Dear Ellen,

Fist I just wanted to say that I love your show. You are such a great person, and make the world such a better place by making everyone laugh.

But I am writting you for a more serious matter. I am writting you cause I want to do something for my Mom and her parter Patty. My Mom and Patty found each other about 3 and a half years ago, and realised that they were meant for each other. I was so happy for them and supported them completely, when everyone around them was writting them off because of the stupid "same sex" rasicim that is out there. All there friends said it wouldn't last, but my sister and I could see that it was for real. They were looking forward to spending along life together traveling the road (patty was a truck driver) and having a great time.
Unfortunatly Patty recently found out that she has stage 4 cancer and it has matasasized and that treament would only make her feel worse. Just when they thought they had a bright future together they get the worse news. They have informed her that she may only have one year to live if she is lucky. They are making the best of what they can, trying to stay positive.

When I talk to my Mom on the phone she is always asking " Did you see Ellen today? It was so funny Patty and I couldn't stop laughing. We would love to see her one day"

I guess that is where I come in. I would love to somehowe give them that chance to see you. The problem is they live in Ontario Canada, and I am all the way in Alberta Canada. They don't have a vehicle and Patty is afraid to fly. My finance don't allow me to go home often, even though I would love to drive them to L.A. I was wondering if you would have the time to help me out.
I understand you probly receive countless messages like this one, but I hope somehow you get this soon, and we could work something out.

Thanks again,

Your friend Melissa.

Hey Ellen:

My name is Alicia Sinukoff and I am from Toronto Canada. We love you in Canada but it is very frustrating as we can't enter any of the contests, since they are only open to US citizens. I have a brother who lives in Costa Mesa California, does that count? Can I use his address? My daughter and I would love to enter the bathroom concert series but can't. I could only post a comment this indirect way. Don't forget us here in Canada since you have a huge following. (I'm sure you know that though) You give us laughter when there is very little these days to laugh about.

Best wishes always, and it goes without saying that I love your show and watch every chance I get,

Alicia Sinukoff,

Dear Ellen: I live in "CANADA" and wonder why you never hear about people from here on your show or getting free giveaways or gifts. It would be nice if you called someone from here and talk to us. I tryed to send you an e-mail or write to you but you have to fill out information that only Americans can do like zip code or state. I sure hope you read this like you say you do. I have some ideas I want to share with you.
Love from "CANADA" Judy

Hi Ellen,
Last march you went to Universal in Orlando, I remember watching the show you did there but for the life of me I can't remember which rides or what you said you liked the best. I am taking my husband, father and my 3 year old son this March because you made it look like so much fun. Do you know if you will be there again this year? We hope so. Well got to go, hope you will be taping your show there again this year and maybe we will see you there. Love your show. Kim Crosty

Hi Ellen

Just to say I became a fan of yours after watching if these 'walls could talk' with Sharon Stone which i would still like to get a copy of, it's funny but at the opening of the Oprah Leadership Academy my partner and I were watching all the procession of every one getting onto the golf carts for the tour of the school (and as we only live a block from the school and had done the tour we didn't bother) you were passing and kept staring at us both and then looking back it's funny how one recognises 'family'. All the best for your marriage and the show.

Hey Ellen, I wanted to let you know that the idividuals that I serve in a group home just love your show. After they get home and have their snack, I turn Ellen on. They love to watch you dancing and like the games you play. One of my ladies who really isn't into TV, will watch your whole show. I want to thank you for brighting up their afternoon as well as mine--Paula

Hello Ellen my name is Vickie Moreland and I'm from Kokomo Indiana. I love and tape your show everyday and the first thing I do when I get home from work is watch it. The only day I am home to sit down and watch it is on Mondays. I am in awe at the generous spirit you have and your gift of helping those in need. I got such joy from watching your show during the holidays and how you danced with HOT TODDY. I live alone and you and your show are the highlight of my day. We live in such a stressful world sometimes but your one hour a day keeps us all smiling. P.S. I hope you catch George Clooney.
Sincerely,
Vickie

Ellen,
I just have to say that I have 4 kids, ages 10,8,4 months, and a 3 year old daughter that takes over the t.v all day, everyday with the exception of your show. I have to fight and hear her yell at me when I put it on. Maybe one day you can dress up like SpongBob Squarepants so I can go one day without getting yelled at. (just a thought)
Thanks for giving me an hour a day to get away from SpongBob and Tom and Jerry.
I look forward to your show everyday because it's time I'm not thinking about work or the daily stresses of life.
Keep up the good work.
P.S
Even my husband likes to watch your show, so that gives us at least an hour of together time, and lord knows with kids, that doesn't happen often.

Much love and Best wishes from Utah.

Ellen, I know you're thinking, another comment about how wonderful, funny, loving, caring, pretty, and an all around great person you are. You're right!!!!! I love watching your show and I don't miss a day. Well, I missed last season, but only because my network didn't carry it. So I missed everything that season. I suffer from depression and believe me when I say, that was a BAD year! I didn't get to laugh daily like I do when I watch you. No matter how my day has been, you always make me happy. Thank you so very much for being you. I am a very dedicated fan. Most shows are routine, but nope, not you. Never know what to expect is going to happen. Thank you again for bringing joy to everyone. Oh yeah, every now and again, let out an Owl sound. I love to hear Tony laugh. I really love when people make you laugh.

#1 FAN, Christal from Charlotte,Tn.

I think I have some bad news for your George watch. He is supposed to be here in St Louis filming a movie. I'm not sure how long he will be here but if there is anything I can do to help you on this end, let me know.

Hi, I know how excited we all are now that President Elect O'Bama will be taking office and with his current Inagrial Exceptance comes a very expensive party.
As I have read recently it appears he has already had an enourmous out reach of donations, of course, but I was thinking in light of your new way of thinking in all areas of this magical world and man, wouldn't it be great if they didn't have a huge very expensive party and instead did something useful with that money.
I'm certainly not saying don't celebrate but does it have to be another LOOK AT ME I'M A HUGE SUPPORTER OF PRESIDENT O'BAMA'S. I think it would be awsome of President Elect Barack O'Bama to start his presidency with the first example of what our goverment needs most of all, Humility, honesty, community.

Thanks for your time,

Ellen,
Love your show I watch or tape it all the time. You do the craziest things. Like to watch the bungee cord pull with the apples. Would really like to come to your show sometime. Get a kick out of it when you talk to Gladys.

Keep it up the entertainment is great. Much better than other shows.

When I was little I use to watch Walter Cronkite and remember thinking how boring he was and now I wish I/we had him back. He told the news without enforcing his opinion and treated the public with respect to form their own opinion(s) with the facts. You are definitely not boring however I just want to thank you for treating us your viewers with respect and for bringing laughter, fun, knowledge and hope into our lives. It nice to have a show that gives your information, opinions without being preachy and keeps it real. You are gifted woman thanks for sharing with us.

Just want to let you know my mother and I think your show is FANTASTIC! Mom (80 years old) decided it was time for an adventure in life and we decided to sell our flower farm in Indiana and build an Adobe home in Corrales, New Mexico.
Have you ever thought of doing a show, or a segment in New Mexico? (Balloon Festival time in Sept/Oct. is amazing). We'd pick you up in our vintage 53 Chevy's!

Hope to see you in the Land of Enchantment soon.
