hi i want too win because i am so proud of my family and i would like to treat them!

Hi Ellen, We would love to win a trip to hawaii!
My husband Jeff and I have 2 teenage boys and have never taken a real vacation. I've told my son that the only way we can take a vacation is if we win it. So please consider us!
your long time fan,Laura

Dear Ellen,
I have watched your show since it came on air. I love, love it. I have entered the contest to win the trip to Hawaii. The most important reason this trip would be wonderful for me, is that I take care of my 76 year old sweet mother that has Alzheimers. My mother had 8 children and sacrificed her entire life for us. we never had much, but we had plenty of love. I am her oldest child and I still don't have much, but I love taking care of her, and I owe her my life. I would love to win this trip for her. She is still able to travel at this time, but has never really been a great trip like this one. I would so love to do this last thing for her before she gets too bad to travel. It has always been a dream of hers. Thanks for this opportunity even if we don't win. And thank you for all you do. Linda

Dear Ellen,
Im sure you hear many touching stories, and mine is no more important than the others. I am a recovering addict of almost 7 years now. My children have been through a lot with me, in my addiction and now in my recovery. They are my world!! They still remember the pain, and we are learning together what a "healthy" family is! Today, I can proudly say that I am a Substance Abuse Counselor working for Valley Hope and helping others so that they can find the blessings in their life such as I. I would love an opportunity to spend time with my family, time that I lost in my addiction...to help make the new memories I find sooo precious. Not that I ever want to forget the memories of our pain in my addiction...that is what helps keep me clean and sober today. I love for my family with all my heart!!! This would be such blessing... Hey Ellen,

My partner of eight years(Steve) and I love your show. We love your quirky, improvisational sense of humor, and of course the fact that you are a positive role model for the GLBT community. Recently, he and I went through a traumatic bad patch and I feel badly that I could not give him something special for our eighth anniversary. If we could win your Hawaii trip, we could actually get married and what a gift that would make. I love Steve and would love to show him how special he is in my life. Unfotunately, we live in the conservative Mid-West and do not have the chance to commit our lives as our straight counterparts do. Anyway, we love your show and you and wish you and Portia all the best. Blessed be. Phil

Dear Ellen,
you are wonderful. I admire your convictions, and the causes you support, and above all- your sense of FUN and love of life!
I have survived advanced metastatic breast cancer (so far). I raised my 2 sons alone, through many years of cancer treatment, and many many surgeries including Bone Marrow Transplant. I am very lucky to still be here, and to have the years with my sons that I've had. BUT... the last two years it's been AWFUL- very painful and difficult. I recently had a surgery that helped improve the quality of my life just a bit that I can get out of the house now. I had wasted very badly, but with help of friends- and my two sons- I have gotten thru it, and am now strengthing my body, muscles, and my HOPE. My dear friend, who I've known since we were both 5 yrs old has helped me so much! She will be going thru a divorce, and also wanted to take her daughter to Hawaii to celebrate her 18th b-day. Neither of us have funds to get to Hawaii, really. I would feel like the LUCKIEST woman in the world if I could win a trip and take my dear childhood friend and her girl to Hawaii while I'm still mobile and want to have Hawaiian sunsets imprinted in my brain to recall in future difficult times.

I hope and pray I might be blessed with such a wonderful gift.
Bless you for all the good you do for others,
and what you give of yourself to make life good,
Sincerely and with love,
Karen

Hi Ellen,

I am getting married next April and unfortunately my dad is out of the picture and my mom is going through a terrible divorce and on top of that she lost her job. We don't have a lot of money, but my fiance is so great and has saved and saved in order to pay for our entire wedding! However, you know how expensive weddings can be, and I thought it would be so great to win this trip to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Please, please, please consider me for this trip to Hawaii!

Mollie

Love your show, watch it daily.I would love to win the trip as we are celebrating 30 years of blissful marriage, to a farmer no less.I appreciate all that you do for charity and appreciate all that you have done for the less fortunate. I would be willing to split the trip if that would help you out.I have never won anything, (like so many others) but it sure would be cool to win in IDAHO!Be well and keep up the good work you do. God Bless you Girl.I am pretty sure you have a spot in heaven waiting for you.

Hi Ellen,

I love watching you and your wonderful show. I am a military wife and my hubby is in the Army. We are currently stationed at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas in San Antonio. We have two wonderful boys, ages 12 & 14. We are a little sad because he is about to deploy in a couple of months to Iraq for the fourth time. Each time is harder but each time also makes us stronger. Stronger for me in who I am as a mother and wife but as a woman as well. I would love to win the Hawaii trip and take my family on a vacation before he leaves again. To make some memories that we will cherish not only during these hard times but for years to come. It would be a complete dream come true!! We haven't been on a vacation with all these moves and deployments in years. Thanks so much for everything you do for so many people. Besides dancing and laughing, I love most of all watching you make others so happy!!!
Your a fantastic woman.

