deny coverage of this life threatening event because it was diagnosed before the insurance kicks in.

We live in Columbus, Ga. and the surgery will have to be done at Emery Hospital in Atlanta. It is such a rare condition that it's not even offered here in Columbus. I'm terrified but he's trying to act like he's not scared. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Thanks Ellen.

Dear Ellen,How are you? I myself am fine .Ellen I have been a fan every since that crazy haircut you had on Star Search.Well anyway, I moved to Atlanta ,Ga. in 2005 with my wife and two sons Deric and Williams ages 8 and 4years old.I am a Stay at home dad and have been now for 3years my wife, I love her dearly but the economy has really hit us hard.Taking care of my family everyday is tough when all of our finaces are going toward the bills.I want to do something special for my wife, but I know without any money I am not able. She feels more secure with me being home with the boys right now. We have not had a vacation since spring of 2004.Please send the gold digger here to Dallas,ga.So I can finally have some QUALITY TIME!! with my wife. And finally get a Babysister to care for my boys while my wife and I go out on an evenig for adults.Thank you! ellen, Eric lockwood.Dallas,Georgia

Hi, I'm 12 years old and my best friends family is going through a really hard time. Her name is Rachel and she has an younger brother and four dogs. One of her dogs just died of cancer. She has the same thing for lunch every day and her family is trying to save money so instead of paying for after school they walk a couple of miles home and her parents have stopped buying milk. Her parents are having a hard time paying the bills and she almost never gets new clothes for school even. Also every year at school we go to an overnight but I'm afraid she might not be able to go because of the cost. She could barley go last year. She's a great friend and I love her like a sister. I hope you can help her.

Hello Ellen
First of all I want to say thank you for giving me an hour of joy and laughter each and every day. Your show is great and I love watching it. I was wondering if you could possibly send gold digger to my house. Let me tell you my tail of woe.
2 years ago I lost my car in a flood because I did not get anything and have not been able to get another since. Right after the flood i lost my job and in March of this year I lost my apt and had to move home with my Mother. I was hoping that maybe you can send gold digger to my house so I can get enough money to purchase a car since I have not worked in 1 year.
Thank you Ellen for at least 1 hour a day I can laugh and just forget about all of my troubles and smile each and every day

Dear Ellen, my daughter & I are praying we will be one of the lucky ones chosen for your gold digger march. We are struggling with finances & health issues right now. My payments are 2 months behind due to multiple mechanical problems with my truck. I am disabled & need to be able to get back and forth to my doctors. This is a problem, however we have a bigger one. My main water drain is plugged up with tree roots from our apple tree. My bath tub won't drain unless I bail it out. My daughter refuses to take a shower in there. My washer backs up water all over the floor both wash & rinse cycles, which means I'm mopping it up every time I do laundry. With my arthritis I am sore & drained, unlike my washer. My basement also leaks & will not drain for a long time, causing moldy odors which I am very allergic to. The only way to fix it is to dig up the yard, cut the main pipe, auger it out then put a outside flow chamber. I am taking allegra d, singulair, flovent, nasonex, mucinex, advair, albuterol& benedryl just so I can breathe & help with my coughing. We know there are a lot of desperate people out there, I feel bad for all of us that are sooooooooo stuck. I pray you can help us before the winter months hit, where I will have to close all the windows, leaving not way to air the basement out. God Bless You! PLEASE HELP US !!!!!

Ellen,
First off, I love your show although I am male and often receive criticism from my friends for watching. I would love a chance at gold digger and your stimulus efforts as things have become difficult and struggling as I no longer have to worry about myself. I am a single father who recently received custody of my now two year old daughter as it is an ongoing, expensive, and lengthy legal battle to keep her from going back into a bad environment. There is not a sacrifice in the world I wouldn't make to ensure what is best for her although it seems with the status of the economy, the legal bills, and everyday bills (car payment, ect.), things seem to become more demanding and at times almost overwelming. It would be great to have some financial relief to ensure that I can give my daughter everything she needs to help with her future. I have always been the giving type even when in reality I did not have it to give to my friends and family in order to help them make it day by day and I will continue to do so but it seems to be a struggle for me as well. I need your help. Thank you so much.

Ellen, watching your show and loving and enjoying it is a given. I really respect your joy of entertaining and your giving nature. I've written several times before to explain my finacial situation and to ask for a really, really big favor. In past letters I explained my need for replacement of 31 year old pots and pans and other household items. I've also written about our 16 year old van that has over 200,000 miles on it and needs frequent repairs. But my real concern is for our cat Sandy that needs extensive dental surgery. Both my husband and I are retired and he does not get a pension. We do have Social Security but we use that for other essentials. Besides bad teeth, Sandy has a thyroid condition and a urinary problem. She takes medication twice daily for the thyroid and needs special foods for the urine tract and it has to be soft for her teeth. We really do not have the money to get her the surgery. I'm depending on your love of animals to help us out with this situation. Please Ellen, help us pay for the extraction of her bad teeth before she gives up eating because of the pain. I actually feel bad about asking for money for an animal when there are humans with much greater needs. However, she has brought us much joy and we don't want to see her suffer any longer.

