Dear Ellen,

We have no income and we are barley making it. I am at the point of loosing everythig that I have. If there is any way that you could find it in your heart to possible help me I will greatly appercaite it. Thanks and God Bless

Dear Ellen,

I am 19 years old. Last November I was diagnosed with a severe form of the chronic illness Crohn's disease, an illness that we knew nothing of. Since this time, I have been hospitalized repeatedly for periods of up to a week at a time with severe pain and complications from this illness. My intention is not to complain as I know that everyone has their own trials in life, and this is mine.
Through everything my mother (who raised me as a single working parent) has been the one person who has always been there for me, as well as for many other people.
Because of the amount of time that she has spent with me for emergency room visits, hospitalizations, etc..., she recently lost her job. On top of that, our only vehicle recently died. I guess I'm writing to you because sadly, I see the hope that my mother has always tried to give to me in every difficult situation, leaving her.
I don't know if you will ever read this but, even if you don't come to our door, please know that we love you. You have a wonderful heart and what you do for people (and animals too) is really beautiful.

Ryan

Dear Ellen, Thank you so much for your show. You are the most polite comedian I have ever seen on tv. I love your show because you smile and you are so out there for animals. I watch everyday that I can. I am very interested in the stimulus show. My fiance and I are both in our sixties. We are currently living in our travel trailer. We just bought a used mobile home because we need more room. We have three dogs and two cats. We can't move in until we put in a septic system. We can't afford it yet. We are on fixed incomes and just don't make enough to pay outright for one. Well, that is my request. I do hope you will consider us for the stimulus package.

Thanks so much for making me laugh. You make me forget about my illness for that hour in the morning. I hope you can consider me for the stimulus package, I could really use it. I have to wonderful teenagers, which means I have nothing and the medical bills are a bite. I'm tired of the bill collectors calling me. They aren't very nice. I need to be stress free. Which means I need to Thank You again for allowing me to have a wonderful morning everyday. You have a very nice day. Thanks so Much!!!!!!

I live in a garage in the Az heat. Worked for 30 years consecutivley and have been unemployed for about a year. Can't find work yet, I seem to be over qualified for most jobs. I am a grandmother helping to rear my 5 grandsons. There are no programs out there to help a person like myself. I just wanted someone to know. I am healthy and able to work but no one is hiring a 55 year old. I do not watch your show, I am not a talk show kinda person I do not watch Oprah either. I do see your commericals, and red carpet apperances, and your wedding photos. Grandmothers what would the world do without grandmothers, we need help too. I would like to be part of your stimulis package, I need a hand up not a hand out. It is 106 inside this garage. Thank you

Dear Ellen,
First of all I love the way you dance! I am a 53 year old grandmother raising my 2 teenage granddaughters, both their parents are in prison. We are struggling just like everyone else in America is but I have several severe health issues that hamper me from taking care of my girls the way that they should be looked after. My heart is only functioning at a 32% level as I have Congestive Heart Failure, Coronary Artery Disease, Diabetes, and High Blood Pressure. Because of my illnesses I have to miss a lot of work the doctor's will not put me on disability until my heart is functioning at 30%. My girls are my life, I love them more than life itself and I hate to see them do without. They need clothes desperately. We are fixing to be evicted because we had a car accident and I have been unable to pay my rent, the county commissioners in my county are going to take me to court because I am unable to cut my grass I live on 2 acres in the country so the girls could have their dogs and cat. If we have to leave then I don't know what I will do with my animals. The dogs names are Dale and Little Man. The cat is Nellie. Dale is old and grumpy just like me and grunts a lot. He is half lab and half hound dog and is scared of his shadow. If I have to get rid of him no one will understand that he is terrified of water and lound noises. He was adopted from Petsmart and was 2 days from being put to sleep. He is a great dog just misunderstood. Little Man on the other hand is half chihuahua and half rat terrier. He is as neurotic as Dale is laid back. He sings Happy Birthday and Doggie in the Window. He can say I love you and he thinks he is Cujo. He tries to attack anyone who he sees. But he is a sweetheart and we love him so much. No one will adopt him or Dale if I have to get rid of them they are just to needy. The cat Nellie is still a kitten and she is adorable very very active. If anyone has every needed help Ellen, then it is us. I don't ever ask anyone for anything but for some reason I felt compelled to write you. I don't want to move my kids or loose my animals. We are loosing the furniture also and we had a wreck a couple of months ago and I was out of work again for 6 weeks. Please consider us for the stimulus package.