Big Hugs,
Angie

Ellen,
I love your show. I watch it everyday!! I would love to win this trip. Me and my boyfriend of 5 1/2 years have been through a lot in those years. We are talking about getting married on an Island somewhere and what better place than Hawaii. I have seen Hawaii but he has not. I think that he would love this and would give us a chance to finally be together and some hope that the future is going to be great since we have been together so long and though whatever we will be there for each other! Love you Ellen and keep dancing!!! Your Friend Rene'from St.Louis MO.

Hi Ellen,
PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Pick me to go to Hawaii, please! I broke my foot in March while walking my dog, and have been in a cast since then... meaning I've missed being outside for the entire spring because I've been laid up on the couch and living in a 6'x3' area of our family room. I NEED a vacation desperately. Being outside in the sun is something I've only dreamed of for the last 2 and 1/2 months. Even though my husband and I never had a honeymoon, I would love to take my sister with me because I don’t want to watch my husband watch other women - I want to relax!!! Please, Please, Please pick me!!!

Fathers Day Gift
Ellen, I love watching your show and especially your Mothers Day show. I wish I could have been there.

I was curious if you have ever done a fathers day show. I recently had a baby boy he is now 4 months old, but I would love to treat my husband. See my whole pregnancy, 9 long months, I was very sick. I ended up on bed rest the last month and had to stop working. Well, with me so sick my husband took care of me and my daughter, his step-daughter. He cooked, he did laundry, dishes, he cleaned house, he brought me food in bed. He took care of the dogs, listened to me while I was crying, on and on. I can't thank him enough. We did have a healthy 9 lb 12 oz "little" boy in February. After a rough 5 days in the hospital he came home. My husband is a wonderful father. He changes poopy diapers, feeds the baby late at night so I can get some extra sleep, continues with laundry and dinner. I just can't thank him enough.

So if you do ever have a fathers day show or we just get lucky and win the Hawaii trip. Keep my wonderful husband in mind.

Thanks
Kim

Thank you for always making me laugh.

Ellen-
I LOVE your show. We DVR the show and my 1 year old and I watch it every day. She loves it when you dance. Makes me laugh.
From reading the other posts, I know there are others more deserving than I. But, as my husband says, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained."
Here's my story...
My husband and I have been married 6 years in June and we welcomed our baby girl June 4, 2008. Since then, I've stopped working to be a stay-at-home mom and my husband switched jobs in March. And we are making a lot less $$. We've sold his truck (bitter-sweet moment), cut down on all of our bills, which includes me no longer having a cell phone, and no more "Vacation Budget." Reality is here. We are no longer living the life of DINKS. (Double Income No Kids) Anyway, we also have a farm (about 350 acres) that my husband is SINGLE-HANDEDLY taking care of while his parents are on a Service Mission in Burma for the Church we belong to. He gets up at about 4:30 am each morning, takes care of the morning farm chores, showers, wakes me up, I fix him a lunch to take to work, he leaves the house by 6:30 am to be at work by 7:00 am. He works 9 hours, comes home, says hello, and his back out doing the nightly farm chores until about 9:30 pm. This is a DAILY routine. Needless to say, I don't see my husband. It's only May and things are just going to get busier as the summer progresses. However, I must say, I am truly grateful for this farm and his commitment. He loves this place and I would really love to give him a much-needed break. Not to mention how badly I need a break!
Thanks for all you do for people. You are hilarious and have a BIG heart.
Stephanie

Hi Ellen,
I love you and your show when I get a chance to watch it. I work a lot, sometimes is during the hour of your your show. My husband and I was married July 4, 1991 and never had a honeymoon, or ever been on a vacation. We will like to have a vacation, but I must tell you that I have a pobia for for large surrounding of water and Height. Thank you

Hi Ellen.

I just wanted to say that it has been so much fun watching your show. You bring a great joy to everyone around you. You really make me feel great in these difficult economic times. You see my husband got laid off a couple of months back and it has been very hard for us to get back to the way we were. Although, he now has a job it pays less than half of what he used to make, things are not going as smoothly as it once was. Also I had to cut hours at work, since i'm going to school to become a nurse. So it makes it can of hard for us to have a vacation. At times, because of our situation I have thought about stoping me college career for a while, but then i think that my career will definitely pay off in the long run. My husband and I have been married for almost 2 years now. It would be really nice if i could surprise him with a trip to Hawaii, so that way we could forget of some of our economic troubles. Thanks for listening. Your a great person.

Jahaira :)
