Charla and Kristen~ you both did such a great job on the show- you have the cutest personalities! Obviously, I've watched and re-watched it a few times since I got to be on that episode too. I was the 899/900 episodes girl that Ellen flew in.( Did I ACTUALLY do a double thumbs up on national television?!) When I got to the airport in Las Vegas to see Ellen's show, my brother in law was standing there waiting for me with his thumbs up, and a sign w/ my last name on it, the way Ellen's cue card had my last name spelled out on it. And of course the sign had two thumbs up on it. And every time I ask someone a question, I get a thumbs up for a response.I shall forever be teased for that! Charla, it was great to see you/talk to you again in Vegas! And congratulations on your news!! I had a lot of fun w/ you two on the show! Congrats to both of you!

Hi everyone who watched the Ellen 900th show and wanted me to win the car...THANK YOU! I am writing you from Vegas now and Janel and I are having a blast...Ellen paid for everything. She is truly a gem.

The day of the show I was sitting at home dealing with my newly discovered morning sickness caused the expectancy of my first child. I was invited down to the show by my girlfriend, Janel, and was very surprised when I got called to be a contestant. I had no expectations at all. As for not winning the car, I was actually laughing behind my hands...not whining or wimpering. I know that she never lets anyone leave without at least a consulation prize and was just fine with the chance to even be on stage with her. Not to mention, I actually have two cars, one of which is a brand new car that I just got in March of this year...so I didn't need the car. I was VERY happy that this young nursing student won the car.

Again, writing to you from Vegas as we head to pick up our tickets for the tapping of Ellen's comedy show tonight. Oh and btw, she invited us to the sold out tapping of Ellen's Even Bigger Really Big Show last night and it was really fantastic! It felt like we had a chance to see pieces of every show in Las Vegas. You have to check it out!

Thanks again to the supporters as well as those who didn't support! Life is about having fun and enjoying every second God gives you...Ellen proves this to you everyday.

Ciao!

I am so happy for Chris I am one of the waitresses that serve her parents and her at their favorite restaurant and I can't wait to see her to celebrate this moment with her, I can't believe she was fighting with that girl for the can. Congrats.

I was sad that the other girl didn't win the car i think she was heartbroken that she lost and maybe could have really used a new car.i know she got to go to vegas but maybe thats not what she wanted.a trip to vegas is a far cry from getting something you really need.i know you are a very generous person and seen you give 2 people the same prize and i thought this would happen for her too.

She was sad. : ( If she watches the show, she shold know that nobody ever goes home empty handed. : )

Ellen,
It's hard to put into words the way you and show uplifts my spirits everyday. I am a 56 yr old gay women,I have been in a relationship for 10yrs. In May of 2008 I was strickened with Dermatomyositis which is a muscular disease. It angered me at first but then it occured to me this is where I am supposed to be in my life and I will get thru this.My partner has been working her full time job while doing research on this disease and helping me with my physical activities. My point about all this is everyday I watch your show it brings a sincere smile to my face and I feel fortunate to have my patrner in my life and that you have one of the best shows on TV. You do so much for people it has restored my faith and beliefs that there are compassionate, kind and considerate people in this world. Thank you for being the woman that you are.

Hi Ellen:

I too was upset by the way the other contestent reacted to loosing the car. What poor sportsmanship that was!

Keep on Laughing Ellen....your laugh alone keeps me smiling!

Ellen YOU MAKE MY WIFE LAUGH SO HARD!!!!!! Thank you for this. In these times it is hard to find the laughter but everyday you do it. My wife was let go from a well paying job and the stress brought out an autoimmune disease that has held her captive. I have had four failed spine surgeries.
We may lose everything but you helped to bring laughter and smiles back to us. Please never stop doing what your doing and God bless you!!!!!!!!I MEAN IT

Just wondering what the name of the song is when Ellen dances down the aisle at the beginning of her 900th show???

What the heck?
First, I watched the reaction from the other woman who lost and I was appauled! I had to rewind the DVR and watch again. She really was pouting. It seems there are so many ppl either on the show or "fans" who only WANT from Ellen. If you are a "fan" of Ellen, then you would know that she always gives a gift to the runner up(s).
I have never seen anyone react so selfishly and not be happy for the other person. They may have faked it, but it looked good. Ellen is here to entertain us, she does not have to "buy" us. How many other talk show hosts give away as much as Ellen does? No one. So is that why ppl claim to be such fans? Cause they want something from her? I cannot believe when I read ppl give their hard luck stories or even be so bold as to ask for things. Ellen is a gracious person. Because of that she probably lives apprehensively around ppl. Not knowing whether these ppl like her for Ellen or for what she can give. Lets hope she doesn't have to feel the same way about her fans.!

I think on the 900th show it would have been great if they both could have won the car. It made me sad how crestfallen the other woman was when she didn't win the car. In this economy winning a car is a huge deal...

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLEN......your show is extremely entertaining and it caters for everyone. Keep up the great work and hopefully we will all be around for 100s more