Love to you and Portia,
Jan, Nikki, Linzi, Little Man, Dale, and Nellie

Our fire alarm in our house was activated 2 days ago at 4:47 a.m EST., and without thinking about my health I was more concerned about my family 2 young kids 10 and 6! Well I ran down to the basement to check boiler room for smoke, now I have been running a temperature and have signs of internal tearing from hysterectomy surgery on the 16th! I am waiting it out to see if temp goes down, not into an expensive emergency room visit! Our outdated oven has set our detector off in the past and we aren't sure if that caused the false alarm! Anyway that electric oven really needs replacing,, asap. I am still bummed out over 4th hand me down tv..deserve to recover with a big flat screen tv to watch u dance on! I also need the dishwasher replaced and **Maytag front loading (on stands) blue or red washer/dryer set. I was thrilled that my friend alex wrote to you again to persuade you to rock my world with a tv and appliance makeover. I am in trouble still medically and if these things arent' replaced it is going to be a nightmare for my family if I am hospitalized again! I have offered to dance to any medley of music (even if it hurts!) to win you over and charm you into the tv and appliance giveaway mood! I am still anemic too and may need another transfusion. I have been staying home (not totally resting as kids need me in between resting breaks) I have to watch that small tv thru my dresser mirror reflection, it bytes so bad Ellen! I also wanted to tell you that I have premonition dreams, I have dreamt of how and when and why relatives and friends are going to die. I have predicted 13 out of 15 pregnancies (got my own daughter wrong..thought she was a boy cause she kicked the daylights outta me and fractured my ribs while pregnant. My first born didn't that is why I thought it was a S.o.b boy! he, he! Ellen I had a premonition dream last night that yu were driving one of your ellen tractor trailers with super mario apparel on ( my all time favorite video games!) Therefore if I dream't it...it will eventually come true.. I know it in my gut that yu are going to help me! Please come soon before & if I wind up back in the hospital. Or it is going to be a tough time on my husband and family with the failure of my tv and appliances! Oh p.s Tell portia she looked great on your bigger better longer show! Gotta luv that david blane and the lady you handcuffed to the bench, that was hysterical!!

Please contact me & early in the a.m or late in evening by phone is best.. You have my e-mail as well to contact me! I am beyond desperate now! OR YOU CAN MAKE MY DREAM I HAD COME TRUE AND SHOW UP AT MY HOUSE....PLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEASSSSSSSE ELLEN!

Hey Ellen I absolutely adore u! I was writing about the stimulus package for my family! I am a 22 year old mother of a beautiful 31 month old baby boy named Tanner. Me and his father have been together for the past 3 1/2 years through good and bad we've stuck together. Now we are struggling to keep a roof over our head. I was planning to start school this year and find it nearly impossible with Jon, my boyfriend, losing his job and neither one of us able to find one. If it wasn't for our loved ones helping we wouldn't be blessed to look at tomorrow! But with my mother in poor health from MS we are finding our selves in worse times and can't seem to get out of the whole! If u could please find it in ur heart to help us we would be ever so grateful. Lots of love xoxo Dreama Tanner and Jon

Ellen,

Hi Ellen,

I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do for so many people out there. My husband, who never watches daytime tv, has been watching your show every chance he can get. He is a truck driver who is gone 3-4 weeks at a time. it wouldn't be so bad, if we didn't have a wonderful foster baby at home with me and our first child coming in December. I feel he misses out on so much trying to support all of us. I just wish that somehow, someway i could thank him for being such a wonderful husband, and a great father. this man needs to be recognized for all that he has done. someway, somehow, i would love to show the world how wonderful he is. thank you

