Ellen,
You are a great tv host. I loved it when you had matt Giraud on your show. That was so cool when you were on the piano while Matt was singing. I also can't believe he was able to do the show without missing a note or getting tickled. The show was great.
Sincerely,
Janice Nance

I missed seeing Matt on your show, I voted for him every week... he is fantastic, he has a great voice, I can listen to him over and over again. My daughter goes to school at Western Michigan and knows Matt, she has been a fan of his ever since she first saw him playing at the bar, and I have become a fan too, can hardly wait for his CD, which I know will be coming out in the future.
By the way, Ellen I think your show is tops, way better then all the other talk shows combined.
Dont change a thing, I watch whenever I can.

I missed the show with Matt Giraud. I am from Gobles, MI and I love his voice! I was sad that he got voted off! But it is a tough competition this year! He did deserve to stay on a couple more weeks, I would've love to see the top 3 be Danny, Kris, and Matt! But, he will go far in whatever he chooses! AI was just the first step to a long career! Congrats to Matt!!! I love your show Ellen!!!

Matt shined, and I'm not surprised at all. I've been a huge fan of Matt's ever since he sang Georgia on AI. I'm not a teeny bopper or young at all. I'm a 43 year old professional from RI, and Matt and his music move me. Nothing against the other idol contestants, they're all talented, but none of them move me like Matt does. Maybe it's because I was raised on Ray Charles and Satchmo and the great standards of Sinatra and Ella, I feel a connection to Matt's music, and he sings with so much heart and soul. Love watching him perform, and I'm so grateful for his talent. It doesn't come along every day. I can't wait to hear his music and watch him perform.

One other thing. I could never figure out why the AI judges kept trying to pigeon hole Matt into R n B when they should've praised him for showing such rare versatility and range. I was dumbfounded that he wasn't praised for nailing both the Fray and Marvin Gaye. Not too many artists can pull that off. And if that weren't enough, he sings jazz beautifully which is nothing short of genius. I can think of a few famous artists known for that, crossing over genres that is, and they are highly regarded in the music industry. I can think of one, for example, who could never be pigeonholed. He has one royal-like name that starts with 'P' and he hails from Minnesota. Look at him now, grammys and an oscar under his belt. I think you get my point. I listen to opera and rap and everything in between, and I will enjoy listening to anything Matt Giraud sings. He is an amazing talent! Matt, be true to yourself. You're a star!

Chloe,

I don't agree with you.

Matt was WONDERFUL!!!!!! Hope you have him on again. He has a great stage presence and fun
personality and will go far. When one door closes, another will open. Keep opening doors Matt!!

Hi Ellen,

great show yet again!! It was nice to see Annie Duke tell her side -- she is very well spoken and everything she said made perfect sense (I like her) Matt Giraud WOW!! he was amazing (as usual) I am surprised he left but in the long run it won't matter -- I can't wait for his first album I will be there to buy it. Nice talents today -- great job especially to your Canadian guest (Go Canada) My daughters and I love your show and have been watching for some time -- keep dancin', smiling and making us laugh! Canada loves you!!

I loved Matt today. I have been a big fan since the beginning of Idol. He is sooo talented!! Thanks for having him on and I hope he continues to make great music. Loved your show.

Thanks Ellen.

Ellen!

Yes Matt is GOOD! His performance on your show proves it!!!! He reminds me a lot of Justin Timberlake!!! Very talented. He gets into his music.. feels it.. becomes it... sound vibrates you into a big giant goose bump!!! HEee!

look... it caused you to climb on the piano again!!! I don't know how Matt performed soooo well with you looking into his eyes like that... I would have started laughing.. or missed a note!

Another great show Ellen! And yes... it is important to look ahead! I agree! But it was fun to celebrate with you looking back briefly. Its ok to look back briefly when you are celebrating!!!! If your looking back to be sad or to say what might have been-hindsight.. then that's not productive and you shouldn't do that.. NOT a good thing. But if your looking back FONDLY in rememberance of a good time! then that's ok as long as you don't linger too long. So yes.. we've looked back and we've enjoyed and re-lived some GREAT MOMENTS!!! and now its time TO MAKE NEW GREAT MOMENTS! :) To

To THE FUTURE!!!! (tap wine glasses in air...take a gulp!) Don't sip... just TAKE IT!!!

See you tomorrow Ellen and Crew! :)
I have a lots to do!

Is Matt going to be on Ellen today? If not, when?

Idol, let tell you about the problem with wooden, metal, stone, and origami tigers.
