I love your show. I usually work when it is on but I have been able to see a few shows. Whatever happened to Stryker? He was so good looking.

i love george clooney, but love johnny bench and joe morgan, too! when i was a little girl, my older brother was a huge Reds fan, and we didn't have a lot of boys in our neighborhood, so he made my sister and i both be a part of his team. i think i was maybe 6 and she was 5. my brother (who was a catcher) played johnny bench (#5) and i was the second baseman - joe morgan (#8) - i remember this because my brother made us uniforms. my little sister was 5, and played 3rd base, i think - she was pete rose. our other two sisters were the St. Louis Cardinals, ted simmons and ted sizemore. we continued to play sports throughout elementary and on to high school. i always played second base, just like Joe Morgan. i laughed out loud when i saw johnny and joe on your show, and it took me back to some great childhood memories. thanks, ellen!
Ellen - I love watching your show and record it every single day so I can watch it at night. BUT what happened to Stryker? Please let us all know. There are a lot of your fans asking this question!
Hi Ellen, I am from Alberta, Canada and I watch your show day after day and really enjoy it. However, I would like to know what happened to Stryker? He had such a wonderful personality.
I live in Laos, SE Asia and watch your show via "Star World" satellite. The shows are never current but apparently we are fairly 'close' now.
So, I am just learning Striker is gone.
I hope it is to great things and with good wishes all around.
Can't you post something on your site. There are many international viewers who watch you out of sequence so an announcement on air really doesn't do it.

I'm sorry that comment for Marie Wilson was so lame. Yes, I would love to see her on your show, but I didn't express why. She is one of the most beautiful, compassionate, wise, wonderful people on the face of the earth. I started watching ATWT because of her about mid December. Between herself and her character on As The World Turns, she has saved my life. I have been in a serious depression since early January, when I lost my baby. By a very strange coincidence, her character miscarried two days after I did. I wrote to Ms. Wilson and expressed my thanks to her for that accurate portrayal of the angst one feels in those moments. She sent me a beautiful picture and a lovely letter. I have been a devout fan ever since. I just kind of stayed in that funk for a very long time. But every time I hit that place at the very bottom and I couldn't find my way out, she was the one person who could lift my spirit, if just long enough for me to get out of my bed. It took me a few times to figure out that when I got that bad that if I would see a clip of her on TV or YouTube, it would make me feel better. There is just something about her that can make anyone feel better. If it weren't for her, I would be cutting again, and quite possibly be dead. I am forever indebted to someone I've never met. I would love to thank her in person, but I don't know that I could thank her enough for the enormity of the way she has touched my life. She is an amazing woman. She is a wife, a mother, a talented actress, she commutes every weekend from New York where she works to LA where her husband and daughter are. She is training to be in the NYC half marathon, she is involved in animal advocacies and children's charities, and she takes the time to write personal letters and pictures to her fans. And that is just the stuff she lets us know about! So I'm sure there is a myriad of things she does we don't know about. These are the things I want people to know about Marie Wilson. She is not recognized nearly enough for the awe inspiring person she is.

Oh for heaven's sake, people, it's SHOW business. Ellen DID say on her show that Stryker left "to pursue other opportunities." Granted, it's not a full explanation, and considering the lack of details (here, on Stryker's MySpace page, and elsewhere), there probably IS more of a story there... But they ain't gonna talk about the details. It's the entertainment business. Enjoy what Ellen does. Enjoy what Stryker does. But for your own sake, get on with your OWN lives.

I wrote some time ago to ask what happened to Striker. I never got a response so I am asking again. I can't find anything on the internet and I would just like to know what happened? Would someone please post an update on him. Thank you.

I am soooooo excited. An avid fan for 5 seasons and have tried every one of them to get tickets without sucess.
Well, I am about to have my 50th birthday on 10/21 so I took yet another chance (as you can only request them once a season) to get tickets and wanted them for the taping on the exact day of my birthday -- you know, the big one, so I wanted to do something really special. I COULDN'T believe it -- about a week later I got a call -- TICKETS!! AND ON THE 21st!
It was funny, at first I thought one of my friends were pulling my leg because it was a Sunday - Ellen, what are you doing having your staff work on a Sunday?? LOL
Anyway, it was true! I will be there! I can't wait!! I am recovering from a serios injury but not so serious that I can't get myself to Burbank for your show.
I have watched you every day for five years -- well, of course I have to work for a living, but I DVR it and watch it the next morning with my coffee.
Oh, what about Gladys? Gladys Hardy from Austin, Texas. You haven't talked to her in a while - I hope she is in good health. I have to say, the times you spoke with her on the phone - especially when she was talking about how long she was married, took away the time her husband napped, wasn't listening, etc. and ended with "I guess you could say we are newlyweds"! I tell you, I almost peed my pants!
You are great, love your show, beautiful wedding, love how you promote kids and animals. You are a joy.

Hey Ellen, I love watching your show. If i know that I am going to miss it I record it. But I miss hearing from Gladys from Austin Texas, I am from Victoria Texas which is about 2 hours south of Austin. I enjoy you visiting with her so much she is so funny. If she won't come to your show you should go to see her & do a show in Austin. We Texans would love to see you! Again you have a great show!!
