Hi Ellen

Im not to handy on the whole computer scene but I love your show and think you are a kind hearted girl .I have a story that tares my heart out and would like to share it with you in hopes you could help a sweet trusting girl from Colombia Who came to U.S. to marry what she thought was a good honest man but this is not how it ended for her. Her 6year marriage was based on lies and broken promises. Her husband passed away leaving her here in our country alone and no money and also did not complete her citizenship. The damage he created is irreversable. She just wants to go home to her family in Colombia. Her mother is ill and very old. IF YOU COULD HELP HER GET A TICKET HOME IT WOULD MEAN THE WORLD TO HER AND MYSELF . She needs this before may 20th 2009 If I had anyway to help her myself I would my income is 550 a month from a trailer i rent out. I am not able to work due to my health. I have been praying for a year but came up with nothing to assist her in a safe trip to return to her home and family. Please find it in your heart to help. Thank you very much just for being you and bless you. . we live in a poor community very small town.she came for a american dream but it has been a nightmare for her. please help get her home. Her story is complicated and sad I could explain in further detail if you would like to here . but her time is limited. please Ellen give this some thought if at possible, I have know other hope except you. maybe she could play gold digger or something It would be so nice just to see her smile instead of crying as she leaves the U.S.A Thank you again

Dear, Ellen! Love your show, love your DJ and Love you dancing, I am a dancing queen my self, just start music and I do not care what time it is... Time to dance! Love watching your show when I can, it always bring smile, I smile when nobody can see me, not outside. Going GREEN is a very big part of my life, because I was raised Green. I grew up in Europe and it mattered all the time. We learn since we were kids how not to waste anything - food, heat, water, trees and everything else. That was a "daily bread" for us. I never had a problem being adult and respect nature. I think it is a wrong way to teach some how to be Green by putting taxes on it, you will never learn it this way, because you will just get angry, that you have to pay for all good staff more and more. It has to come from your heart, your self. your own education and practice. You have to learn how to use less of everything... I feel very sad when they talking about how much Americans waste and put me in same category, I am not like that and I been telling this to who ever I know for 22 years, I do not waste, very little, things I can not avoid or cannot find answers. You can watch me if you want, you can come and see how I live. I do not have even a car, I wash in cold water, I take my shoes when I go in, I reuse, recycle, but not reproduce. I exchange, give away, by from someone, give to someone - paper, clothes, books, music, etc. It is everyones duty, but you have to learn on your own and stop being lazy. Everyone wake up! This is your Home, this is your country, this is your WORLD! Sincerely Mila Namaste. Peace and Love. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my concerns.

I feel that going green is very important so I have replaced many of my light bulbs in my house with the new "green" light bulbs that you were talking about on your show. However, after I started replacing them I found out that they are filled with MERCURY which is an incredibly toxic material;toxic for people and the environment. These light bulbs could bring harm to my children and to myself if they end up broken in my home and if they are not disposed of properly they can add to our problems of toxic water and land.

My question is? How can these be a good thing? How can the dangers and toxic effects be less valuable than the electricity that the old bulbs used? Am I missing something? How can companies be creating these incredibly harmful items and promote them as a good thing? Most people who do buy them probably are completely unaware of how harmful they are which only makes them more harmful. Can you help to justify this? I must be missing something. Please help.

Dear Ellen, I know you have SO many deserving contestants for this prize, but I sure hope you'll consider my entry too! I had a medical procedure on my heart about 2 years ago. Since I don't have insurance I had to pay for all the cost myself. I have since accumulated about $20,000 in medical bills, most of which I've had to put on a credit card. I hated to do that but it was the only way. Just to get into the hospital cost $10,000! I am trying to pay off the cards but it is a long slow process and the interest keeps accumulating. I really could use the extra money to help me pay off my debts.
My husband and I are both self-employed and insurance is just too expensive. I have pre-existing conditions which prohibits most companies from even covering me! Well thanks for reading this and I sure do enjoy your show! Thanks for all the laughs and the giving!

Hi Ellen. It's me again. I could spend time writing and asking you for many things that I really need. However I would like to talk to you about the recent losses our county of Okaloosa, Florida have had. We have lost 3 of our deputies and 2 of our judges in less than 1 year. All 3 deputies died in the line of duty. 1 was attempting to catch an escaped Baker Act patient that escaped from our local hospital and he was shot by that person. The other 2 deputies were killed trying to catch a domestic violence suspect and even though they were wearing bullet proof vests, they too were killed. That was just about a week ago. One of our Judges died and the other committed suicide. Can you help their families? All of the information you need will be in the NW Florida Daily news. I live in Mary Esther Fl. and would really appreciate any aid you could give to these families as well as the Okaloosa Sheriffs Department. These were fine Men who gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe. One officer had 5 children and the other 2 had children as well. Please help them if you can. Thank you for your time and thoughtfulness. You are one of a kind. With great respect. Madge Foster

I LOVE YOUR SHOW I WOULD LOVE TO WIN SOMETHING.I LIKE THE GAME MUSICAL CHAIRS. YOU ARE THE FUNNY ONE.BACK AT CHA

Hi Ellen,
Love your show. It always puts a smile on my face. Me and my family(husband and two teenage boys) have been struggling. My boys had to move from their hometown and their friends, across country from Arizona to Panama City Beach, Fl.They gave up every possession they had, and now share a bed with our 80 lb dog. Us, like so many others, lost everything we had. My husband and I were successfull business owners when the market crashed. We've lost our home, our car, everything we had worked so hard for for over 14 years. Now we are living in a very small place, thanks to the generosity of my sister-in-law, or we would be homeless. I once a successfull real estate agent, am now waiting tables, and my husband was a successful contractor, is now in and out of work(mostly out) for over 11 months now. We will be in our new town a year on May 1st. HELP!
Congratulations on your 1000th show.
love the borges family