Hello Ellen,
My name is Alex Troge. I am writing to you today because back in may I entered the big stimulus contest for my college classmate Mrs. Valerie Kuehn. I once again will enter with a bit of details for the record. Mrs. Kuehn has to be one of the most loving mothers of two very young aged children, Holly 10 and Emily 6. Every monday night of class she would bring in her digital camera (now broken) to show off photographs and videos of her children from daily events. I have never met anyone who loves their children as much as she does, other than classwork, and her health issues that is all she talks about. Mrs. Kuehn's children as she said have learning disabilities and even though her health isn't what it aught to be.. she goes to great lengths to do things to bring them happiness. She was afraid that her upcoming surgery was going to claim her life and was totally frightened of what was going to happen to her husband and children with out her. Mrs. Kuehn has had a battle with anemia for a while and her physician said the surgery was a risk but with out it there was a 1 in 99 chance it would turn into cancer! I personally know her and her family, and know how ticked she is not to watch you on a flat screen television during her recovery. She had been requesting one for a few years now, however her 3 surgery's in a year have financially crushed her and the chances of saving for one. I wish I had the money for one to buy her but I am in college from 8 a.m til 5:30 and all my funds go towards my car and schooling. I give her credit for taking college to better herself so she can go for a job that makes better money. Thank the lord financial aid helped her get to our class. I also am aware of her failing dishwashing machine, Electronic Oven and Rotting Washer and dryer. She's not recovering well and I know she told me that to dance with you would be her lifelong dream, she isn't the type of personality to take something for nothing and told me she's going to rock you and Mrs. Portia's world with her dancing abilities.,(Believe it ellen she is fab at it!_. This is the most giving person I know, and when she was in the hospital recently a fellow roomate hadn't had visitors or flowers, so Mrs. Kuehn gave the nursing staff her last $4.15 to get a trinket of flowers from the gift shop from her to the young lady!! Mrs. kuehn is very depressed and that is not very good for her recovery. I would like to ask of you a big stimulus package for our friend we call TWEETY because she is funny and tweet's like a chickadee, bobwhite, etc. To end I would like to say this would be very noble and kind of you to grant her wish for someone who is great at making other people happy. Also for taking the most wonderful care of her family when she is and isn't feeling very well. Please lift her spirits and help her and her family Mrs. Ellen and Portia Degeneres. From Alex Troge

Dear Ellen and Portia, what a funny show with mr wong on your bigger, wider show! Loved getting to see Portia, she's great! Ellen I am so seriously depressed while recovering from June 16th surgery. I am up at 12:26 a.m. can't sleep hate the 4th hand me down tv as mine broke 3 years ago and we don't have the funds for a new one for me to be able to watch you dance while I am recovering in my room. My health has been bad, had a tumor from breast removed last year, and 2 more surgerys since which have prevented me from working f/t. I have $38.00 saved for medical bills charged to credit card, I'm $1 short but I am sure I can get it. I really need a new dishwasher (mine sounds like a leaf blower and keeps me up cause it's so loud. I need a new oven because my oven that came with the house is so old listen to this,, it is an upper and lower oven and the bottom oven is also a microwave! even though the whole bottom part except for the electic burners is the only part that works! It is a caloric and they don't even make parts for them anymore! the upper oven can only fit in one small cookie tray at a time or one cake pan or cupcake pan at a time. This is making our family's life more difficult during my recovery with 2 kids to keep up with which I can't! My washer and dryer are rotting out from the basement that floods, we live between 2 creeks, I need front loading blue or red matching washer/dryer set on stands since I can't bend down and am in for a long recovery., because now I am told I am severely anemic, I already had one blood transfusion in the hospital and it didn't work! I am on iron pills, and have to go for another blood test.. may wind up having an outpatient blood transfusion, they are worried about my bone marrow not being able to produce red blood cells. I am an extremely great dancer and if your dj put multiple songs on consecutively I can naturally dance to anything he throws my way, I would knock your socks ellen with the way I dance! I have actually won dance contests! Let me dance for you to win a big flat screen tv, dishwasher washer and dryer set. I am begging you and your wonderful wife Portia to help make my recovery better and my family and I life easier during this time! Please I beg of you Ellen HEAR ME BEG AND PLEAD FOR THINGS I DESPERATELY NEED! I AM SO DEPRESSED LATELY AND NEED A DOSE OF ELLEN ! I HOPE AND PRAY TO GOD THAT YOU WILL HEAR MY PLEA AND HELP ME AND MY FAMILY, CAUSE AS OF NOW OUR SUMMER IS RUINED DUE TO MY HEALTH AND POOR FINANCES! THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION ELLEN AND PORTIA... VALERIE KUEHN AKA SHORTIE!!

