Gladys we love ya honey whoever ya are! I have never seen one that didn;t make me smile or just feel good! And when you said "I love Jesus buy I drink a little" I was an instant fan.
KEEP ON KEEPIN ON!
PS- Tell Floyd to look alive!
XOXO
Angels are everywhere.
Kris, Scott Hardy IS Gladys Hardy. You've been had. LOL. You are right: his grandmother's name is Gladys (or was...I heard she passed away, but I'm not certain of that part), but even if she is still living, she is not the one calling in. He is. Scott is cool, though. Too bad he can never appear on Ellen's show as his character. He totally deserves the attention his "Gladys" characterization is getting.
Actually you guys are wrong about Gladys. I just took a MSF Course in Austin from Scott Hardy, and he mentioned that Gladys from Ellen was his GRANDMOTHER, and a woman taking the class also knew her personally.
PLEASE put up the show from Friday Feb 26th when Gladys said something about having to put a bra back on! All of us like to die laughing!! LOL! LOL!!
Glad you are still calling her, or who ever she is- it's just hilarious.
Thank you Ellen! Love you on Idol!
I have watched Gladys numerous times on the Ellen show. I have laughed to the point of tears. However,,I recently found out that she is a hoax and that makes me sad. There are many funny REAL older people that would love to be on the Ellen Show. I really think that they should stop calling her until they know if she is real or not.
Just wanted to let you know I am ordering more of the "I Love Jesus, but I drink a little" t-shirts for the womens church retreat. The woman love them and all want one since they saw mine. See what Gladys has started. lol I Love Gladys... and the Saints.
Ellen, please call Gladys from Austin. Real or not, this is the funniest stuff ever. It has been awhile since I heard her voice. Being from Louisiana and living in Texas now, I know people like that and I bet you do too. I'm 63 and one of these days, I am going to see your show. When I feel down, I watch one of your taped shows and immediately say to myself, "This is the best stuff on tv". Love you girl!
PS I drove to Natchitoches(my home town) to watch the Saints win the Super Bowl. It was wonderful!!! Louisiana is so proud. They finally have something to brag about besides you now.
HI Ellen,
Why don't you play some retro music in the beginning of your show when you do the dancing?
Why not the kind of disco song ... "Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance...."
You know mix it up a bit!
Have fun / I do :-)
Dear Ellen,
I recently lost my partner of 20 yrs to cancer. It was most difficult at times. We managed to laugh our way through a lot of it. On the days that were harder to laugh,we knew that if we could just hang on until 11:AM,we would see your smiling, happy face. You never let us down. I just wanted to thank you, & say that laughter truly is the best medicine. Because of our experience, I'm changing my life so that I can work with hospice patients & families. Much love & appreciation to you. Cindy
Gladys is so so so funny! Personally I don't give a flip as to "who" Gladys is. Some people obviously come here with an axe to grind.
Gladys=Gladness
Well, if Gladys was real, she'd be over 90 by now. She was supposed to be 88 when she first called in 2007. I've seen enough information here and there to convince me that Gladys is actually a guy, probably the Scott Hardy mentioned below. I checked his My Space and he seems like a decent guy who like animals. (He supports some kind of animal rescue organization). So if he wants to make some fun for us as a peppy old lady, more power to him. I just close my eyes and imagine a tough old biddy chatting it up with Ellen. Some people might be a little bummed by it,though, which I could understand. If Ellen actually visited "Gladys", it would clear things up, wouldn't it?
What? Gladys is not real? She's not an 88-year old woman from Texas? I'm so sad. But her (or his) conversations with Ellen are still really funny. I'm just kinda disappointed to discover that she's not real.
