It sounds cheesy I know but - doggone it, I just think the world of you.

A little info about me - I've been a special education teacher for the past 7 years & I so enjoy working with this population & giving them as many advantages as I can. It's soo amazing to work with & help these kids & their families I can't even begin to explain it.

It would be an honor to come see you during the holiday break while I'm on vacation! I hope you will consider me when you are giving out tickets.

Happy Holidays & Best Wishes,
Mykie Evans

Hey there you dancin',witty, funny, make my day lady! Ellen,is there something very special to you that you think of before you go to sleep at night and when you wake each mornin'? Well, whatever it may be I sincerely hope it comes true for you. I have something I think of and hope it comes true for myself and husband of 30yrs. I would need a little help from you for this to happen. Honest Ellen, it's at the top of my "kick the bucket list",it goes somethin' like this: I am 51,same as you,my three wonderful children are grown, ages 32,26 and the baby is 23. If my wish,by the way, is to come to your show, meet you and the angel on top of the tree

Dear Ellen, Thank you so much for bringing laughter, dancing & fun into our lives daily! You are an amazingly talented lady with class, integrity, care & concern for others & true humility! That's why my husband & I adore you! My husband & I have been married 26 years. For 20 of those I have been extremely ill, with having had 25 major surgeries & too many minor to mention. I have been at death's door also many times, at home on IV's & feeding tubes, down to 70 pounds, & unable to care for myself or our 3 small children! My husband did it all! He never missed any of the kids activities: coaching their football, baseball, & soccer games. Going & watching my daughter dance & being crowned prom queen. All of their teachers knew him well & adored him! All 3 kids were in the gifted & talented program at school. He was also active in church, playing the piano & organ on Sundays. My youngest son Carl even got his Eagle Scout. Both boys went on a two year Spanish speaking mission for our church before entering college. Our daughter graduated last April from college & our oldest son will graduate next April, & our youngest is a Sophomore. My husband has always put family first & never complains! I had my pancreas removed in 1998 & am a very brittle diabetic, he has saved my life on several occasions. He even agreed to go to Albuquerque, NM 2 years ago to bring an elderly friend of our's who had broken her hip and had alzheimers back here to our home to live & care for. He would take her daily to the store in the wheelchair shopping, just so she could get out! He would take her to all of her doctor's appts, sit on the front porch with her & let her be a part of planting flowers, bird-watching, etc. At night, he would feed her dinner, rub her achy hands, watch "Andy Griffith" (even when he wanted to watch his sports), & would help hold her up while I changed her diapers. He would lift her in & out of her wheelchair. She absolutely adored him! She just passed away this February & it was hard for us to lose her. She was family to us! My husband drives an old 1989 truck of my son's. He said our children & their education come first & as long as we have a close family, he's the richest man in the The kids got him a big screen TV for Fathers Day last year, which he truly loved but someone broke in our home & stole it & all the jewelry him & our children bought me over the years, SAD! He is very outgoing and everybody loves him. He never complains & always puts himself last. He is always smiling, laughing, dancing around the house & enjoys life no matter what! He doesn't like cats at all, but I have taken in many strays over the years, 2 of the 3 we have now, we have had for 12 years. He helps feed all the strays in the neighborhood, as well as the birds, dogs & squirrels, which we really can't afford, but knows of my love of animals! He loves your show & does what he calls the "fat man boogie"when you dance! If you ever have a show honoring husbamds, fathers or just a "man of the year", PLEASE consider him! THIS IS ALL TRUE! I love him very much & everyday say "THANK YOU & I LOVE YOU" to him but feel he deserves to be honored more! Thanks again for keeping us laughing, singing, dancing, & giving! It's great to see you so happy! Have a great week Ellen! With love & appreciation, Vicki Peterson

Hi Ellen, I started watching your show a few months ago because my hours got cut at work and now I get home in time to share my day with you. There is not one show that doesn't bring tears to my eyes either tears of sadness or tears of joy or laughter. I too have a wish, but not for myself. My son and daughter-in-law have a happy family of five boys. My son, Joe works six days a week to make ends meet and his wife, Jenny is a wonderful Mother and also helps Joe at work. Jenny drives the boys to school 12 miles everyday and then goes to the shop. They have twins that are graduating from High School this spring and Joe is trying to get cheap tickets for a short trip to Vegas foa a graduation present. Jenny is so excited about the possibility and she is not even going along. She is an exceptional gal I love her very much. If you could help in any little way I would be eternally grateful. I realize that there are many people that are in need. I just needed to share this with you. I'm very happy that there is an ELLEN in this world and that I get to enjoy her day with everyone.

