Shes ha a tough couple of years.....Shes the best mom ever and i think she could use a break. The money would help her alot with the funeral shes still trying to pay off. Shes the strongest person i have ever known and i think it would cheer her up! thanks alot Ellen

Greetings Ellen,

We love your show ... a shining jewel among today's talkshows!

I am writing not on behalf of myself or my family, but on behalf of someone else that is truly deserving.

Her name is Nicole Starke of Frederica, Delaware. She is my sister-in-law and could use the brand of pick-me-up known as "Ellen". She's been burning the candle at both ends for several years now. Doing all she can to create her ideal family, finish her college education, work full time and now preparing to welcome her first child. Recently she was informed her health insurance would not cover her child birth. And it won't be long before she'll have to take a leave of absence from work to deliver, and soon after embark on finishing her degree internship. Her husband, a fine young man I might add, works full time as well and is doing his best to make ends meet. But, the financial struggle is taking it's tole and just a smiggin of relief would be a blessing.

BLUF:

Please consider Nicole for your "Gold Digger" event, or any other opportunity that might give this young couple a little boost ... Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to give us a holler!!!

Respectfully,
Ben McCallister

Hello Ellen,

I hope that all is going good with you. You certainly have a pleasant spirit and rhythm in your bones beyond compare. Do you choose the songs that you dance to? You have an excellent ear for music, and a unique eye for kicks. I do not have cable, but with my digital television coupon I purchased a converted box so that I can see you clearly. I record your show on my handy-dandy VCR, so whenever I’m not able to watch you, I don’t miss a beat. Congratulations on your 1001 shows, you deserve every minute of airtime for the fans and ‘haters’ to watch you shine. I am writing you because I am interested in participating in the ‘Gold Digger Cage’. I am a single, certified English teacher at 34 years of age. I have a class ‘A’ commercial driver’s license, and I am presently enrolled in the Master’s program at University of Phoenix seeking a degree in Adult Education and Training. I have one child who is presently 16 months old, and a brother who is 19 living in my home. My brother is a graduate of Ramstein High, a military school located in Germany. He left my mother’s home and came to live with me here in Longwood, Florida (a suburb of Orlando), with the hopes of finding employment, and the opportunity to go to college in the states. My mother is a registered labor and delivery nurse, who left Germany and is now stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. As you probably know, Florida is number two behind California in the job market and it has been really rough around hear financially. I have not worked since May of 2007 due to the layoffs and budget cuts in the field of education. I have an excellent driving record and I have searched vigorously for employment of which I have not had much luck. I am registered at all counties within a 60 mile radius for educational opportunities, and my brother and I are registered with Career Builders and Snag-A-Job. I am now considering applying to teach for the military, and praying that something will come through soon. We do not have cash income coming into the household right now, though my brother does receive food stamps, which helps a great deal. My child does not get child support because his father, who lives in Jacksonville, Florida, has been laid off, and there has not yet been an additional extension approved for unemployment benefits. My brother completes 28 hours a week of community service to keep the food flowing in, but assures me there are no jobs available now even in the food service industry because he visits the workforce center weekly. I am not one known for complaining, because I know that all things happen for a reason and Our Father did not bring me this far to leave me. If you have any bright ideas, I am willing to relocate and I am an extremely diligent worker. Contact me anytime your time is greatly appreciated. Take Care, until later… Ciao!

Sincerely,

LaTasha

Thank You Ellen for all the laughs and support you bring to our country. I am writing this for your gold digger contest you see we have had a really hard year so far on Jan. 2 we found out our grandson Robby relapsed with his leukemia one day before his 6th birthday he was only off treatment for 6mon. and has been battling this for 4 years he just had a bone marrow transplant an was in the hospital for over 4month he is now on strict isolation till July. On Feb. 2 my dad became ill from staph infection in his leg after removing his leg he passed 3 weeks later. On March 2 my husband had to have emergency by pass surgery. So far the first 3 months we had 2 family members in the hospital at all times. We have spent so much on medical bills and trips to our local Children's hospital. My grandson took a trip to Disney last year through Make a wish but he wanted to go deep sea fishing Make a wish couldn't grant this so we set it up ourselfs. But when we were there a terrible wind storm brew up and boats could not go out then he relapsed. Now our funds are depleted if he gets better I would love to be able to take him somewhere special and be able to witness the smile in his eyes and the fun he could once again feel. Please send that great gold digger machine you have.

With lots of love and great respect

Ellen,
Please come to Michigan. We are struggling here and could use a fun moment if only for a day. With all the unemployment and loss of homes not to mention the terrible draft picks for our dieing Detroit Lions, we sure could use a boost. I own a small struggling convenience store in Middleville MI. I would love to invite you to come visit our fun, quaint and unemployed community. We appreciate how you bless so many people daily. Thank you for sharing your wealth and we wish you continued success!!!

