I Love all animals I walk my dog and my cats wants to join us. I love em. I think that Michael Vick should pay to all shelters a third of his paycheck FOR LIFE for his gready actions. Shame on Michael Vick

Love you
Marco

thank you

i too have followed Dogtown i love the show and the work that they have done thanks for acknowledging there work keep up the great work Best Friends and Ellen

I think what he does is WONDERFUL! Last summer I rescued a pitbull. She had no hair, her body was badly bruised and she had scabs and sores all over her body. Me and the vet I worked for assumed she was used as a "bait" dog. She had recently had puppies (they were not with her) so we took x-rays and she is covered in buck shot all over her back side. I also have a 4 month old and she absolutely LOVES my little boy. Now that I have a pitbull it makes me so angry when people tell me that she will turn on me. I know she never will because she's in a place where she's LOVED and taken VERY good care of! I wish I could rescue more, but three dogs is all I can handle right now. Thank you so much for sharing his story.

Thank you for having John Garcia on your show. I've been following this story about the pitbulls from day one. I've watched dogtown ever since it came on tv. John is extrodinary with the pits. My family has had pits and they make excellent pets. They are very loyal and loving. The problem with pits are people, esp. people like Michael Vicks. Vicks should have all his teeth removed like Georgia. Keep up the good work and may God bless you. Velma Massachusetts

I have also been a Best Friends fan and supporter for years. This organization is the "real thing." There is no hidden agenda with this organization. The work they do is so very important and done with absolute love and compassion for the animals that they care for.

Thank you Ellen for using your forum to bring more attention to this wonderful organization. I hope that more people will follow in your footsteps and find it in their hearts to make donations on a regular basis.

I have always dreamed of saving animals. I helped save a horse last year. I have a huge heart and this is an amazing place. I just said to my husband last night, that I want to get a dog(zeus my baby 145lb rottie passed away in june 2007) My only concern now is that i have children. As much as i trust and love animals, are these pets ok around children? I guess it probally is different with each. I would love to give one of those pitbulls a home. We raised 9 pitbull/boxer puppies when i was a child, I have always seen the good in pitbulls, and other breads that most people are scared of.

I love Best Friends, and have been a huge fan for years. I work in the canine behavior field, and while I love all breeds, I have a special place in my heart for pitties and other "bully" breeds. I do bully and molosser breed rescue, and started really following and supporting Best Friends when they took in the Vick Pit Bulls. I really think they're helping to change the stereotypes that these breeds face, and that couldn't make me any happier! The phenominal work they do is extremely time consuming and selfless, please help support them!

I really disagree about pitbulls being agressive and that they have a history of being aggresive. people caused the dogs to fight in the first place. the dogs are trained to fight. I had pitbulls growing up and never did they bite a person in the years that we had them. Just because some people dont care about animals and decide to fight them for money or reputation doesnt make the animal at fault.

Thank you so much for doing this segment. I have been a supporter of Best Friends for about 10 years now and they are truly one of the most inspiring rescues and have done amazing things for the "no kill" policy. Hopefully someday all rescues can implement their goals.

I've been a Best Friends fan and supporter for years. They are the best and do not give up on any animal. They give me hope that some day, all our companion animals will be safe and loved.
