Dear Ellen,
My name is Teri. I'll start by saying i love your show. I'm a Native American who makes a living by making traditional pottery and going to artshows. Since the economy has been the way it is i havent been doing so good. I'm also a mother of a 22 month old. It gets hard at times because we dont have the money to build the house we want. We've been living with my parents for awhile now. We want to get a place of our own. If you can help us out we would appreciate it. I'm a kind and loving person who gives what i can to others just cause. i hope i can get it back in return.
Thank you for listening,

Hey ellen,

I am 18 and i happen to be the daughter of a single mother. My parents got divorced when i was eight, but my father is still trying to get out of paying child support to me and my younger sister. I have had a part time job since i was twelve because my mom could not always give us the things we wanted. I have recently been informed that my father and my mom went to court once again over child support. I have until September to show proof that i have applied to university and have been accepted or else i do not recieve my $450 a month child support anymore.Unfortunately my dad requested this knowing that i had not applied to any schools because i had planned on working full time for a year first before going to university because i simply can not afford school.

My situation now is that if i do not go to school or get accepted this year i will not be able to afford to live anymore, but i can not afford to go to massage school like i wish to. So either way i am screwed.

My mom has her credit cards maxed and works so hard to provide my sister and i with what we need, while my father is off on month long trips and cruises. My mother has given up everything for us and has always putting our needs (and my golden retrievers needs) ahead of hers.

She works so hard and the gold digger would help so much. I do not want my future to be like my mom's life situation and this would really help with school.

Greetings Ellen my name is Stephanie Winston. I am a single mother of three wonderful children,2 boys and 1 girl under the age of 5 years , and a college student, currently attending South University Montgomery Campus. You have been an inspiration to me since your television sitcom "Ellen." I must say that recently Life has been a struggle. My children and I have not had a stable living environment since I lost my apartment in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, a job seems as if it is difficult to come by, due to the status of this economy.

I would like for my children to be happy. I would like to play gold digger so that my children would have toys to play with and clothes on their backs. I am embarrassed to say that I cannot afford any of the two. Thank you for being my inspiration and who you are "generous."

To conclude, I will be finishing school finally, God willing this May 2010. I would like to ask for you and Portia to attend my graduation. I will be more than honored. Thank you and God bless

Sincerely
Stephanie

hey ellen, my name is hailey ehrhardt and im 14 years old & i go to lakewood high school. First off i think your show is the best i watch it as often as i can. I think gold digger should be brought to my house becuase right know with everything going on in the economy money isnt very good right know and i live with my grandma,my mom,my dad,my brother and sister and our dog nestle, things havent been that easy since gas and everything. my parents and grandma do as much as they can for us with what ever they make. they barely make ends meet. but i would like to at least do as much as i can for them if gold digger was here. my grandma has so many bills that need to be paid and i just would like to at least make her life a little bit easier because she is the best grand mother in the world and my parents are just the same. thank you ellen for reading why i think gold digger should be brought to our home :)

Hi Ellen,I'm 62 years young and have watched you throughout the years, your ups and downs and you never lost the beautiful person you are. Your show is so you.
My story is this. I have recently become un-employed and am hanging on by a thread. I must work to supplement my Social Security or will be out in the streets. The unemployment benifits have not started and a few bills are now two months due. I've exhausted what is available to me and it must be even worst for some help, like cut-off notices. Those will be coming soon enough. I don't need much as I am not use to much. I live simply and the love of the earth keeps me going. I love to take photos of everything around me. From the sky to the earth it is my heaven. My camera is old like me and works when it wants to. I would love to have a chance to be a gold digger. Keep up the good work and thanks for the opportunity to talk with you. Love, Barbara PS. Love!!!your hair cut

Hi Ellen, I am writing on behalf of my mom, Carolyn johnson. I have watched the show since 8th grade and i am now a junior in high school. I LOVE YOUR SHOW!! My mother is a single parent who usually works everyday but because of this economy the company she works for has cut hours and now she only works 4 days a week. We live together with my aunt, and her husband and son. we all moved in together to help take care of my grandfather who suffered from Alzheimers disease. Sadly, He died in December of 2007. Since then everything has gone downhill. I play basketball for my high school as well as a traveling basketball with an ambition to get a full ride scholarship. As you can imagine it is very hard for my mother to keep up with her car payment, rent, as well as my basketball expenses not to mention struggling to get a car for me. My mother is the type of person that thinks she can do everything no matter what else is going on and although does not like to accept it she does need some help. She is the strongest woman i know and she is everything I aspire to be. You are always helping people out which is another thing i love about you and your show, my mother is always trying to help everyone else, and sometimes forgets to take care of herself. Ellen, please help my mother and I. The chance to play the Gold Digger game would give my mother the boost she needs pay off her car payment as well as the rent. (maybe even a down payment on my car) I understand if we do not recieve the chance to play but regardless I love your show and will continue to watch. thanks for your time as i can imagine you are a very busy woman. Thanks!!

Sincerely,
Tiashay Johnson

Dear Mrs. Ellen,

I understand many of us out there could use the generous money you are willing to hand out, but I really need your help. Because of the tough times, my amazing father lost his home and know has to be separated from me because of financial problems. This game would help so much and mean the world to me and my family. Please help us. Thank you for everything you do and all of the joy you bring to this world. You truly are a gift.