Thank You, Mary

ELLEN! YOU ARE THE BEST! You make my day, hate when I have to miss your show... Your show makes me laugh and cry sometimes both at the same time! You are such a beautiful person. You give so much to everyone! I am hoping to win something from your show.. I am a single parent living with my son and my boyfriend who is also a single parent, and his son. We have both been out of work. I got laid off from my State job at the local welfare office in November and now have to rely on that system to help put food on our table. I am also dealing with a myriad of chronic medical condition that require constant doctor visits. It would be so awesome to win something from your show. My boyfriend and I recently planned a long w/e away and were so excited about it, But a week before I came out of the doctors office to a cracked windsheild, trip had to be cancelled to pay for the new windsheild! WE were so disappointed, money has been so tight we haven't been able to do anything much less go out to dinner, we were so looking forward to the trip...
YOU MAKE MY DAY!! LOVE YOU ELLEN!!

Hi Ellen, I am writing because I would like my Friend Jennifer to be on your breast cancer survivor show. She works for UC Davis Hospital in Sacramento. She is has a doctorate in Pharmacy and runs the coagulation clinic. She underwent numerous surgeries, chemo, radiation. She is now cancer free. She continues to be an inspiration to all. She NEVER does anything for herself. She has 2 daughters, and a husband. She works her butt off and needs something just for herself. I would appreciate your consideration in bringing her to your show. Thanks so much Ellen. Your best fan= Sherri Anderson

Ellen,

I think you are great. I always try to watch your show when I can, I tried to get my mom to enter your contests so she can win stuff but she works alot and is a single parent so she does not have much time. I know you give stuff away all the time, and normally I would not ask anyone for anything, but this would mean the world to my mom. My mom works her butt off, she has worked three jobs at times to make sure my brother, sister and I have everything we need. She hardly ever buys anything for herself, or takes time for herself. She is a domestic voilence survivor and does not get any child support, so she has done everything by herself our whole lives. She even left all her friends and stuff to move us to a safe place to grow up. Even in the hardest times, she has made the worst situations into a memorable even fun experience for us. She is AMAZING! She gets paid way less than she deserves, but is going to school to get better jobs. Anyhow, the one thing my mom does for herself is to hike and take pictures. She takes the best pictures I have ever seen. She likes taking pictures of things that most people would walk right by and she does alot of wildlife photos. Our house has tons of her pictures on the walls, she has even won some local photo contests, no prizes but got her pictures blown up and stuff. Everyone says she should do that for a living. She says she has to have a regular check every week to pays the bills and that is silly to think about. My mom had saved up money and bought herself a nice used camera a couple years ago and now, the camera is broken. Nobody is sure what happened or nobody is admitting it. My mom was crushed and I heard her crying about it. Taking pictures is the only thing my mom does for fun. She enters photo contests all the time but most of them are scams and want her to send money. She never enters the ones she has to pay an entry fee for, because she says other thing are more important. She struggles so much all the time and I hate to think that she can't even go and do what she likes now. I thought I would write to you and see if you can help. I just would like to see her get a camera. I feel so bad when I watch her stop to look at something and I know she is thinking "that would be a great shot". She takes us out fishing and see cool places like waterfalls and stuff and takes hundreds of pictures. Silly something as small as a camera means so much to my mom. If you are feeling really De"generes" haha.. I'd like to see her get a GPS too, because she goes out in the woods of Maine all the time and I worry she is going to get lost. It would be something she would like to have but would never spend the money on. Most important though is the camera and I don't want to ask for much. My mom has done so much for our family, she is the strongest woman I know. She always does for everyone else but never asks for help even when she needs it. She always says things will work out for the best. She is stubborn but she is usually right and even when she is not she makes us all laugh when things turn out to be a disaster. People say stuff about single moms but my mom is the greatest. My friends even come to her with problems that they can't talk to thier parents about becuase they know she will listen and help them come to a good choice. Mother's Day is coming and usually she won't let us buy her gifts, she tells us to make her something. She won't accept stuff we buy for her, tells us to spend money on something we want. She says we are more important than her and she doesn't need anything more than she has. BUT I do know she is lost without a camera. She does not say so, but I see it. Anyhow, if you could help I would really, really appreciate it. She does not need anything fancy, becuase she can take good pictures with anything. Again, thank you Ellen. I hope you can help.
