My sisters husband has been laid off and she is taking care of my brothers 2 children and has 3 of her own. Im struggling everyday so I cant help her out to buy Christmas gifts. Like so many others I am a huge fan of yours, I record your show everyday so that I don't miss an episode, in fact I have my son addicted to your show as well. You are an awesome and caring person and I have never in my life seen a more caring, generous person. The reason I am writing to you is in hopes that you might help me out with something, I don't know what else to do, my 16 year old son has asked us for an X Box 360 for Christmas, my husband and I had intended on trying to get him one because he does not have his very own game system, other than a Nintendo DS which cannot really be played with friends, if he were to have any over. My sons name is D.J. and he is a good kid that does great in school, he does all kinds of sports in school and I would just really like to see him get something nice for Christmas this year. Like everyone else we are financially strapped this year, my husband who has Cron's Disease,and is diabetic and has to take insulin 4 times a day works 6 days a week - 10 hour days. I was working full time outside the home but my husband and I have taken in our precious 15 month old grand daughter, Derriana that we just adore until my daughter gets back on her feet and so I had to cut my days down to 3 days a week at work. We received a letter from our mortgage company (because we are behind on our mortgage as well)that basically if they did not receive enough money from us to catch us up on our house payments by December 25th then they were going to start foreclosure proceedings on our house. We can't lose our house but there is no way we can afford to get caught up on our house payments, and give my son & grand daughter a decent Christmas. I just didn't know where to turn and I am sorry but it just breaks my heart to not be able to give my son the main thing that he asked for and has wanted for so long. If you can help I would be forever grateful to you, if not I really do understand. I imagine that you get quite a bit of letters like this from people who are going through the same things. I cannot remember a talk show that I have enjoyed more than yours.Between the jokes you tell and the games you have the contestants play, I find myself laughing for most of the hour. It really gives me somethign to look foward to every afternoon. Thank you very much

Hi Ellen, I do love your show and appriciate all that you do for those who sit in your audience and in the Riff Raff room. Although I can not afford to take time off work, let alone even get a ticket to see you, I do feel for those who sit and watch you day after day and wish they can get some of those things you give away daily. I understand you do have contests, but only some out of thousands get that opportunity. I would love it it some of those beautiful gifts you give away on your show can go to hospitals, for kids, or for the parents who have to leave their work to stay with their children. I am sure some of those audience members can do without some of those, wouldn't mind giving themselves to a better cause.....just a thought.
