He has the distinction of having attended two Ivy League schools -- Yale and Princeton.

He made his film debut as a guest who hid in the bathroom in 1988's "Working Girl."

He has been nominated for Emmys in both the Drama and Comedy categories.

He is best known for playing an FBI agent in a sci-fi television series that spawned two feature films.

thank you for not making my birthday I signed up to go to your show and was called and said I had a ticket and I waited for 5hr in the parking lot then one of your staff said there no more room. So for your birthday I want you to come to my house and wait for 5hr then one of my staff will come to you and say there is no more room for you. YOU SHOULD NOT DO A BACKLOT BASH IF YOUR STAFF DOSE NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

hey ellen i'm evanne from the philippines and i watch your show very often. i'm 14 years old and i am a very big fan of julianne moore, i just want to ask if you have any plans of guesting her in your show for i am so waiting for that to happen...God bless and more power!!!

Hey Ellen-

I just wanted to thank you and Anderson Cooper both for bringing attention to the terrible plight facing sharks and the damage this does to the balance in our ocean's eco-system. I applaude you both for your outstanding efforts to educate people in all areas and subjects where our fear and lack of knowledge may lead us to make horrible decisions with lasting effects. We should all be doing our part to support and encourage knowledge and understanding of the world around us- thank you for continuing to lead the way.

Ellen,

Just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love your show. Unfortunately, as a teacher I can only watch it when I am off-track. Needless to say, I am glued to my TV in January, May and September everyday at 4:00 during the week. I really wish I could see your show everyday, but as a single mother I just can't afford Tivo. Nonetheless, I wanted to let you know how much joy your show brings to my day. Thanks for all the laughs. Keep on dancing.

Hey Ellen

My mother and I have bveen looking for your new halo dog food for forever now. We can find it no where in Hot Springs Arkansas. Please Please help us. We have a cocker spaniel named punkin who is the worlds fussiest dog. We can hardly get her to eat anything...she just snubs her nose at it and walks away...do you think you could help us with your halo dog food? We sure hope so.
