Shriners is such a great place. A lot of good. I too almost teard up Ellen! Its ok. Crying shouldn't be a bad thing.. it lets us know and others watching that we care and have a loving heart... nothing bad about that.

Loved this segment. Got me laughing. I laugh at myself.. I do stupid things sometimes.. scare myself and this is only going to get worse with age!!! LOL So many laughs to look forward too!!!!

ON a serious note theirs a child here in my area that was on the news the other night. He's dying from Lukemia, he's 9. He saw the homeless camp that our mayor has been running them out from place to place and they found refuge at this church and I don't know if they are still there or some other place but they need a place to live too and this child saw them and cried when he talked about how he wanted to feed 'em. Don't give 'em all peanut butter and jelly sandwiches 'cause some of 'em might have a peanut allergy so give 'em half pbj and half meat sandwiches. He is well above some adults and that makes me tear up. I was thinking the other day that the writer who wrote Peter Pan had it all right. What if we never grew up and the town was run by kids. This world would be a better place if it was run by kids. If you give kids delegative power it will surprise you of what they come up as for a solution. Will Smith does this with his kids. Theirs a ..well was I don't know if its showing anymore or not but the premise was to let kids loose and create a kids society from scratch.. kid town or something like that.

Maybe if we adults were close to death we too would think a lot differently.

It was great to see you and Justin at the Shriner's Golf Tournament this year and seeing the clip today brought back fun memories. We were so excited to get to see JT and getting to see you there was such a surprise. The whole event was the icing on the cake of a great week in Las Vegas. We had so much fun we're planning to go again next year. Hopefully we'll see you and JT again. Love ya both!

When I didn't think it could get any better...you step up to the golf course and make me laugh harder! I can't wait till we see you in Las Vegas. Justin and you (as always) were so funny! Thank you for being so great... I appreciate you so much, and also, who ever the nice person was that picked my name and gave me 4 tickets to see you in Las Vegas. You suddenly know who your family is when you win something!!! My Sisters and my Cousin can't wait to have Girls time in Sin City!! I will owe you! Thanks-again.
Sherry
P.S. When we are at your taping in Vegas, when you dance, could you play some thing from the late 60's, early 70's, I could really dance to the great groups
back then...

Our son is a patient at the Shriners Hospital and we want to say a huge thank you for your part in the golf tournament. Putting the spotlight on these amazing hospitals is so important since many people don't know about them or what they do. Our son broke 14 bones in his first month of life. This left us as new parents extremely scared and without much hope for his future. Something as small as rolling him onto his side broke his arm and the medical community in Saskatchewan didn't have any answers other than to be careful with him. His diagnosis of brittle bone disease was very serious and he was extremely fragile. Since being referred to the Shriners Hospital in Montreal at seven weeks old, he has not broken a single bone and he is now almost two years olf! They give him a bone building treatment every eight weeks and he is set for surgery at the end of this month to put metal rods into his femurs. This little boy that broke at the slightest touch is now crawling everywhere, going up and down stairs, and will possibly even walk after this surgery. None of this would have been possible without the Shriners Hospitals with their research and treatment. Everything is free of charge to all patients and fundraisers like the golf tournament will continue to allow many more lives to be changed by these incredible people. The segment on your show was so funny and our hearts were filled with such gratitude and thanks as we watched. As our son stands at the coffee table yelling Ellen and dancing along with you, we will always be reminded of what you did. The impossible is possible because of angels like you!

With deepest appreciation,
The Brown Family
