Wow! Usually kids that age that are prodigies don't seem to have that musicality and that kind of excitement for music! It's so cool! =)
Of all the prodigies you've had on, she really is the most inspiring!
So often people learn to play every note in tune (if it's any other instrument than piano) and with perfect rhythm but forget about playing to have fun or enjoy the music; and she clearly does both.

I thought with all you have been through Ellen you are a true angel because in a heart beat you make people so happy and you have a way of truly making you love yourselves because we all are a gift from god , Ellen you have been privlaged to hold ,hear and shed a tear for the littlest angel god sent to thank you. Emily will make many people smile and show gods love with her talents. Thank you for sharing your find with all of us. I shed a tear and thanked god for both of you. Your true reason for being here on earth has made it known to us all. god -bless..........
She's a cutie patootie!!!
And that song that "just came out" that she wrote - that is an AMAZING tune!!! I love it and I hope you follow her career and keep us in touch with this little sweetheart!
Thanks Ellen for making my day brighter!!
Love you!
So e, I guess you're a cynic. If it was just a skill, anyone could practice and be that good. God grants a few very special people a gift of amazing musical talent. Emily has been granted. Of course she still has to learn and practice the songs but her songwriting at such a young age is also a gift and that isn't learned. As she said, "It just comes out." Since you obviously don't believe in God, at least admit that she was obviously born with a great set of musical DNA.

Guys, it's not a freaking gift from God. She has a SKILL. She learned it, she's earned it. It's HER, not "God." Give her a little credit.
Jeepers Creepers - What is this world coming to? Emily Bear is not only an extrodinary young lady, but quite a character, too! Ellen, Emily has that same sparkle in her eyes that you do; ya'll are just A M A Z I N G!! You know...her 10 min. Ellen tune would be a perfect match to your Spring Break Orlando white swan ride photo (More of that on my entry to be a part of that show.) Anyway, do you have a MySpace site? If so, I would like you to be a friend. :-)
I nearly broke my neck trying to get a cassette in place! ~ How 'bout this?: announce this kid's apperances several days ahead of time.
WOW! I work during the day and every now and again people send me links to your show. I would tape it, but I haven't read the directions on my VCR. Anyway, I love watching what I can of your show. You never fail to bring on the best. Emily was not only phenomenal for a 6 yr old, but to compose a song in 10 minutes is pure God given talent! The true artists today and decades before us did just that. She is a gift. You are a gift. Thank you Ellen. Now I will read the instructions to my VCR.
To Jaynie Kane
Probably not a really great idea to tell people where children live. I suppose you have made your point that you know them.

Also, her song has a great chord progression and lovely melody! Quite awesome!
