Hey, you should of seen the owl in my son's backyard last Sunday, we got to watch it swoop down and get a mouse and sit in a pine tree and have dinner, my grand kids were fascinated and the owl was beautiful. We all starting talking to her, just like you, who, who, only in Ojibwe...it was soo much fun.

OMG, I just started wearing my jeans like that last week! I bought them at a resale shop in Milwaukee, WI, that sells almost all clothing for $1.50. Really, a $1.50. They're from Old Navy and in great shape. I'm 5'9", and since they're a long, I have to cuff them if I wear low-heeled shoes, which is something I've rarely had to do in my life. I felt really cool going out with the cuff last week. I'm 40-something and haven't cuffed my jeans since the 80's.

P.S. Ellen, you won't believe the nice clothes they have at this shop. I could do a live shopping report. I'm currently unemployed, so I totally have the time. Or, I could do some shopping there and you could fly me out to your show for a thrift/resale shopping segment. It's up to you. Whatever. Let me know.

I have a few jeans I cuff. I did something really weird..bizzare to my left index finger. It swelled up. I booked an appointment. The doc entered the room and I said, "Hi doc!" (no I didn't say whats up doc! crunching a carrot .. that would been hella funny!!! LOL) I crack myself up! Anyway... he looked at my finger and suggested I do the buddy system. So my index finger and my second finger and again.. I crack myself up and I say to myself.. "Self!... naming my fingers Index and Flippy.. or Flipper are going to be chummy!" Corny.. I know. Indexter.. or Index and Flipper is a fish.. and flipper is another name for naughty finger.. so I stuck with Flip were chummy till Saturday eve where I had had enough of this chumminess. My finger was stiff! ANyway back to the docs office after he said to tie together.. buddy system.. I said, "So I shouldn't do finger excercises?" When I said this I was moving my right index finger in the finger up point down up point down..and 1,2,3, up, point, down. And the doc was laughing at me.. I was serious!!! LOL.. NO.. I wasn't serious but the doc thought it was hillarious!!!! LOL The doc said, "No rest.. plenty of rest. If it the swelling doesn't go down by the end of the week... see me and we'll take an x-ray." Darn... I was sooo wanting an x-ray or at least an MRI. So I am typing as normal. I asked if I should ice it.. doc said.. no not going to help at this point. The doc was older.. very wise! He knew the fait of my finger! He knew. I was panic mode. I need my finger... every one of 'em. Its my bread and butter!... my livelihood. I had a little pain this morning and I still can't make a tight fist but I'm not pushing it. I don't remember how my finger got injured.. just I looked down and it was swollen. Doctors are great. The best! He didn't say.. look listen lady... you've jammed .. sprained your finger.. that's all. He was very kind and could have called me stupid and didn't.. or even hypochondriac! Which I'm not. I just needed to find out... its my life... I type a lot at work. So I feel better now. I'm thankful its not broken.. but am careful with it. I found that index fingers do a lot! Its hard to blow your knows without one.. hard to squeeze tooth paste out.. hard to floss.. impossible almost. I'm glad its not broken. Well.. Ellen.. that's my major drama around here! Love your show. I had to update you on my finger! Thought maybe you'd enjoy a bit from my life. Its kinda funny. Happy Monday! Loved your show with Brian Williams. I too watch him every night. Love Nightly News. He is sooo easy to look at. I agree with Barack... no girly dog. And of course a shelter dog if they get ... won't be girly as it will be ready to take care of life.. whatever comes.. tough dogs and very greatful dogs at that!!!! Beyonce' was on fire!!!