Hiya LN (Ellen)!

If you really read these stories and happen to read mine..please let me know. Just knowing you read it will make my YEAR! So my name is Phyliss, I'm from Alabama currently residing in Las Vegas. One of my New Year's Resolution was to get to your show this year but it doesn't look like I'll make it due to financial circumstances at the moment. I don't know how you choose to bless people with the stimulus package but I just had to say I scream and cry just as much as they do everytime I watch u change someone's life. I too have financial hardships right now as well as emotional stress but the reason I'm writing is I would LOVE to get to a taping of your show.
I know you're swamped with many of the same request so if I don't hear from you i will truly understand..Well c ya 2morrow at 3pm...
All the patients get excited when it's "Time 4 Ellen". Thanks for reading!

With Much Luv!
Phyliss

Hey Ellen,
I think it is so great that you are doing this stimulus giveaway in such uncertain times. I worked two jobs (one full time and one part time) up until this month (June 09) when I lost both due to “workforce reductions.” I should be worried since I purchased my first home in Oct 08 and then spent an additional $10k on new windows, doors, insulation etc (it is a old house) and am now having car problems…but through it all I try to stay positive and you help by making me laugh each day and for making me want to dance! Laughter and dancing really are therapeutic. Hopefully one day I will get over to your area and get to see a taping of your show. Keep laughing and dancing because it is really appreciated.

Thanks for all you do!

Hi Ellen this is for my Mom she has had such a hard life. As a child she worked long days in the fields and gave every penny to my Grandpa she dropped out of school in 6th grade and continued to work she ended up pregnant with my sister at 18 had to get married to a abusive man then had me she finally divorced him after yrs of abuse. She had my little sis at 30. She raised us the best she knew how she worked long hrs to put food on the table sometimes not much. she went through 2 more failed marriages I think all she wanted was a man to love her and us. She is 50 yrs old now and struggling she just got let go from her job and is starting to go to school to become a medical assistant. I believe in her because I know she is a strong women but like I said she dropped out of school in 6th grade and she dont know how to spell, read, and type the best she stays hrs after school with the teacher just to learn how to spell correctly. There is so much to say not enough space but I believe she deserves this she has never had anything handed to her and I would love for her to have a awesome moment that she will remember always.

Ellen
I was going to write you and ask for help not for me for my 19 year old son, but after reading some of the other stories I have to have faith that god will provide an answer to his problems they seem so meaningless compared to the others...I just wish I was able to help him and cant at this time he is a great young man I love him like crazy so I have to be happy that we have that. He wouldn't have any luck if it weren't bad luck thats for sure. Step dad hit him(DRUNK,2nd time) so he moved out got a place with his friend his motor blew in his car so now he will not have a ride to work so he will loose his job and place which will also hurt his friend because the friend cant make the rent on his own.Biological dad owes him $1800.00 back child support but wont answer his calls now...the $1800.00 would at least get him a car and be the answer to most of his problems.I tell him all the time god gives you what you can take.My ring tone for him is Miley Cirrus's song The climb....Your show is great I have always been a fan you make me laugh my husband laughs at me cause I usually smile through your whole show. You do your job great!(like you need me to tell you that lol).
