It's all out of tone, and I've seen many kids at this age playing a lot more musical! she is definitely not a prodigy, please look out utube, there are way more kids at her age that really play very well!!!!!
I agree that she is a sweet girl, but she is in no way a violin prodigy. The concerto she played is one that most 6 years olds start learning in the Suzuki program, and her sense of pitch and style are in no way advanced for a girl of her age.
I was finally able to see the clip of the show. Briana played very well but is very typical of other Suzuki students. I will say that although she plays well and is very personable she should be left to be herself instead of coaxed and rehearsed on what to say and to wear something appropriate for a tv show not a gala. By the way, how much did the parents pay to get her on as she's not the "7 yr old child prodigy" she plays just like other Suzuki students for those of us that know the program?
Hey Ellen
Love Brianna Kahane
Love her performance

Nice playing. But a prodigy??? Check out the Suzuki Method. This is a typical piece played at that age and younger. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Hope she will continue playing and growing as a musician.
Absolutely amazing! Hard to imagine that one so young possesses so much talent, poise, innocence and sweetness. Kudos to you, Brianna, and to your family.
Brianna Rocks!! What a great performance and amazing talent. I am sure your performance will be an inspiration to others. Brianna, you are already a "star" Good Job!
omg!!!
Amazing!!!! Opus 118 was on the news tonight from Harlem. They are good too!!!!
The violin is a beautiful soulful musical stringed instrument!
It is like telling a story!
I love Brianna's story... her young life! and her violin's musical story I heard and look forward to perhaps seeing her years from now or sooner whichever comes first!
Brianna is amazing! The Kahanes should be so proud of her! I am sure she will have an amazing career ahead of her!

Brianna - the pure love of music shines on your sweet little face as you are playing. God has given you an unbelievable talent & it's so wonderful to see you sharing it with the world. May you go far little one! God Bless you, and please come back to Ellen's show soon to play for all of us that so enjoyed your music! Loved your cat too!!
You did a fine performance. Just curious does Brianna live a kid's life or confined to practicing music?
I hope Brianna continues with her talent, and sees butterflies and flowers always.
Ellen, My Mom and I were laughing so hard at your joke....that is one of our family favorites and still is. It is amazing how often the time or # 2:30 comes up.
Brianna, you are such a beautiful little girl with such a special gift. I applaud your mom and dad for investing so much in your future and really listening to your heart! I look forward to the fame that I am sure is ahead for you.
Two things: One- She's very good at the violin, Two- When they first showed the picture of her and her cat on the ellen show I thought her cat was like a giant bunny.
Brianna's performance was just phenomenal! And she's just as sweet and charming as the notes she coaxes from her instrument. Ellen, please bring back Brianna to your show soon so we can learn more about this astounding young lady!
