I,am writing this because my niece is expecting a baby and she is high risk. She will graduate from
college this friday. But she will not be able to attend the ceremony in Fl. She moved to Il with her husband to find better jobs. Her mother will also graduate this friday and is sad because of the flu outbreak my niece will not be able to fly and come to Fl.
We are having a party to celebrate. My Sister has been going to college
off and on for over 16 years.

I'm writing this for my daughter, Jessica. Shes pregnant with her second child. Her daughter will be 18 months old when this one is born. Shes been trying to save up money to move into a two bedroom apartment, now she needs a 3 bedroom. Shes on a fixed income without a vehicle. I work full time and do what I can on my days off. Dear Ellen,

I really love what you do for so many people. I am a mother of 3 young girls. I have been married for 9 years to a wonderful man who went to work everyday. He would work over anytime he could get it. Well he is laid off for who knows how long. After my third girl, I had to stay at home to take care of them. You can imagine how hard it is to go down from 2 incomes to 1 income. We had dreams of moving into a new home, just like millions of other people. With everything that has happened in the last few months, that dream may be put on hold. I love my girls and pretty much sacrifice what I need for them. I know that there are several more people hurting more than what I am, but I can't seem to wonder when my dreams will come true. I would really like to take a honeymoon with my husband, but with times the way they are, I probably will be 60 or 70 taking my honeymoon. Can you please put some excitement in my life (I don't mean the kind that my kids do). Thanks for all that you do for people.

MY FIENCE AND I ARE SUPPOSE TO GET MARRIED ON SEPTEMBER 12 2009. WE ARE ON A TIGHT BUDGET SO HE MENTIONED GETTING MARRIED JUSTICE OF THE PEACE BUT I DON'T WANT TO. I DON'T WORK CAUSE I HELP TAKE CARE OF HIM WHO SUFFERS FROM STROKES AND HIS PARENTS WHO ARE BLIND AND DEAF PLUS I TAKE CARE OF THE HOUSEWORK. I WAS WONDERING IF U COULD HELP ME WITH THE WEDDING OF MY DREAMS.

I'm a mom of two girls 4 and 5 and I've a little boy on the way. My husband has been laid off and I'm working until the end of May and we'll not have any income coming in until he gets his job back or he finds a new one. Ellen if there is anything you can do to help us keep our bills paid until we get back on feet. My family and I will be really grateful. We watch your show everyday! You're a great open hearted person! We love you.

Dear Ellen,
My mother Barbara Perkins is a great mother and grandmother. She has been through a lot with losing her two brothers, both parents on the same day, and then her only sister. My mother has heart disease and had two bypass surgeries but still she carries on by the grace of GOD. She looks out for those that are in need. It not much but she will feed you if you stop by or take a plate to someone who cannot get out of the house. But most of all Ellen, she has taken care of my younger sister's children since they were babies. My mother has two of the children, ages 20 (in college) and 17 (junior in H.S.) and I have the other two, ages 19 and 7.It has been a blessing just to have those children in our lives. She has done a great job in raising the children. My mother and stepfather are on a fixed income, so by being the oldest, I help out as much as I can. I am always dreaming of ways to make her life just a little bit easier. She decided to put her life on hold to raise another family without hesitation. I know she deserves a great mother's day gift because she is a great mother.

Dear Ellen,

I am writing about my daughter, Kim. She had her first baby on January 26th. Being diabetic Kimmie's pregnancy was difficult. During her pregnancy Kimmie was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. It was hard to wait but her little girl was born healthy and is doing well. Kim has had her thyroid removed 6 weeks later. She just had her radio active treatment and has to be isolated for several days. In our hearts Kim is the Mother of the Year even though her little girl is only 3 months old.

Dear Ellen,

My son, mother and I watch you everyday. We think you are a great person. We thank God everyday that there is someone like you out there helping people. You are a special person Ellen.

Merritt, Mae and Sally
