ellen, i have always loved u specially when u go throught medical problems i have had.U bring to people so much love and happiness ( u did for me) so when u said that u are the new Cover girl im bit shock, they do test on animal and i thought u loved animals.Using animals for cosmetics is simply wrong.As human being we are so much better than that.Still love u but disappointed.....

I'm thinking there should be a 'new line'....

On a separate note, it's honestly hilarious to think some people believe there is a "true animal-free tested product" out there! Don't they know the majority of the companies pay for a patent to use technology that was previously tested, if at all! So even if company X did not do the testing themselves, they are still paying for the patent and leveraging the testing used by another! It's a funny thing, ignorance. :-)

I love animals like you do...At the present time I have 12 kitty kats, one rabbit and one Jack Russell Terrier that I have rescued....It is very expensive to feed and take care of them but I would go without food myself before I would let any animal go hungry...You and your show are the high point of my day...

Just wanted to say that I had the opportunity to be a part of your studio audience when you announced that you would be the new "Cover Girl". Hurray for you....why not? I love animals and have three dogs of my own. It is a sad reality that animals are used for purposes other than family pets. We however must remember that all animals are used in some way for our benefit, whether it be for food we eat, soaps we use, ect ect....it will always be a part of our life. Stem cell research uses mice and rats for testing....I feel for these tiny beings I really do, but if it's going to save a life then so be it. Ellen you are great. You bring so much happiness into my home everyday and I applaued you for all your hard work. We as human beings cannot please everyone...so with that said enjoy your new adventure and again....thank you for having me be a part of your show...it was awesome!!!

OMG! I can't believe this! The comments go up to 42, then back down to 34! Someone is really censoring our concerns! I know I have been very tamed in my opinions and yet I have had 3 of my messages posted then "un" posted. I think they are realizing that this is a HUGE debate going on about this subject.

I don't think the majority of us are picking on or putting down Ellen. We all agree we LOVE Ellen. That's why we are here. I'm not being mean to her or to anyone. As I said, I am only giving my opinion as any friend would to another friend. If you don't think something is going to be positive for someone, you bring your side to the table. They will either agree, disagree or consider what you said. It doesn't mean you are no longer friends or that you don't like each other anymore. Really. No one is going to become a protestor of Ellen and "hate" her now. Not after all we've been thru with her. We'll stand by her and try to understand her reasoning. I would like Ellen, too, to discuss this on the show. Not that she has to. She doesn't have to open up to us at all. It's her life. But, she does care for her fans and maybe she will discuss it. There are always 2 sides to every story.

Why can't people just leave celebraties that are actually decent and clean alone. Everyone has to pick at every little thing Ellen and other awesome celebraties over the stupidest stuff. If you don't like what she is doing don't watch her.
