Dear Ellen

I have never been this open and caring before, but I just wanted to take this time out of my day to first say thank-you for all your love and kindnees that your spirit has surrounded us with. I have a very dear, sweet friend who is going thru a rough time and would like to nominate her for the stimulus pkg. Her name is kimona, she lives in Los angeles and has lost everything due to her breast cancer tx's. She lost her car, job, and apt. because the chemo txs are so expensive. I have never meet a more kind, strong, positive person. She is an RN by trade and my heart goes out to her,if you were to meet her you would love her to! If their is anything you can do for her it would be great for her moral. I know you get numerous requests on a daily basis and I am humbling myself in hopes you will get this request. Thank you for your time. I love you Ellen, take care!

Thanks for all your comedy and laughter. It has helped me alot these past 3 yrs. My (ex) husband has a cancerous brain tumor and since his surgery, he has turned increasingly violent to my now 8 yr old daughter, my mother, and brother-in-law. His parents have money so they hired a top-notch attorney and has won our house, my van, my dining room table and almost got custody of our 2 girls. He got out of paying any spousal support and pays the minimal in child support. I am trying to find a job as he never wanted to take care of the girls so I could work nights so I have not worked in 9 yrs. The house we live in is incredibly small, older than dirt windows, and the car I was left with is 11 yrs old and creeks like an old lady. I know there are alot of people out there who need help, I am just a pion in a long list. I just want my girls to have the life they deserve and be able to rise above what we all have been thru. My oldest has been in counseling for over 2 yrs and is still having nightmares.
Thanks for reading this and if there is any help out there, I would be GREATLY Appreciative!!!!!!!!!!! Keep us laughing!
Amy

I'm writing for a friend. She has just received her 30 da. notice of foreclosure on their home.
Because of her job loss and her husbands business loss combined with the economy they fell behind.
She has been clean and sober for a year and still remains positive that they will recover.
They have done everything right....
Just victims of unforeseen circumstances.
Thanks..

Hi Ellen. I was laid off in late August as a senior commercial real estate paralegal, due to lack of work in the real estate industry, I was challenged recently with having twelve (yes twelve) feral kittens dropped on my front porch. I could not take them to the local shelter because they would have been put down, so I cared for them with love and medical attention and found homes for all of them except one little black male kitten. He had some medical issues, but is fine now. Thank you to all those animal lovers out there.

To the woman of my daily 11:00 hour, (and to all who help the show function).
I am (for a change) putting my "issues" aside & would like to share with you all a story about my wonderful ex-mother-in-law (Connie Foster). She has been apart of an organiztion (her & 2 other women started) called Southwest Missouri K-9, she takes in unwanted or abandoned dogs & finds them proper homes. She has even traveled to other states for placements. She has had an extremely high # of dogs in her house @ one time that they had to put ALL hardwood floors in upstairs, turned her house into a mess. The good news is she now has a building that she is leasing to house these wonderful animals until she finds placement. The name is Canines & cats (she has accumulated a few felines along the way so she had to branch out). Anyway, the shelter is non-for-profit & is struggling w/ expenses in the form of food, dr bills for some of the pets, etc. She works there everyday for several hours. She has only a couple of paid staff but relies solely on volunteers to help clean, excercise, & general care of the dogs. My son (Kyle,12) even goes on the weekends he's w his dad to help & occaisionally I take him when his sister is @ gym practice.
She has no idea I'm submitting this, but any help whether it be a request to the public for donations or if anyone would like to adopt (there is a process), it would be greatly appreciated. You rock!!! So does your staff!
Off the subject, your interview w/ L Lohan today was so sweet w/ your motherly tone of questions,& suggestions. My kids also think your great (ages 12,9,4), they love watching the games the most. I appreciate this time, Jamie