God Bless,
Christina

Hi Ellen: You top anything on T.V. Anyway, what I would use fun dollars, would be paying my bills and maybe buying enough food to fill my kitchen.
I have worked at Wal-mart for six years, and still only make eleven dollars and seventy cents an hour after I pay rent and power bill and water I don't have anything left, my daughter will share with me. You think after six years I would make more, but then its Wal-mart.
I also have my best friends, my cats, Buddy and Bull, I buy a big bag of cat food an a big box of litter and hope for the best, fill the tank on my car which has its own problems,
I realise that I am not the only one in this mess, and I know some of them.
Anyway, thanks for listening, your a special person, and I love what you do for animals

I have two daughters Makayla who is 3 and Maranda who is 2 and my husbands name is chad. My husband and i are having trouble getting jobs so therefor our parents have been helping us. I would like to play the game so i could give some money back to our parents so the can get back on there feet. It's just so hard getting jobs and it's almost ridiculous. I would just like your help since your such a giving person and a loving one to. I watch your show everyday and you never think about yourdelf. You are my role model because if i could help people i would be just like you. You are an inspiration and if i could be anything like you i would love it. I just hope that you will pick me for the gold digger game i really need to help my parents out so that they don't loose everything they own because of me. Thanks for hearing my story. Melissa

Dear Ellen,
LOVE YOUR SHOW!!!
My hard working grand daughter is a young 21 yr old (almost). She is married to a really good workin' guy. Living at her mom's; he lost his job in Colorado and couldn't find another one; therefore lost the house that they were buying. WAY too many people in her mom's house, but my daughter does her best to make them welcome. Daughter also has custody of another of her grandchildren who has special needs. This grand daughter and son-in-law are struggling, barely making enough to pay their own way & it's difficult to get enough set by to get out in their own place. Grand daughter works as a waitress & her husband has a fairly good part time job & works odd jobs around & about nearby. They need a place to live. They have these 4 small children. She had a daughter when they married, then they had a son, then she became pregnant with twins. Could you send gold digger to her or help them in some way?

Sincerely,

jc, Chula Vista, CA

Hi Ellen,
I am just at a loss and do not know what to do!! I have lost my job, my home to foreclosure and now I am living with my daughter and son-inlaw. He is leaving for Iraq on June 28,2009 for 9 months I want desperately to help my daughter out financially with bills and the kids. Winning some money would be a chance in a lifetime to do this. With my son-inlaw leaving I want to help with as little less stress for my daughter by helping her out finanially so as not to worry while her husband is gone as to how she will get by.

Hi Ellen,

I watched your show today about the stimulus package. At the end you said to e-mail you and tell you why you should come to my house with the stimulus package. You should come to my home because I live in Idaho, and earlier on the show you asked a guest if they had been here, they said, no, and then you stated you had never been here. It is beautiful here and I think you would enjoy it. Also, I just graduated from nursing school and and could use a stimulus package to help pay some student loans. I hope you will consider coming to my home in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho.

Thanks!

Hi Ellen!
My name is Kyleigh Pruitte and i'm from Independence, Kentucky. I watch your show when I am at home but usally I am at school. Now that it is summer I am now out. I watch your show every day while my mom is at work.

I was wondering if you would come here so my mom could play gold digger. I am only eleven years old and my mom means the world to me. My mom is a single mom of two kids. Even though she works everyday we are still really tight on money. My mom has raised me and my eight year old brother by herself for six years now. She does everything as could as she can but we are living from pay check to pay check and by each day it gets harder. So thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Hey Ellen,

I just want to start off by saying how much I love coming home to you at the end of the day. :P I am a teacher, and I love unwinding at the end of the day by watching your show, just like my mom.

I would love for my parents to play Gold Digger. My mom was laid off work last year, and is now working as a personal coach and inspirational speaker to try and help people (women especially) live their best lives. She has helped so many people already, and I would love to see someone help her out. It's difficult starting your own business, and now my dad is off work on stress leave, fighting with the insurance company for pay. They're the best, most supportive and encouraging parents in the world (I promise I'm not biased - I'm just right), and they deserve all the help they can get. They have given my sister and I the encouragement needed to pursue our dreams, and now we are both on the path of helping others, trying to make whatever difference we can in the world.

Throughout years of struggle and worry, my parents have stayed postive, loving, and are absolutely the most amazing parents anyone could ask for.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for helping so many people every day. YOU are amazing, too, and I love everything that you represent.

Sincerely,
Melissa

Dear Ellen I wrote an email before and got no response. I know you are a busy person but I desperately need your help. I lost my home, truck and job and have been able unable to find a job. I moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Houston Texas and hoping to land a job but since my tenor here I have been very unsuccessful. I tried to commit sucide in 2007 because I could not take the pain and all I wanted to do was to ease the pain so I thought this was the right way to go. But now I see this is not the way to go. I need to get back to Florida to try and help myself but I donot have the funds. I am asking you for your help and know that things will get better once I get a job. I am currently living with my sister and she has allowed me to live with her rent free, but I feel I am a burden to her. I watch your show daily and has loved you for a long time. I hope one on these days I can come to your show to see you in person. Ellen please help me to help myself. I want to move back to Florida where I've lived for 10 years. I miss my grandchildren, son and other sister. I need to get back to Florida but have no money to make my move. Please Please Help Me.

Love

Hello Ellen
My name is Ashley.I'm writing this letter because my mom needs a serious helping hand. I wanted to know if you could let my mom play golddigger. My mom is a single parent of 6 kids. 1girl and 5 boys. All of us are teenagers so we need so much.Plus she has been caring for the son of a family friend for the last 2years.
My mom works her but off to care of all of, but we know everyday is a struggle for her.She only makes. She cant even buy herself some new work shoes because she used the money to buy graduation clothes for me and my brother. We are in danger of having our lights and gas shut off because she used the money to send me to my Senior prom.
I also know that she is trying really hard to save enough money to take me to meet my biological father for the 1st time ever.
Ellen my mom really needs so much help. Outside of the usual bills, her car was totaled in Feb,some of my brothers dont have beds to sleep on, and to top it all off our washer just broke down. So Ellen if this letter is lucky enough to find its way to you, could you please consider letting her play golddigger.