Hi Ellen:

Please give my sister’s request (copied below) your highest priority. Dealing with my mother on a 24/7 basis is really reeking havoc on my personal health (which isn’t, and wasn’t, in the best shape to begin with - fibromyalgia, sciatica, arthritis of the spine, asthma)). My stress level races out of control on a daily basis. (I’ve moved from Prozac to Cymbalta 60 mg and some days that doesn’t even seem like enough.) Because my mom now is in the wandering stages of the alzheimers I am no longer able to take my sleeping pill at night so that makes for a restless night as well. Well, enough of my sob story. Just please give my sister’s request your best consideration. I know my request is very selfish but helping her will help me which in the long run will help my mother because my tolerance level will be back up to a level that I can cope better.

Hi Ellen: I am a big fan of yours and watch every chance I get. I would like to be considered for a part of your stimulus package, please. I am appealing to your passionate, caring, and giving side. I am faced with quite a dilemma at the time. I am on the verge of losing my job due to transportation problems. For the past 2 weeks my car has been parked on the parking lot at my job because I really don't have the money needed to get it fixed. If you could bring the Gold Digger here so I can try and get the cash out of it and have my car fixed I would really appreciate it. I am helping my daughter out a lot because her husband won't keep his child support payments up on a regular basis. My mother has Alzheimers and my sister depends on me to come there after I get off from work and give her a few hours break because she has to deal with my mom 24/7. Now I am not even able to get to her in the evenings unless I can get a ride with someone. Asking people for favors is literally like pulling teeth. They all claim they are going to do their part until they are needed, then they vanish. I know there are others who probably have worse case scenarios than mine but if you knew what my sister goes through with my mother on a daily basis I think you would really understand why giving her that little bit of relief each day is so important. I really hope to hear from you.

would be nice if the gold digger machine would visit CALHOUN, GA

Dear Ellen, I love watching your show and am touched by everything you do for other people, as well as animals. My daughter loves your show as well and records it when she can't be home. She
is a dental assistant and works 4 days a week, home on Fridays. She's 29 years old and in the next few weeks will be going in the hospital for
her 8th surgery in the past three years. She has
ulcerative colitus, so bad that three year ago they removed her colon and used her small intestine to build what they call a "J" pouch
(sorry if that is TMI). She had a colostomy bag
temporarily and after healing process, she had the
"take-down" got rid of the bag and was ready to go
on with her life. With 99% of all patients that
have this surgery, that's the end of it. They go
on with the lives and do just fine. Unfortunately
that has not been the case with my daughter. She
started having problems, one after another; fistulas developing; more surgery and has had the
bag put on and removed three times. Now she has
yet another fistula and is going to have surgery
again to put the bag on permanently. So unfair
for a beautiful 29 year old. Because of all the
surgeries, she has missed a lot of work and has
always gone back work each time. Now it seems that her employer is trying to force her to quit
her job, which would mean losing her insurance.
She married a year and a half ago, but due to all the medical bills, it has been very difficult for them to stay afloat. I have helped as much as I can, but I live on a fixed income and
can no longer help financially. I know there are many people who are struggling these days, and in
the overall picture, Tara's story may not measure
up to the many others you receive. However, I
thought I would at least make an effort. She does
not know I am writing you. But with your Gold Digger stimulus package, it would be a much needed
shot in the arm for her, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this letter.
Sincerely, Rita Mattocks
Willard, Missouri

dear ellen im surprized you would do the cover girl commercial ive been annoyed since it came out lol the fact that you would say beauty is important on the inside but not as important as the outside what i watch u all the time for your inner not outer how could u say that oh i forgot money i cant beleive no one else said that to you

Hi Ellen,

Both Mary and I work at Cedar Grove Elementary School in Panama City, Fl. Together we have been working at Cedar Grove Elem. School combined 50 years. The school was built in 1957 and the playground equipment has been here since I started working here 33 years ago.
Cedar Grove is a low poverty school. These students are very dear to both of us. The school is in need of playground equipment to accomodate the students during Phyical Education. The equipment would cost the school anywhere from 30 to 50 thousand dollars.
We love your show and have had an opportunity to watch you during the summer.
I would like to be on your Ellen's Gold Digger March Across America to help raise money for the playground equipment. If possible I would like to challange my co-worker in one of the Gold Digger Booths.

This could be most valuable way of getting the word out to the community and other sources that our school is in dire need of playground equipment.

We will even dance with you on your show. If you could make this happen it would show our students how much we care about them.

Very Serious and Sincere,
Diane Marshall and Mary Bright

Hi Ellen,

My daughter and I watch your show daily and you give us so much inspiration and good laughs along with some helpful tips. The reason I am writing you is because I know that you are sending the Gold Digger machine to different people and I was hoping that you might consider sending them to Bend Oregon. My daughter lost her job last October, two days after she found out that she was pregnant. She had tried diligently to find work up to her last few months of pregnancy knowing that once they saw that she was pregnant, that she wouldn't have a chance. She never gave up. Bend is one of the highest city in the state or Oregon for unemployment but that never did stop her from trying. She now has given birth to a healthy baby girl on July 2nd and her husband and her are really having a hard time keeping up. They might even have to move from their house as they can hardly keep up with the rent. She has taken on a cleaning job that she does one day a week just to try and help out as much as she can. She is a little depressed that she can't help contribute to keeping their household together but keeps her head up and stays as positive as she can. She is a wonderful caring person and deserves some help. I love her so much and want to help her as much as I can, but I can only do so much. I am hoping that you read this and might be able to help her out.
Thank you so much for all that you do for everyone, everywhere.