SO PLEASE HELP ME DO SOMETHING NICE FOR THESE GREAT KIDS OF MINE:) THANK YOU SO MUCH!! HOLLY-GABRIELLE AND SHANE

Please, please, please sign my parents up for your Big Stimulus Package!! They've worked SO hard all their lives and are now living on a limited income with my sister and her four boys living in their downstairs apartment. For the most part, they are down to their last pennies. Mom keeps saying they have no money to do anything anymore and all of us kids, or at least the ones who live in the States (one lives in Ireland with his wife and nine kids), have told them over and over again to stop with the cards and money and gift cards on holidays and birthdays. They have us 6 kids, all grown, and 24 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. They give and give and have nothing left to give. They are both getting older, Mom is almost 73 and Dad just turned 78, but Dad refuses to take it easy. He still goes out and helps my brother do welding jobs. I know he feels like he's sitting around all the time, but believe me, he isn't. He had a health scare last summer and when the heat was 95+, he still went out and did these welding jobs on his own. When we told him he should be home resting so he'd get better, he said he thought we'd think he was lazy if he took a nap. Hell, I'd take a nap in the middle of the day if I could and I'm only 48. He figured he'd sweat whatever it was that was wrong with him out. I guess it worked because the following week, he was feeling a bit better. They need lots of work done on their house and were going to apply for the reverse mortgage that so many talk about, but found out it wasn't such a good deal after all. They can't afford to put the money into their house to fix what needs to be fixed. Their deck is dangerous and the boards are all getting weaker. The front of the house needs stucco work completed that the worker who started it said he'd finish last year, but has never come back. They need new doors and some new windows. If I were them, I'd sell their house and buy a townhouse so they wouldn't have so much upkeep. The older they get, the harder things get for them to do in the winter. They need a new vehicle worse than anything. The one they have keeps having problems with it and is getting old and rusty, but that is another expense they said they can't afford. I know they'd also love to get over to Ireland to see my brother and his family before they get too old. I know if they got something from your Big Stimulus Package, it would help them out so much and they'd be forever in your debt. People should NOT have to work when they are their age. Maybe you could persuade Mrs. Obama the next time shes on the show to help out the senior citizens who have worked their butts off their entire lives and end up with nothing. I keep hoping I win the lottery so I could help them out. I know this whole thing sounds pathetic, but, unfortunately, its true. Thanks Ellen!! Love your show, keep all your episodes on my DVR. Thanks for making everyone smile all the time. You really are a blessing to us all!! God Bless!!!

Dear Ellen,

I don't know if this is the correct place to send a nomination for your stimulus package, but if it is not, I would certainly appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.

A very dear co-worker/friend and her husband lost everything they owned in a house fire in Cayce, SC on July 1, 2009. All of us here at work are collecting donations in order to provide them with Wal-Mart gift cards. I would truly like to nominate Lynda and Jack Pruett for assistance through your stimulus package. Lyndia retired, for the 2nd time, several years ago, but has since gone back to work 2 days a week. She cares for Jack who has very serious pulmonary problems and is on oxygen 24/7. These are two of the most wonderful people you have ever met and would certainly be willing to give you the shirt off their backs. They have not had an easy life for many years and have certainly worked very hard for what they did have. Although they lost EVERYTHING in the fire they were able to rescue their pets. All of us here at work are doing our best to help them out as much as we can but I think this is bigger than any of us can imagine and times are tough for everyone. This family is in desperate need and I urge you to consider them for your stimulus package giveaway.

You are the BEST Ellen and you do make people laugh and forget their horrible situations if only for a day. I love your show and tape it everyday so that I can watch it in the evening or very early the next morning. You are a terrific individual and love you for all you do for others. God Bless you Ellen.

Love always,

Like I have begged before please shock this long islander soon?! In highest of hopes for an ELLEN STIMULUS PACKAGE, VALERIE KUEHN

Dear Ellen,
Just like RUN DMC I won't stop beggin til I retire! I desperately need to win your stimulus package. I am hoping my heartfelt plea reaches you! I am not doing so good recovery wise from hysterectomy..Our fire alarm went off at 4:47 a.m. and I wasn't thinking and ran to the basement stitches and all! I swear I never even felt my feet touch one step (I THINK I FLEW DOWNSTAIRS TO CHECK FOR A FIRE!) The doctor said he think's I tore something from symptoms I described and said to go to emergency room. However, I am already in debt $1,975 from last years tumor removal surgery and addition uterus growth surgery! I am now starting to get medical bills from recent emergency surgery.. good news though they didn't find anymore cancer! I still beg for a big flat screen tv, new diswasher& electric oven & a front loading (ON STANDS) maytag washer/dryer set. These appliances have either failed or on their way out! It isn't just for the heck of it, lower oven broke,,dishwasher sounds like a leaf blower I AM ON MY 3TH HAND ME DOWN TV!!! BEEN ASKING FOR ONE FOR 3 YEARS, BUT WE ARE BOTH UNEMPLOYED AND JUST MAKIN THE MORTGAGE PAYMENTS! and the frequent flooding in basement is causing washer/dryer set to rot & rust! I have to remind you Ellen and Portia how I am a natural dancer who could dance to any type of medley of music your dj throws my way..FROM SALT-N-PEPA TO RUN-DMC TO DURAN DURAN TO TOM PETTY, RUSH ..PINK MADONNA MICHAEL JACKSONS DANCIN MACHINE

hello ellen ! congratulations in your show i love to watch it every day you make me laugh and make me forget the problems for an hour.and ithink that happen to alot people not just me and its good. god bless u ellen.

