Kudos! What a neat way of tihnking about it.

I just got out of a nasty divorce. My ex husband threw all of my belonging on the lawn and they were ruined by rain. Including my 3 year old sons bedroom furniture. So.. we Ended up without anything. I would definitely use it to replace my sons dinosaur themed room back again.

Dear Ellen,
I would love an IKEA gift card to give to my MOM.
She is the hardest working mother I've ever met. I am an only child and she has done everything she can to make sure I've had Whatever i wanted. She never buys anything for her self, EVER! IKEA is her favorite store and i would just love for her to be able to spend some money on her self. We recently moved and sold everything we had to do so. and everything we have now is hand me downs.
She bought a resteraunt 7 years ago and lost everything. I just wish she could have more sometimes... She deserves the world.
I know it would mean everthing to her.

wow! i would buy my kids a new tv! or maybe a wii my kids would really enjoy it. They always fight to watch a different channel i only have one tv it would really help! please!

Hi Ellen!!! Just like your million plus followers, I love you and your show! You just have that way of natural inspriational talent. I take away something good with every show. Thank you for that, and Congratulations on your marriage, upcoming anniversary in August, I believe.

Anyway, would really like to win the Ikea Gift Cert for my son. He is an incredible Human being that is a big inspirational compact on everyone he meets. Brandon was born premature, weight 2lbs and 2oz. Needless to say, he has had many struggles being left with Cerebral Palsy. But that never stops him, He graduated from Depaul University in Chicago two years ago, and now works as a computer tech at a firm downtown chicago. I am so proud of him. However, he makes very little money. Not enough to furnish his apt. He has all kinds of hand me downs. I recently bought him a nice couch and entertainment center, but he needs a better bed and some office furniture. He really deserves a break. He never asks for handouts and he hates it when I have to help him. He works harder than anyone I know. Actually he would be a nice addition to your computer department. The greates thing about Brandon is his sense of humor. When he was three, he said he wanted to be a stand up comedian. Well he is just that.

So thank you for listening and considering Brandon for the prize. I should mention, he worked part time at a doggie day care while in college and adopted a pit bull mix while there. He helped feed this puppy when it was born and it was adopted out and then brought back. Brandon bonded so with this gal, and finally was able to adopt her. He needs a bigger bed for a better comfort fit. Lots of love to you and again thank you for all you do. You are the best

Hi Ellen and everyone else!! I think I just posted this on facebook instead of here---oops---I included this in my facebook for others to join Ellen and here I am typing my comment to "you" again! Anyway, I am a clearance shopper due to being poor and wanting to get the most for my buck!! I've gotten pretty good at it too. I need a nice blender and mixer that actually work the way they are supposed to, so I would look for those---if they carry those, as I live in the boonies and am not sure what they have. I would also buy something for my kids to enjoy. A new TV would be nice, as my picture is getting darker and darker on my old one. Heck, anything "new" would be wonderful!! We just adore and love you Ellen, and your show!! Everyone on it seems so happy all the time! It is nice to see lots of smiles! Love ya, Nancy

Hi Dear Ellen; I love your show, now as the kids are out of school they are enjoying each moment of it. the games the way you make people laugh, its worthdoing. I am desperately in need of a bed for my son, whose mattress is all crumbled up and is really old, then a dinning table for the family dinner, the one we are using now is a borrowed picnic table and six people cant get together at once, looking around for a bargain as we cant afford to buy a $800 table or bed. I would be so grateful if I win this gift card and will appreciate your help.

If I won $400.00 I would buy me a nice long dresser drawer. Ihave so many bra's and underwear I need more space for it. That would be great and the best of all is to win the hawaii trip. I would go nuts. I want to go back to maui so bad that I can taste it but I don't think my luck is that great.
I wish I could of taken my Mom with me but she just passed on in March.

My husband and I are moving into a new house (apartment) and we are newly married and are in desperate need of new furniture! My husband is a finish carpenter and it goes to say there isn't too much work for him right now;(. I work at the NH FOOD BANK and with it being a non-profit, needless to say i barley make enough money to pay the bills...although i wouln't chnage it for the world as i am heplping the hungry in NH. If I had a $400.00 gift card to IKEA I would love to buy a dinning room table and chairs. The one we have was donated after our house fire and it is litterly falling apart. One of the chair actually crumbled one night when my husband sat on it while we were having dinner. It was pretty funny but now we can't all sit together for dinner and that is very important to our family. Which includes my husband,my 14 year old son Bailey, my 12 year old daughter Mackenzie, my other daughter Kennedy who is 9 and last but not lease my almost 7 year old son Brady and of course me. SO, please consider us for this gift. We would be extreamly thankful and could once again sit together for our meals without the fear the table will not fall on top of us.
