Emily lives next door to where my father, Dr. Samuel Behr, lived. I remember her brother and little sister too. They are all adorable kids !!!
What a talent and the sweetness is unbelievable.

Ok so that little girl was so amazing. It wasn't just her talent that blew me away as much as her wonderful demeanor. I can only hope and pray to raise my child like that if my husband and I ever have one. I could tell she touched your heart and I know she melted mine and brought a tear to my eye along with a smile. That little girl is great, I can't even play the radio much less that. Well Thursday March 6th, 2008 My Daughter will find out if she will be having her baby Monday the 9th, sure wish that you could be here for that. It's a boy and they are naming him Callan Walker Smith. My other Daughter will be having her son the 25th of April by C-Section then I hope we are done. That will make 10 grandkids for me. I'm done anyway.
Hope I get to meet you someday because you've brightened many a sad day for me. I think your great.

This little talented beauty was such a delight to listen to on your show. Not only is she a great pianist she is a wonderful composer!! Ellen I love your show and the many people who you bring on your show!!

Ellen, I cried watching you and this beautiful and talented child. She touched us that were watching her as much as she touched you.

Emily Bear was a joy to listen to. Ellen, she knows you from another life. She captured your quiet strength and enduring spirit. She put to music your spirit amazingly.

Please continue to find these great young talents. So far Emily wins though.

Thank you.

Oh my God....I am balling my eyes out, this little girl is so beautiful and talented. I love that she is so humble (even if she is only 6 yrs. old). Way to go Emily! I enjoyed the perfomance so much!

I love this clip of little Emily Bear, I must have seen it a few dozen times, not only because of Emily (she's sooooo cute), but because I was in the studio audience that day and it was one of the best experiences ever. Thanks for showing that clip again and bringing back so many great memories.

Dear Ellen,
First of all, I love you and what you do on your show. I am an elementary music teacher and I enjoy seeing the young musicians, like Emily Bear, that you bring on your show. However, it concerns me when I read comments such as: "what a gift" and "she's so talented". Yes, she is both of these things. But we are so quick in our society to think that people have to be born with a gift or talent. We should remember that children can be taught. I believe that all children are capable of making music and I am dedicated to teaching them. I think that you, Ellen, are the perfect person to help us see past this idea of "being born able to sing", etc. Bring on some of the beginners! Let them show you their passion and devotion to the learning of an art. Again, thanks, I love what you do.
