Next Story: What's Ellen Doing 30 Seconds Before the Show?
Greetings from the 'Great White North' (just, kidding from Vancouver, BC.
Ellen I want to thank you for sharing your postive energy and for making a difference in so many lives.
I see that you are bombarded with pleas for help and I also have a plea.
My plea is a vision that I have as a single-parent, I have decided to ask people of influence for help to start a community-living project that has a unique twist.
As a single-parent, my biggest struggle is having enough energy to do it all by myself. I would like to form a co-operative that includes the sharing of resources, responsibilities: meals, maintenance, child care, education etc.
This unique home would be built as independent living units, but include a communal kitchen, daycare, pre school, school-age child care, home schooling program etc.
I would like to incorporate concepts that encourage resource sharing and co-operation.
I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child.
I am hoping and praying that this reaches you and that hopefully, you can help link me to those who can help make this vision a reality.
I don't know why, Canada seems to be deficient in individuals who can make Dreams come true.
Thank you again for making a difference.
From my family we love you!

Ellen, you are the best.
Because of you I can make it through the day.
I am now a stay at home mom after working 25 years in the fashion industry. I quit work to take care of my son who is 15. He has a rare brain disorder and has had 5 surgeries in the last 6 years. One of the surgeries the doctor screwed up and it caused him to have a staff infection and ecoli. But, watching your show every day got me through some really tough times.
Thank you Ellen, you make my son and I laugh, and we need that.
Love you,
Sally

Tried to become a fan of show today but live in Canada and would not let me. Thanks for your hour of fun every morning
Hi Ellen, My name is Sherri and I want to be ur co-host. U should have some kinda contest on who could be ur co-host. Not really sayn u need one but I know it would be a great pleasure to work beside u and plus it would give u time to do the things u want to do. I love to watch ur show everyday and even when Im down u make me laugh. Ellen all in all u ROCK!!
We were in New York on 1/24 and Old Navy said your camera crew would be there and asked my grandaughter to dance. We went back around 2 and she and my daughter danced and were told it would be on your show on Monday. We've looked every day, but no dancing and no mention of it! What's up?
Dear Ellen & Team,
I’ve sent a few emails recently about a few ideas I had and now I’ve had another thought (I do alot of thinking incase you hadn't guessed already). I’ve heard u say a few times on air that u don’t have a co-host or that a co-host would be handy every now and again, so I can be ur co-host to be in places where u can’t be, but need to be for the show. Im guessin at this point ur thinking what a good idea, but does this girl have experience? Well no I don’t, but Im a fast learner and quite the tell it like it is kinda person. Come on give me a go or even a trial.
Take care,

Dear Ellen & Team,
I recently emailed u to see if u had any jobs available, I currently work for an International Freight Forwarder in Sydney, Australia and Im looking to move to Los Angeles and into the Media/Entertainment industry and ur show would suit me and vice versa. I then started to think that if you do not have anything available maybe you could help me look for a job in LA and follow my journey creating a new segment on the show or better yet u could employ me and I could help other Ellen viewers who are unhappy in their current employment, get jobs and follow their Journey. Lets face it, we spend 80percent of our time at work and if we're not happy the days are so much longer, slower and more depressing than ever. All in all both are great suggestions on my part and will appeal to all viewers.
Ok so now that I’ve talked myself up, I’ll leave it at that and hope to hear from u soon and if not thanks for your time anyway.
Take care,
Brooke Johnson

P.S FYI If you pass on the idea u don’t know what ur missin out on
u think i'm kind of same with how the 'spirit' were right........ but i am totally nicer.....
i think be 'humble' is important......
i don't have much talent really..... look like you know more about music then i do..... i only like to listen......
i guess i'm only good at be 'valentine'. that's the only thing cant think of anything else.....
and a bit over sensitive u know......
but why you thought i was trying to show off being 'tough'...... so you are not that sure about that i am always 'humble'..... do you really think i might not be a truely nice person.........
sometimes i do sounds like 'military', i felt so funny about that myself...... it's only for fun u know.....
yeah that does gets me...... but i wasnt trying to play tough or anything.....
cause depend on myself is very important to me.
so i thought should be good for you too.
i think especially females, more need to think more of depending on self. dont you think that's right as well........
G'day Ellen,
I am on holidays at the moment down here in Australia and I have been watching your show, I was watching opera but then I saw your show and I relised that your show is much much better.
A couple of shows ago or I think it was on your birthday but any way, I found out that you were lesbian because you got a message or a birthday wish from your wife. I was shocked because I have been watching your show for a while. I didn't even know that you were un till then. I have a question for you and that is, Was it hard for you when you came out of the closet? I am asking you this because I have a problem and I don't know how to do it or I am scard to do so too and how people like my family or even my friends are going to take it.
I was just wondering how and what was it like for you?
I hope this gets to you, I think you are so espiering to listen to.