Hello Ellen! My name is Tara and I am writing you today for my mother. We are both big fans of your show and think that you are great role model. My mom (Brenda Darnell) is in a pending divorce with my step-father. She is living in a womens violence shelter in Oklahoma and is having a hard time, partly due to the fact that her husband would not let her work so she has no savings. She is 47 and all her previous work experience is working construction which is not likely to hire a middle aged woman. If there is anything you can do for her it would be greatly appreciated. I believe that even a phone call or letter would get her spirits up and keep her going. Thank you for your time and WE LOVE YOU!

I am writing because one of my Aunts asked me to do this for her. She is concerned about her youngest sister. The youngest sister is about to lose her home. She works hard and has raised two children pretty much by herself. She has worked two jobs to get her children grown and through school. Both of her children have managed to graduate high school and start lives of their own. Now she is struggling to make ends meet. It would be a shame for her to lose the house since she has been paying for it for so long. It would mean the world to my Aunt if you could help her sister. She would help her sister if she were not struggling herself. Thank you for any assistance you might could provide.

Ellen,
I must tell you that I enjoy watching your show and all the good things you do with your fame and fortune. I think that is all we all hope for is that those that make it big, I mean really big, utilize it in a positive way whether to better their lives and their families lives or help others with it. It's my dream to be able to some day give help to other's in grave need. Right now though, that is myself and my husband. We gave up our jobs of 16 and 20 yrs. and our home of 23 yrs and built a new home with 2 suites where I am starting a Bed and Breakfast business. My husband found a job in the small town we moved to, we built, moved and opened for business last Oct. Dec 31st 2008 my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to his liver. ALOT. He just had 12 rounds of chemo but there are still tumors. We are going to the Mayo clinic soon to get a 3rd opinion on whether anything more can be done. Our place is beautiful and I really love it and love hosting the guests that come here. I don't want to lose this while he is trying to get better. If you could please do a shout out about Mystic Views in Brainerd MN I would so appreciate the free marketing. I need business to calm his fears of me keeping this, to keep me busy and so that I can relax people in need by hosting their stay. I would really appreciate any advertising possible. www.mysticviews.com

Dear Ellen: Thank you for bringing so much laughter to me. I love your show and support you and Portia and your love for each other. My son was recently (Aug 08) married to a wonderful young lady. They are parents to a 3 year old Lab (Madison) and two cats (Lola and Otis) that they adopted from a shelter shortly after their marriage. The kids have had three extremely traumatic experiences since their wedding. In addition, two weeks ago their house burned down and is a total loss. All the animals were in the house along with a relatives bulldog (Bella). All animals were rescued and taken to the hospital. Although the kids need a world of help right now, I thought maybe you could introduce us to your pet food line. Even a months worth of food for the animals would be appreciated.

ellen,
my son & i love everything about you, the way you love all your critters am just as bad. i did lose my farm as i took a bad dump from my horse. now i am disable after my 14 th surgery. it sux, but then at 3 you come on making my day. i thank GOD for people like you that r so in touch with your self and helping others..Thank you, for being you..

hugs patty walker

Ellen,
I just want to say I think what you are doing is great! Every day I wait for three o'clock to roll around so I can watch your show. The look on the faces of every person you have helped makes me feel good every time. I cannot imagine the happiness you have brought to so many people. You give so many people, like myself, not only laughter but hope as well. You give me hope and confidence that there are good people and things can turn around. I am a college student and will be graduating soon with a degree in education, unfourtanitly that degree cost my husband and I over 90,000 dollars in students loans. These loans have reached into many other financial problems as well. Its funny how people in the financial aid buisness decide who needs assistance and who dosent. But anyway, you remind me to keep on truckin' and to always remember to laugh. Thank you for reminding me of this everyday thats a gift that never ends.

Ellen,
As i read through the emails i felt guilty even leaving a comment . There are so many people in need right now and unfortunately i am one of them. I am a very young mother of two young boys 6 months and 4 yrs old. My 6 month old spent alot of time in the intensive care unti when he was born... alot of complications, which are not taken care of fully an dstill continue to cost. Our truck was repoed because we couldnt pay it. A lot of bills arent getting paid. We have NO income and of course its a daily battle with the goverment for help. My electric and water get shut off monthly. When it rains it pours, my old house is falling apart. I've had yard sales and pawned anything of value and now im left to begging for help. I never wanted to have to ask anyone for help but by god if it werent for my boys id just live in a box. I need help bad and fast...im not saying i am any more deserving than anyone else on this page but if anything my story will let other people know they are not alone. thank you eleen for letting me laugh and dance daily even though i may have problems that brings a smile to my face even if for a moment
