Who's That with Ellen?

Answer: Kenny Chesney

He originally had dreams of becoming a star athlete, but eventually determined that he was too short.

One of his nicknames is "Hillbilly Rock Star."

He used to sleep on a couch in his tour bus that he called the "Iron Lung."

He is rarely seen without a cowboy hat.

My husband and I are grandparents in our late 70's and we are now both retired. We have become avid viewers of your show. Congratulations on your marriage. I've tried to go online to qualify for the giveaways, but it wasn't meant to be, I guess. Nevertheless, we wish you and Portia and families the happiest holidays and a healthy New Year. Thank you so much for your great show and the many laughs that brighten up our days. G-d bless you. Mindy Goodkin.

i really think you are great!all the things you
do! but the correct way to say des allmands,la
is [dez almonds]. i thought that was so funny
because its not that far from new orleans lol.
like i said you really do so great keep doing what ya doing

I make sure every day that when I am hine I watch you. I was afraid that it would be a tough time with Oprah on the other station, but it surely has not affected you. I would love to see you in person, but I guess that won't happen. I hate flying and you are so far away from here. But I get a better seat at home in the living room. We get our cocktails and dance with you anyways. Thanks for being who you are.

Hi Ellen,

I have been a fan of yours for a long time. This has been a very rough two years for me. I have had a hard time keeping a job and have gone through almost all of my savings. I cry everyday except for when I watch you on your show. Thank you for being you! You really do the best you can to bring joy and a little laughter to everyone. You have a good heart and I wish you and all those you care for a very happy holiday.

with love
Sharon

Dear Ellen,

I just wanted to say that I love your show and I think that you are doing a great job. But I was dissappointed when I could not enter for the 12 days of give aways, because I live in Canada. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year. Keep up the great work.

God Bless,

Josephine

Dear Ellen and Raychel,
I feel for Raychel. (the posted statement on December 16) I too am 35 years old and have a 16 year old son that gets A's and B's in school and we are in the same situation. It is the economy. Worst yet, I own my own business and can not even afford to give my employees a full paycheck. Bills are gathering up at home and at my business. I am so stress and try not to let my son know. It is not his responsibility and he does not need to have the worries at his age it is hard enough to attend high school, be active in sports and tring to decide what collage to atttend that fit their needs. You see my son is also awesome and great. I adore him so much. He does everything I ask with no if, and's or but's about it. He brighten my days when we are together. He asks for very little and deserves everything. I guess what I am saying is hang in there GOD will get us through and REMEMBER you are not the only one going through hard times.
God Bless you and your family and all the other families out there that are struggling.

Hi Ellen
I love watching your show, I love watching you dance. I was wanting to know I know you help alot of people. My parents both passed away when I was three from cancer my whole life I've had to struggle. Now being a divorce mother of three I lost my job two weeks ago could you help my kids have a good Christmas? I have no family to help me I watch your show and I know how generous you are all the time and people like you are hard to find. I certainly would appreciate anything you do to help my family at this very desperate time.

Thank You
Tracey Rechtorik

Ellen...I just want you to know how many times you show has been the only time during the day that I laugh...Thank You!!!

I have one question...why don't you ever send the money machine to small towns? I realize that you probably get a bigger crowd in a large town but really you can only see so many people on those shots anyway, right??? So, how about coming to "small town" america sometimes? We watch you too!!

Thanks and keep it coming....You literally make my day most of the days!!!

Hiya Ellen
Just want to thank you for making a bad week bearable. Lost 2 very good friends within 8 days. We burried one on Sunday and the funeral for the other one is on Thurs. You help turn my tears to laughter. Love your show, your dancing and all of your guest.
Thanks again for all you do.

Hi Ellen. I just wanted to stop by and say your show is one of the best. My husband and I watch your show while I am getting him off to work. Are you honestly as happy as you seem to be? Are you really that high on life all the time? I guess you have your bad days too. We all do, but some how we all get through. We just need to stop and think of all the things that we need to be thankful for, and not always think we have it so bad. If you just stop and think for a minute you can always think of quite a lot that you have that others might not have. When I get extremely low I remind myself that things could be so much worse than what they are, and somehow that helps. Anyway, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your show and to say Happy Holidays to all...

Hey Ellen, first congrats on your marriage. I love watching your shows, you put my problems on the back burner for an hour and its great!!! I am a single 37 year old mom with a great 17 year old son. I was laid off this morning, right before christmas and this has been the worst holidays for us because we have been struggling so bad as a single mom. It hurts me so much because my son is such a good son, he has A's and B's in school, he keeps busy with sports and never asks for anything. He sees me worry and cry and tries so hard to lift my spirits. I am asking for your help to give him a great christmas. He is into PS3 games, he is #1 fan for Italy Pro Soccer Team and is the BIGGEST Dallas Cowboy fan. I have had to pawn our laptop, appliances to keep our utilities on for another 2 weeks. I will work for it, I will help the community in exchange, just if you could please help me give my boy a decent christmas, I will ask God above to help me bless you with thanks. The Economy is so bad and trying to get a job in this town is hard right now.We have been taking walks to collect cans. We are about to be evicted from our trailer and I feel like a failure as a mom because my son has been the best son for and to me. He is leaving to the Navy in a year and my days with him right now I try to make about he and I. Im sure you probably wont read this but I pray that you will!!! Thank you Ellen and God Bless All that you do!!

I love you Ellen, even if you are married now!!! Congrats by the way.
But what I was wondering is simple.....I always seem to see a few guys in your audience, but for as long as I have been watching, how come they never get called to participate in the games and such....???!!!!

Have a good day, and here's to you and yours for a wonderful, warm, and happy holiday season.
Merry Christmas!!!
xo - Renee'
