I am a 34 yr old full time working mother that just started watching your show. I have been going through a few things in the past few weeks: my husband lost his job, my teenage son decided that he would move out, and so on. That's not why I am writing to you. I have never been a "couch potato". (Never really watched television much at all) I took a night shift job at the hospital to keep us from drowning. Being the bread winner was never anything that I would've imagined at all. I have to be honest when I say that depression just silently crept upon me. One morning after getting home from work, I turned the television on and there you were.....dancing and singing! I stopped, sat down, and started to watch your show. The feeling that I felt was different! I found myself smiling. Then I cried. Then I started smiling again! (I'm crying now) Ellen, God does things for a reason. I am so grateful for what you do. I run home now and try and catch your show. I still have things that I'm dealing with: finances, teenager drama. But I have to be honest when I say that 'meeting you via television in your absence helped me and is continuing to help me each day. Thanks!

As for me, I only wish to give and do more for our less fortunate brothers and sisters this 2009. You've always been an inspiration to me. You're so big on giving back and sharing your blessings to others. Hats off to you! I quit my job mid of last year hoping to make a difference and not just live for myself. It's tough financially for my family but I'd rather be doing something worthwile than having money but miserable. I take this saying to heart, we shouldn't live for our self alone, life is a reciprocal exchange. As I carry out this mission I hope to fulfill my God given destiny. Ellen, you may use me and abuse me if you have any community service job for me. More power!

I don't usually like re-runs but i can always watch a repeat Ellen show. I celebrated my 5 year anniversary that i quit smoking this New Years. woo hoo! I already go to the gym so thats out so for this year my resolution was to let more stuff just rool off. But its like ever since i made that resolution everyones pushing my buttons. it's like buying a new car and my licence plate says "please hit me". But i always stick to my guns and keep on keepin on. so im gonna try this calm, relaxed, easy going attitude and see if it makes me feel better about all the hectic things going on in my life that i can't change. The best way to do that is to make people laugh.Which always makes me feel better. But you already knew that. hope you got a kick out of the pic i sent you of the festive sweater i made for x-mass. And happy new year to you and your wife.
I normally don't ask for anything especially extreme things. However, I have worked hard for the things I have and sacrifice things for myself to get for others or provide for my son. Right now he is in need of braces and I can't afford that. I am don't have much confidence in myself and would like to have much more. I am asking for something I have tried to save for, for a very long time, but every time I get any money saved something happens and I have to use it. I would like to have a tummy tuck, breast lift, laser hair removal and maybe something done with my scars on my neck/face. I would like to have all this done and get my son's braces otherwise he is going to have to have more extreme measures done later. If you can help me I would really appreciate it.

Your wardrobe is hott! I love the way you dress. My girlfriend thinks you should start a clothing line or open a store of some sort. She likes to be comfy, wouldn't be caught dead in a dress, but still likes to be stylish...just like you! Ellen, you so totally rock. Congrats on the nuptials, maybe we'll get rights in Texas someday.

Ellen, I Love Your Wardrobe.I never wear Dresses either.You always look very nice. I wear Jeans & Sweatshirts all of the time. Do You have a Sweatshirt with your Photo on it? If so wear it sometime.OK. I would Love one. I watch Your show everyday. You are so funny & It helps My day start of with a Laugh.The World needs more People like You. Keep up the good work. Glad You & Portia had wonderful Hollidays.
