Smokey's Summer Plans

Where There's Smokey, There's Joe My Fellow Smokey Enthusiasts,

I will be taking a little vacation soon, but I just wanted to let you all know that Smokey will be taken care of in my absence. Even when we take a break from taping, there are always people in the office to make sure he gets fed. Whenever he wants, he will always be able to eat, drink, roll around the stage, and stare at the cat condo without actually using it.

That sounds oddly similar to my own vacation plans.

We won't let anything happen to our favorite Internet sensation!

We are still watching for Smokey every day and waiting for his bowls to be put back for his fans to see.

I was reviewing cam 2 just now and spotted Smokey at the time I saw him earlier ... the time on the top right said ... 10:10:58. He was just walking in front of the stage looking like maybe he was looking in the direction of the camera.

LIVE !!! Smokey sighting again! I was looking at cam 2 and he was walking to the right but staring up on stage. . . probably looking to see if his food bowls were put back. LIVE !!! Smokey sighting at 1:11 p.m. EST. He was walking across the floor in front of the cam on Mary's stand and then the next shot was him just walking past Tony's area! I sure hope he had something to eat while he was here for his Halo hunting.

HI JANE . WHEN THE STARTED TO WORK ON THE SET FOR ELLEN NEW SEASON 7 THEY TOOK HIS CONDO & FOOD AND WATER BOWLS AND PUT THEM ON SIDE OF THE STAGE TO PUT NEW CARPET AND WORKING AROUND THE CIELING SO THEY WOULDNT DROP ANY THING IN HIS FOOD & WATER
THE PROMISE THEY WOULD PUT IT BACK AFTER THEY WERE DONE BUT NO SUCH LUCK YET .TEAM SMOKEY FANS ARE TRYING ARE TRYING TO GET THEM BACK WE STARTED A PAGE ON FACEBOOK CALLED TEAM SMOKEY . I used to watch the cameras on web and see the smokey cat eating his food and drinking his water, and rolling around on the floor and staring up at his condo. But his condo and food and water bowls have disappeared. What happened? Ellen can you please let me know? Much love. Jane

Hi Sachi,

I made a FaceBook for the just the Smokey Family. I made a user name for it called Team.Smokey so that you could find me that way, but it would not let me post here it with the link in it. So I need your name again so that I can add you. I have not used this new FaceBook, so it’s pretty much blank right now. I will add stuff some personal stuff, but my picture is of my kitty Sammie next to a pumpkin, I thought it went well with the season! Anyway, could you please give me your name again, I cannot look back to the older pages where you told me if before. I forgot to write it down.

I'm sorry to hear your computer was broken, but I'm glad you are back. We were all worried about you. I"m going to let my Smokey family know you are back. Why don't you join us on our Facebook. If you already have Facebook page with lots of friends, you could create another one with another name just for the Smokey family. Deb did that. I have some pictures of Smokey there. And they can't delete our posts there.

smokey family .
im still writing letters thru emailing .twiiter and facebook and aand ellen comments and hoping
she will help us with getting smokey bowls back
i still check for smokey hoping to see him around the studio . still love our studio cat smokey and i will not give up on getting his bowls where we can see them . ellen please help us with the matter and help us with the bowls so we can see them thanks karen s henry dover ohio a big fan of ellen

Thanks Shari for letting me know. I can't remember now what I said but I might have mentioned something about not hearing from Halo VP and we're not getting responses from anyone though all the attempts...calls, letters, emails, posts, facebook, twitter....

Deb, your post did show up, because I read it late Wednesday afternoon... looks like it was deemed inappropriate. Lord knows why?!

**Cam 3 2-hour tape Smokey Alert! I caught a tiny glimpse of him Thursday morn at 00:32:54 (3:32am EDT)!! He was walking to the left of the audience seats, as usual. WHEW! SO good to see his cute little furriness!!!!

Smokey Alert! I saw Smokey on Cam 2 on the 24 hour tape and the Today tape around 8 this morning. He was in front of the stage next to the camera cover on the 24 hr tape and walking off to the left on the Today tape a little while later. So happy to see him and also that you're able to post again Debi! Glad you saw him too. Maybe you can see him Sachi if you check the tapes. I don't know what happen to Julie...

Hi, Smokey family!

I haven't seen Smokey for a long time, but Debi saw him on cam 3 2 hr review yesterday. He is still around. Deb, I always wonder how he gets in. It's a sound stage. It shouldn't have any gap or anything.

I was just in Google seeing if I could find anything current for Ellen's webcam and Smokey. I found this site called Cam-alot. I wasn't aware of it but it has webcams from all over the world and people rate the webcams, etc. Guess whats the 8th top view cam? Ellen's stage looking for Smokey! Looks like people stopped posting though in March for whatever reason. More proof how popular this was for everyone.

Hello Smokey Family,

I just checked all the tapes and haven't seen Smokey. Seems like none of us have seen him since they put those new covers on the chairs. Does anyone know how Smokey got into the stage area? I've always wondered that. Seems like if a cat could get in, they would have had other critters coming in as well but that mustn't have been a problem as he's been coming into that area for a long time.

Terribly coincidental that we haven't seen him since they put the new covers on. I haven't heard a thing from the VP at Halo either. Really upsets me, and all of us I know, that she's not bringing the bowls back, appears that way anyway and now perhaps she's locked him out of the area. Sure hope someone sees him this weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm going to check facebook now to see if anyone has checked in.
