I wanted to be like you ellen but I cant because I am still young as 21 because education is never old. but I will be one day. As long as I can see your show on the tv, im happy because you make me happy about being smart like you. Having a lot of money is not a nessary but making people happy, it makes you feel like hero. Thats why I go to school to get my degree. I dont care how long will it takes, I know I will be there at that point one day. I am a student in california san bernardino valley college. I am going for a math professor and registered nurse. So all I need right now is being happy and smart like you and make people happy. !!!!!
your help would mean alot to me..
You are good....
Wish me luck....
Hey Ellen,
I am a huge fan of yours! I watch your show just like everyone else and there's no doubt about it you're influential and I hope to accomplish as much as I can when I am older just as you have. I love being able to assist people any way possible and I believe you know exactly what to do when someone needs your help. I saw this particular episode long ago but it's meaning stays the same. Now that I am a senior in HS and of first generation I am bombarded with college apps and trying to figure out a way to pay for college. I am hopeful however that everything will be alright. Thank you for making me laugh even when I worry, keep doing what you're doing.
Best wishes,
Yajaira

Hi Ellen,
I love your show so much and love your energy that you bring! I was wondering if you could help me find and get scholarships to pay for school. I need help with that! Please Help me!
Hi Ellen,
I enjoy your show, I too love to talk and dance! I tivo the show and watch it early (before the sun comes up) the next morning. Unfortunately, I am currently a 44 yr old unemployed Construction Safety Supervisor worked primaraly in refinery's. I love my job, safety is the most important part of every construction job or any job. Being a female in a male dominated business is difficult but so worth it. I have decided to go back to school, I started about 16 years ago and never was able to finish because of work and a fabulous daughter. I am searching as many scholarship programs as possible, unemployement doesn't go far with tuition. I am going back to school to get my Occupational Safety and Health degree, YEAH. I would love any help or advice.
Thank you, Bonnie
Safety isn't expensive, it's priceless!
Hey Ellen,
My name is Adriana, and I am now soon gonna be a junior, and my plans when I graduate High School is to go to college. my goals for the next two years is to get an "A" in every single class. And it would be my first. I have now been thinking what I have been wanting to do with my life, but there are just way to many things I want to do. I am now starting to care to go to college, and I am trying to do the best I can to do good in Highschool. My freshman grades started out Great! But then my sophomore year was a bit down, because my family had started on making there own business, but now I am getting use to my schedule and gonna be trying my complete hardest to get help for paying off my college. I'm a very great, outing gal who just loves to volunteer in anything I see that needs help. I am a person who is tryig super hard to reach my goals to make it all the way through with some help.
I wanted some help from your schollarship.
If there is some way you can help me get money for college I would appreciate the help.

Hi Ellen,
I was just wondering how a student might be concidered for one of your scholarships. My son has a plan for a future in egineering science. His plan or dream as some might say all depends on his chance of attending college. I call him a human sponge, because he absorbs any and all information he hears, sees, and reads. He is very smart, He is a Prarie State Scholar, A Illinois State Scholar, and in the National Honor Society. He got a 32 on his ACT's, 3.3 gpa, and ranked 88/564 of his grad class. All of this is great, but not well enough for any scholarships because his one downfall is English and most scholarships are based on essays, he does his best but I think a bit of his asperger's syndrome or add holds him back. He does have an IEP (individual education program) and has had since preschool, that might be part of why he doesnt get picked for scholarship but I dont know for sure. To sum this up and not talk your ear off any further, I just wanted to know how he might be in the running for one of the scholarships that you award students, or maybe you could give me some information on other ones he could get. His future nplan depends on the ability to go to college, but with out some sort of help it becomes just a dream out of his reach.
Dear Ellen,
Love you and have watched u whenever I was not working to raise my family. I am in a desperate search for any type of Financial Assistance that would be available for my soon to be college senior. We just found out that is FAFSA ltr has stated that our family contribution for his senior year will be $8,700.00 and I do not want charity but am at a loss as to where to go for help.
I am a single mother of 4 children and this is my last one to finish school. I lost my job after 10 years because of the economy9my unemployment benefits are totally exhausted) and unfortunately I live in an area where employment opportunities are very few and far between. I am the proud owner of a 16 yr old rusty "whooptie' that barely gets me around to try to find employment. May have to leave this area and move to an area where jobs are more plentiful, walking away from my family home of 7 years. But that is my issue to deal with. What I worry about most is my sons' future. He will be a senior at Ashland University in Ashland, OHIO and is majoring in Sports Management. He has been a Little League umpire and Hot Stove League Baseball coach in our county (Holmes) for 4 years, works part time at our County Parks & Recreation Dept., umpiring, refereeing, holding various sports clinics for kids and also does field maintenance for the same dept. In light of my dire financial situation, he and I worry that he may have to put off finishing his education and graduating so he may realize his goal to be a successful coach. He is a GREAT Son and has had to scratch and scrimp along with me just to be able to attend school for the last 3 years while continuing to coach every summer in the local baseball program for no pay... just to have a chance to work with the kids and maybe make a difference in their lives! My only wish for him is that he will be able to continue his studies and complete his senior year without the constant financial worries of the past 3 years before he enters the real world, where the worry never stops! He deserves this sooo much and any assistance in finding the resources so that he may accomplish his goals would be appreciated. He has no idea that I am doing this and asking for help, so maybe it would make the burden a bit easier for such a focused dedicated, hardworking& caring young man that I am proud to call my boy! Thank you!
dear Ellen im a high school student at Thomas Jefferson high school and im was trying to apply to you scholarship.. if there is some way you can help me get money for collage i will highly appreciated it. i want to go to collage im the first of my family to finish high school and i want to be the first to finish collage too.. thank you.. crystal zaragoza
I was wondering what you have to do to apply to be considered for a scholarship? I am a full time working mother who is wanting to further my education and because I work - I do not qualify for a lot of financial aid, however, trying to get into nursing school and buying books and supplies is not cheap.
I am not looking for a windfall - just a little bit of assistance. Any information you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
hi
It is so generous of you and surely it is so nice having to advocate for literacy. One question though what about the African young people who want to pursue an education and are half way to completion but can not make ends meet and are the verge of dropping out. Am talking about one who has is in her fourth year but cannot complete the final semester what about them?
Good Day,
My name is Tia and I am a 23 year old female living in the Virgin Islands.
I recently took the step to attend college now that I have taken care of my mother who passed a year ago. I came across a hurdle in my finances. My brother got the government to assist him with school while our mother was alive because of her income situation but now that she's gone, I am left to pay for college on my own and it seems like the hardest thing ever. I was wondering if there was a way that someone or an organization where I could possibly get some assistance with paying attending a university online. If so, please let me know what i need to do the receive a scholarship or any type of financial help for my education. I was so afraid to write this message but now that I'm at the end I feel a little better know that I made that step forward to obtain help to further my education. I am currently going through the admissions process at the Everest University Online.
Thank you so much for taking time to read this letter.
i did not get helped with EDD at all because i have young child which i have no one to take cared of.i am only one that needed to take care of him.i don't have money to paid for babysitter.i supported to TAA helped me because my company paid for it.They messed me up by not sent those letter which they are supported to.i did not know and it is now expirater. i cannot go to school because school is expenses and i don't have time.i can take On-line classes and take care of him and that will be okay unfornuately the school is too expensive for me to go.i am 34 years old and have worked this company for long time.It sold to Siemens and Siemens decided they don't needed us anymore. They want to go oversea to United Kingdom to make business. Many thousands of us are laid off one by one and that is including my families members.