Dear Ellen,

My name is Audrey McDuffie.I'm a single a parent, with three boys. Two of them in college, and the othere one a junior in high school. I'm very proud of my boys.
Ellen I watch Your show everyday. And I see all the wonderful things you do for people.I was able to pay the money for two years for my older son and only one year for my second son. I have no money left, to help them this year.
The two in college work every summer. But this year one of my son's job close down. I had to tell my third son, that he may not be able to go to college. I'm only working part time now. Ellen I desperately need your help. Thanks for Listening

HI ELLEN,
I'M WRITING TO INQUIRE ABOUT YOU GOLD DIGGER CONTEST. AS MANY FAMILIES ARE STRUGGLING IN OUR COUNTRY MY HUSBAND, DALE AND I ARE ALSO STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY. DALE HAD A HORRIBLE WORK RELATED ACCIDENT ON DECEMBER 9, 2008. HE FELL FROM HIS WORK TRUCK AND SUFFERED A TRAMATIC BRAIN INJURY. HE IS MAKING GREAT PROGRESS BUT WE HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HE WILL BE ABLE TO RETURN TO HIS JOB. DUE TO THE ACCIDENT I WAS TERMINATED FROM MY EMPLOYER BECAUSE I COULD NOT GIVE THEM A RETURN TO WORK DATE FOR MYSELF. HE IS UNABLE TO DRIVE SO I DRIVE HIM TO ALL THERAPY AND DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS. WE HAVE GONE FROM TWO INCOMES TO 66% OF DALE'S INCOME. I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A WAY TO HELP PAY EXPENSES FOR A MONTH OR TWO.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND CONSIDERING US FOR YOUR GOLD DIGGER CONTEST.

WE LOVE YOU & THE SHOW AND YOU ALWAYS MAKE US LAUGH EVEN ON THE REALLY HARD DAYS.

YOU BRING JOY TO THE WORLD, OR AT LEAST TO OUR WORLD.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

SINCERELY,

MARGIE WAGEMAN

Hi Ellen!
Please consider me to play the gold digger game! I am a college student, and have thousands of dollars in debt. I pay for my schooling, housing, food, books, everything on my own and it's been a rough year. I am having trouble trying to balance studying and doing well in school and working enough hours to pay for everything else. A chance to play would make my year! You are so funny! and I really do love your show! Thank you for brightening my day!

Hi ellen i was wondering if you would consider the gold digger for my mom and dad they are so special and they are retired and my brother and i both live with my parents and we are both going through a divorce and are unemployed we are trying to help our parents with their monthly bills we would like the game for them because they raised us with integraty and respect and they would do anything for any one and we love them so much we would like to help them for a change so if you would consider them it would be greatly appriciated sinceraly yours john m doyle

Wow, after reading all the above requests for why they should be picked I just realized how many people are struggling these days, and even a $100 or $200 will go a long way for them.
Well I'm here to sign myself up for the gold digger machine as well, but not so much for me but for my mother. I have been unemployed for about an 1yr now. I've applied for any job possible, from fast food to retail stores. I have about 25k in debt which my non working mother some how scraps up the money for each months bills for me. I do odd jobs for friends like landscaping, painting, baby sitting, making wedding slide shows, when ever the opportunity arrives.

I have a car that was given to me by my parents that I've used for 3 yrs. Its 13yrs old with nearly 200k miles on it, its pretty much dead, with a transmission problem, electric issues where the turn signals don't work, but I take it on the road as there is no choice and just hope it doesn't break down. I travel alot. I live with my brother in Edgewater New Jersey but for my odd jobs I travel where ever. I put about 18-20k miles a yr.

I don't date or haven't dated in 5 yrs. Cause dating means money and I dont have any, plus I live with my older brother in a one bedroom apt so it just wont work out. It's just a misreable feeling not having a job, any achievements in your life or a partner to share your life with. Just bills, and sorry we can't offer you a job.

My mother has never worked, she has always been a house wife but she's really good in saving, and over the yrs she saved a little which she has pretty much spent on me trying to pay my bills months to months.

Well recently in India her brother and older sister are very sick, to a point where they could die any day. She wants to go but I can't afford it, and her saved money has already gone to my bills. My father can't afford to send her right now, so I have started to sell personal items of mine on ebay, camera, watches, clothing, ipods, just about anything I can get value for. I want to get her a ticket to India so she can go visit her family after 5 yrs before anything happens to her siblings.

Because I've been a failure in life I can't let my mother pay for it and not be able to have what might be a last chance to see her brother and sister.
So I would like the opportunity to try my luck at the gold digger to win my mother a trip home to visit her family, and if any saved, pay a little more of my debt or put towards a new car.

And yes I love your show, being jobless and bored all day your show is the most entertaining thing right now in my life. You're down to earth, real, funny and an amazing role model for the gay commuinty!! and for people in general.

Thank you
Sushant

Hey Ellen,
My name's Samantha and I'm 16 years old. My dad was kind enough to take my older sister and her daughter into his home about a year ago to help her get back on her feet, but he was encarcerated about 5 months ago and im living at home with my older sister, Christina, her four-year-old daughter,Jaylynn, and sometimes my younger sister, Mary. Christina lost her job about 4 months ago and is having a pretty hard time finding a new one. Last week, Jaylynn had to have surgery on her eye muscle or something like that and we're having a really tough time paying for everything. Aside from that, her car is a total piece of junk and barely runs, but we don't have the money to buy a new one. Sometimes, I have to stay at friends' houses because we run out of fuel for the heater, and we're always borrowing money from people which I doubt we'll be able to pay back anytime soon. Christina has done more for me than i would ever imagine or expect anyone, especially a 25-year-old with a child, to do, and i can't thanks her enough. That is why i feel that you should bring your big Gold digger truck to my house.
Think about it,
Samantha

PS
i would totally crap my pants if you did

She is the most wonderful person in the world and i want to give her so much but i dont have anything yet(i told her one day ill make millions and ill share) but $2,000 would be like a million dollars to her. PLEASE BRING GOLD DIGGER TO MY MOTHER AND LET HER ESCAPE FROM WORK FOR 5 MINUTES!!!!! THANKS ELLEN. keep on rocking pretty lady!
