I think that is wonderful that Ellen and her crew care enough for animals to feed them. Smokey would love a home but then again he/she looks taken care of. Has anyone been able to pet the cat? Are there other cats around? Will Ellen adopt this cat. I agree give Smokey some catnip.
I have rescued 7 cats from my neighboorhood. I love them all. Heck, I love all animals. Ellen your great for caring for animals the way you do. Keep up the good work, and keep on dancing.

Love the cat cam. Who takes care of Smokey on the week-ends and Ellen's hiatus? Is there another cat that there is another bowl for "Girl"?
I wish there was some way to get him a real home. Still this is better than a street.

My husband and I live out in the country. Last June, I rescued a calico/tabby mix. She is around a year old now. Just three days before the flood. Our area got between 8-10 inches of rain. I think Smokey has it all. She has food/water and a nice soft couch to jump on. She's dry and a little famous. What more could she want?

The problem is that he or she may not get along with the rest of the cats, Roseanna.
Roseanna, I have 3 rescued cats. Kermodie and Suzie are together. They lost their mother, (their mistress got killed in a car accident) according to Carol, the President of Richmond Animal Prevention. They both came to me in Feb, 4 years ago. The white one, I named her Snowy came to me after two months and since never get along with Kermod or Suzie. They fight all the time and I just let it ride.
Being so busy, I doubt Ellen will be able to handle that!
