I was bullied at work too... several places really.

pick on the meek and shy person. If I wasn't at work.. I'd let 'em have a dose of their own medicine but then I'd be no better than them.. why stoop to the cess pool people's pond... but it sure would feel good to just tell the bullies off.. but that's the worst thing you can do.

The best thing is to just walk away if you can. Don't fuel the fire.. poor gas on the flames.. it just makes bullying worse. Theirs a website on bullying you can research and they actually tell you the steps you can take against bullying.

But yeah.. I dealt with bullying at work too by putting up with it until I decided the job wasn't worth it. I lost 800 dollars a month 'cause I quit my job which sucks.. but weigh the emotional health benefits of my own safety and happiness... money isn't everything.

Yeah.. I've had to quit 2 jobs due to bullying.

Bully is wrong.

I agree schools and parents need to do much more to stop bullying. I was picked on in high school so much that I left the school. I now have a 16 year old in high school and every time I hear about someone being bullied it makes me sick. I have a zero tolerance for anyone making fun of another person, it's just so wrong. I tell my children if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all and I tell them to treat people the way you would want them to treat you. It's sad that even more than 20 years have passed since I was in school that this horrible behavior is still happening. This followed me into my work place and I had to leave there as well. We are all human beings and should treat each other with respect not project our insecurities on others.
