I think that your backlot bash was a lot of fun. Sure it was crowded and all, but to the people saying negative things about it, SERIOUSLY?!? You should learn to enjoy a situation no matter what. You were at an Ellen Show, if you're so annoyed with crowds then don't go to things like that. The backlot bash was fun and entertaining :D

I am so unhappy with the Backlot Bash event you had. I got Lawn tickets (4) and the reason is well, I did get my tickets and I made my trip from San Diego where I live to LA and found out that it was so disorganized. I signed in and your staff told us to instead of waiting in line to come back before 2pm so we can again make the line and wait for the event. Oh was I surprised that when we came back well its was a disaster. I had a green bracelet with number 29 - 32 (4 people in my party) which meant lawn tickets. Ok, well I had to ask what was going on? There were about 1000 people waiting in line for lawn section and I thought well if we are numbers 29-32 we suppose to be in front of the line like staff told us? I asked your staff many times and all we got was being yelled at and rolling eyes and got answers like you should just wait and see what happens". So we did wait and finally when we got to the bash OH!!!!! big surprise again for me and my party, all I saw was your feet, yes Ellen just your feet. You tell me, was this a great event or what? I still like you but, it makes me think, do you know exactly how these events are not organized well enough that a lot of people did not see you because its was just over crowded? I hope you can see a video of the area and just look around. Me and my party were right in back of your DJ seeing nothing of your show.

People are complaining because the event was completely disorganized--hundreds of people were turned away and many people with guaranteed tickets never got seats while people with "Lawn" tickets were sitting in the fifth row.
It's nice that your daughter got tickets on the Sunday before the show, but many people, myself included, requested tickets several months ago. I received a phone call at least a month ago telling me that I had 4 guaranteed tickets, and someone from Ellen called last week again to confirm that I was still coming.
Meanwhile, my group arrived early as well, and with our "guaranteed" tickets, we were herded to the side of the stage to stand where we could not see a thing, with "Lawn" ticket holders standing in front of us. People in my group took off work to attend, and if we had known that seats were not actually guaranteed, we most likely would not have attended.
When we tried to ask members of Ellen's staff what was going on and if they would seat us, we were yelled at, told to step back, and actually laughed at. Several elderly people with blue wristbands that "guaranteed" them seats ended up standing behind us, and Ellen staff refused to bring over even a few chairs for them.
The main problem seems to be that too many people were given tickets--Ellen sent out a tweet on Sunday saying that more tickets were suddenly available because they had miraculously found more seats. It was irresponsible to keep inviting more people when they clearly did not have enough room or seats for the people they had already confirmed would be attending.
I'm glad you had a good time at the show, but you should realize that for hundreds of disappointed fans, the whole day was a let-down, and the attitudes of many Ellen staff members that I encountered certainly did not help.
Ellen, my daughter got tickets on the Sunday night before the show. We got to the garage at 10:10. We waited with our green bands for the next 5 hours. Nothing to complain about. Everyone that works for you were with smiles on their faces and very quick to answer any questions, honestly. I read a few posts from others that seemed to have negative views, I'm not sure who they were dealing with, unless they were just unhappy people themselves, looking for any negative they could find. Actually, we did run into a couple of people ourselves that were just rude and obnoxious. Anyway, thanks for the great show and the shirts.
Your staff is *wonderful* at deleting negative posts...Too bad they are incredibly rude in person and don't know how to run an event.
Really one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. I love you Ellen and I'm obsessed with the show and will continue to be a huge fan, but was not expecting what happened at the "bash".
Wow, you guys are great, deleting all the negative posts. You screwed up. Why not just admit it and move on.

I just wanted to tell you I watch your show every day. I Live in New Olreans and have lived here my whole life, I love it and would not live anywhere else.I am a single mom with 3 kids. I stay at home and wath kids out of my house, I make sure that all the babies are sleeping at 10 to watch your show. My kids even try to stay home so they can watch you. I was wondering if you were coming to New Olreans any time soon? We would love to come to your show. I would love to even talk to you, you are awesome.

We had looked forward to the show for weeks and weren't disappointed. We were glad that most of the long wait was in the shade. Your employee came along and randomly gave many of us stars on our wristbands which gave us up front, center seats. It was a fabulous show and No Doubt was incredible. We thought the staff did a really good job of crowd control and keeping everyone supplied with water. The T-shirts are great, but it sounded like quite a few people who were toward the back didn't know that they could have gotten the special Backlot Bash T-shirt or free ice cream which was too bad. All in all, well worth the long, hot wait. You are the best Ellen!
The backlot bash was wonderful! This kind of thing can be stressful and a LOT of waiting, but just know that going into it and it's a blast! I have to disagree with whoever said Corey was rude. Actually, I was VERY impressed with how on top of everything she was, and she was as accommodating as possible. That goes for ALL the staff as well. Thanks everyone!
I had a great experience! I showed up with my friend without a ticket and she had one. Your staff was so kind and gave me a wristband and let me in. We got there at 10am expecting a crowd. Another staff member came up to me later and put a star on my band and my friends! We were right up front and we had the best time!! I thought the staff was very friendly and nice. I wish you would have hit more tennis balls and they could have handed out the t-shirts earlier. Thank you to the lady who gave me the star - it was awesome! Boo to the lady in the dress who took the chair away! Nice to give the Hawaii ticket to grandma. I liked that. The day was great! Thank you Ellen!
